Dragon Duel Championship Round 1 Feature Match: Leo R. vs. Oscar F.
We’re kicking off the North America Dragon Duel Championship with a Feature Match of Midwest Duelists! Leo R. is here from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, playing a Primite Blue-Eyes Deck. He’s facing Oscar F., from Lincoln, Nebraska, playing White Forest. A win here would be a great way to kick off their championship run – it’s time to Duel!
Duel 1
Leo won the dice roll and chose to play first. Oscar’s opening hand was Witch of the White Forest, 2 Droll & Lock Bird, Foolish Burial Goods, and Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest.

Leo Normal Summoned Sage with Eyes of Blue, using its effect to add Maiden of White to his hand. Oscar activated Droll & Lock Bird. Leo used Maiden’s effect to put True Light on the field, then used True Light’s effect to Set Wishes for Eyes of Blue. He used Sage to Link Summon Spirit with Eyes of Blue, but had to pass here due to Droll.
Oscar drew The Hallowed Azamina. He activated Witch of the White Forest, and Leo used Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Oscar continued with Foolish Burial Goods, sending Curse of Diabell to the Graveyard. Curse’s effect put Filia Diabell in his hand. He activated Filia, which let him Special Summon Diabellze the White Witch. Diabellze sent Diabellstar Vengeance to the Graveyard, and he Special Summoned it by banishing Filia and Curse. The banished Filia boosted his monsters’ ATK. He paid half his Life Points for Vengeance to destroy True Light and Special Summon Rciela, Sinister Soul of the White Forest. True Light’s effect activated to destroy Leo’s monsters, and Rciela’s effect let Oscar send The Hallowed Azamina to the Graveyard to add Elzette of the White Forest to his hand. He moved to the Battle Phase, and all his monsters wiped out Leo’s Life Points in a single turn!
Duel 2
Oscar began the second Duel with Mulcharmy Purulia, Foolish Burial Goods, Droll & Lock Bird, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and Elzette of the White Forest.

In Leo’s Draw Phase, Oscar activated Mulcharmy Purulia. Leo started with Maiden to put True Light from his hand on the field, then used True Light’s effect to Set Wishes for Eyes of Blue. He passed, not wanting to feed into the Mulcharmy, hoping to make a bigger play on the following turn.
Oscar drew Mulcharmy Fuwalos. He activated Elzette’s effect, sending Foolish Burial Goods to the Graveyard to Special Summon Elzette and add Silvy of the White Forest to his hand. He Normal Summoned Silvy, which added Tales of the White Forest to his hand. He Synchro Summoned Rciela, which sent Tales to the Graveyard to add Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest to his hand. Tales returned to the field. Oscar used Elzette Azamina’s effect, Special Summoning it, and he Synchro Summoned Diabell, Queen of the White Forest! He used Diabell to return Foolish Burial Goods to his hand, and Elzette Azamina put Deception of the Sinful Spoils in his hand.
He played Deception, Tributing Fuwalos to add The Hallowed Azamina to his hand. He activated it, sending Deception to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon Azamina Mu Rcielago. Mu Rcielago put WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils in his hand. He then returned The Hallowed Azamina to his hand by returning Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest to the Deck. He played The Hallowed Azamina, and Chained WANTED. He added Diabellstar the Black Witch to his hand, then sent WANTED to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon Azamina Ilia Silvia. He Special Summoned Silvy by returning Rciela to the Extra Deck. He then sent Silvy to the Graveyard to Special Summon Diabellstar the Black Witch, which Set Sinful Spoils of the White Forest on the field. He used Diabellstar and Mu Rcielago to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, which banished True Light. He played Tales of the White Forest to add Diabellze the White Witch to his hand. He Special Summoned Diabellze by sending Sinful Spoils of the White Forest to the Graveyard. The sent Spell Card returned to the field, and Diabellze sent Curse of Diabell to the Graveyard, which put Filia Diabell in his hand. He played Filia to find Diabellstar Vengeance, and Special Summoned it by banishing two cards. He used Vengeance, paying half his Life Points to destroy Leo’s Set Wishes and bring Poplar of the White Forest to the field.
Oscar had thoroughly cleared Leo’s cards from the field, but couldn’t attack directly due to S:P Little Knight. He passed the turn, and Leo took another draw. He didn’t see a way through Oscar’s setup and passed back, accepting the direct attacks to end the Match!
Oscar F. takes the Match with White Forest!
