NAWCQ Round 1 Feature Match: Daniel Ramirez Medina vs. Zachary Shaw
The latest Duelist’s Advance booster set introduced cards that improved a variety of themes. Decks built around the “Morganite” cards are among those that got a big boost. The recent support gave rise to a new competitive strategy that uses a variety of “Morganite” cards to make it difficult for opponents to use their cards effectively. The release of Guilt-Gripping Morganite and Morgana the Witch of Eyes in Duelist’s Advance has made Daniel Ramirez from Seattle, Washington confident enough in the Deck to use it in the North America WCQ. Now he’s Dueling against Zachary Shaw from Sikeston, New Jersey and his Fiendsmith Orcust Deck in this Round 1 Feature Match! Orcust Decks got a bunch of new cards in the recently released Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem booster set, bringing the Orcust strategy to a new competitive level. It’s time to Duel!

He activated the Succumbing-Song Morganite, and then banished it from his Graveyard to add Guilt-Gripping Morganite from his Deck to his hand and return Gordian Slicer from his hand to the bottom of his Deck. Eventually, Shaw flipped Forbidden Droplet on his turn by sending a card to his Graveyard and negated Kristya’s effect while halving its ATK.
