QQ: What Deck Will Win YCS Vancouver?

QQ stands for Quick Questions! YCS Vancouver is an exciting event, partially because it’s the first YCS event where Duelists can compete using cards from the brand new set, Justice Hunters. The set introduces three amazing new themes in Yummy, K9, and Dracotail; all of them have proven to be formidable, appearing consistently at the top tables throughout the weekend. We asked Duelists on the floor at the YCS what Deck they think will the event, and here’s what they had to say:

“Probably Yummy. I think it’s the most consistent Deck since you have so many cards that you can start off your combo with, so it should be better for an event with so many rounds.” – Justin Javillonar

“Vanquish Soul K9 is the strongest Deck. It has the highest ceiling, and it’s really strong either going first or second. Because of Vanquish Soul Hollie Sue and K9-17 Izuna, it has multiple ways to play even when going second, which can be really hard for most other Decks to deal with, especially if you can bring out Vanquish Soul Razen and get extra searches in.” – Rynex Sanroque

“Even though everyone is playing the new Decks, I think one of the older Decks will win, like Maliss or Mitsurugi Ryzeal. Everyone is so focused on preparing for the new Decks that they might not side properly the old ones, but the old Decks are still really strong.” – Dakota Muirhead

“I think Vanquish Soul K9 will win. It’s the best Deck if it pops off, and I think it’s the Deck that most people are playing.” – Jesse Swynar
