Finals Feature Match: Gabriel Soussi vs. Sabit Zada
It all comes down to this! Gabriel Soussi from France and Sabit Zada from England are the final Duelists remaining in the 2025 North America Remote Duel YCS! Soussi has competed in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Championship twice, but is still chasing his first YCS victory. Now, he’s in the Finals with his Dracotail Deck. Zada is currently Dueling in his first-ever YCS Top Cut, and he’s just one Match victory away from the trophy with his K9 Vanquish Soul Deck. One of these Duelists will soon gain the honor of forever being known as a YCS champion. It’s time to Duel!
Duel One
Soussi activated Rahu Dracotail in his Main Phase and Zada Chained the effect of Dimension Shifter in his hand! Soussi fused Dracotail Urgula from his Deck with Performapal Odd-Eyes Dissolver in his hand to Summon Dracotail Gulamel and then Set a card to his back row before ending his turn. In the End Phase, Zada activated the effect of Bystial Magnamhut in his hand to Special Summon it in Defense Position by banishing Shifter from his Graveyard. He activated Magnamhut’s effect on the field and then added Bystial Druiswurm from his Deck to his hand.
Zada Normal Summoned K9-04 Noroi and activated its effect, but lost out to Soussi’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, Zada activated the effect of Vanquish Soul Hollie Sue to Special Summon it from his hand by revealing Vanquish Soul Caesar Valius from his hand. He activated Hollie Sue’s effect by revealing an EARTH and DARK monster from his hand, and Soussi Chained Dracotail Horn targeting Noroi. Zada Chained Caesar Valius’s effect in his hand to Special Summon it by returning Hollie Sue to his hand before the Noroi returned to his hand from the effect of Dracotail Horn. Zada took control of Gulamel with Hollie Sue’s effect and then Zada switched his Magnamhut into Attack Position. He attacked directly with Gulamel, Caesar Valius, and Magnamhut, immediately wiping Soussi out of the Duel!

An early Dimension Shifter allows Sabit Zada to take a quick win in Duel 1 with his K9 Vanquish Soul Deck!
Duel Two
Soussi started off Duel 2 by Normal Summoning Dracotail Lukias and using its effect to add Dracotail Faimena from his Deck to his hand. He activated Ketu Dracotail next, adding Dracotail Mululu from his Deck to his hand. He activated the effect of Faimena in his hand by discarding it and fused the Mululu in his hand with the Lukias on his field. He Special Summoned Secreterion Dragon and activated the effect of Lukias to Set Rahu Dracotail from his Deck to his field. He activated his Secreterion Dragon’s effect targeting Mululu and Lukias, and Zada Chained Druiswurm’s effect to banish Mululu from Soussi’s Graveyard and Summon Druiswurm. The Lukias was Special Summoned to Soussi’s field and Soussi sent Lukias and Secreterion to the Graveyard to Link Summon S:P Little Knight. He activated Little Knight’s effect to banish Druiswurm from the Duel and then flipped Rahu Dracotail. He fused Pan from his Deck with Urgula in his hand to Special Summon Dracotail Arthalion and then activated the effects of Pan, Urgula, and Arthalion, targeting Pan with Arthalion’s effect. He resolved all three effects, returning Pan from his Graveyard to his hand and then Setting Dracotail Horn and Dracotail Flame from his Deck with the effects of Pan and Urgula. He activated Urgula’s other effect in the Graveyard to return it to his Deck and return Faimena from his Graveyard to his hand. Next, he Set a card to his back row and passed his turn.
Zada Normal Summoned Noroi and activated its effect, but lost out to Soussi’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, Zada activated “A Case for K9” and Soussi Chained his Little Knight’s effect targeting Little Knight and Noroi to banish them both until the End Phase. Soussi Chained Dracotail Flame to negate the effect of “A Case for K9”. After the Chain resolved, Zada activated the effect of K9-66a Jokul in his hand by revealing Jokul and Hollie Sue from his hand, Summoning both monsters. Soussi activated Faimena’s effect next by discarding it, and when Zada Chained Called by the Grave targeting Faimena, Soussi Chained Dracotail Horn targeting his own Arthalion! He returned Arthalion to his Extra Deck and put the Faimena that was targeted by Called by the Grave on the bottom of his Deck and drew a card. Since the Faimena was no longer in the Graveyard to be banished by Called by the Grave, its effect resolved! He fused Dracotail Pan and Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous from his hand to Special Summon Dracotail Arthalion in Attack Position. He activated the effects of Pan and Arthalion (targeting the Jokul on the field and the Lukias in his Graveyard with Arthalion’s effect), and Zada conceded.

One final Duel will determine the winner of the 2025 North America Remote Duel YCS!
Duel Three
Zada started off Duel 3 by Normal Summoning K9-04 Noroi and activated its effect, but lost out to Soussi’s Infinite Impermanence. He then ended his turn without making any other play!
Soussi activated Ketu Dracotail in his Main Phase but lost out to Zada’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He Set a monster and Set a card to his back row, ending his turn with no strong plays of his own!
Zada drew a card and then entered his Battle Phase. He attacked Soussi’s face-down Shaddoll Squamata with Noroi, and its Flip Effect activated to destroy Noroi right before the Squamata was also destroyed in battle.
Soussi activated Dracotail Sting targeting Noroi in Zada’s Graveyard to banish it on his next turn. He returned a Dracotail card from his Graveyard to his Deck to draw a card, desperate for something that would help him make a more aggressive play. Disappointed by the card he drew, he ended his turn.
Zada drew a card and then Soussi activated the effect of Mulcharmy Purulia in the Draw Phase. In the Main Phase, Zada activated the effect of K9-66a Jokul in his hand by revealing Vanquish Soul Jiaolong. He Special Summoned both monsters in Attack Position and then activated Jokul’s on-field effect to add Noroi from his Deck to his hand. He combined Jiaolong with Jokul to Xyz Summon K9-17 “Ripper” and then Normal Summoned Noroi, allowing Soussi to draw another card from the effect of Purulia. He activated Noroi’s effect to try to Special Summon a monster from his Deck, but Soussi negated the effect with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, Zada activated Triple Tactics Talent to look at Soussi’s hand, and Soussi Chained the effect of another Purulia before revealing Ketu Dracotail and 2 copies of Dracotail Urgula. Zada returned the Ketu Dracotail to Soussi’s Deck and then continued his turn by activating K9-X Forced Release. He Xyz Summoned K9-X “Werewolf” over Ripper, entered his Battle Phase, and then attacked directly 3 times with “Werewolf” to end the Duel!

Sabit Zada narrowly wins 2-1 in the Finals to become the newest YCS champion!
