Duel One
Kippenberg opened up Duel 1 with Ice Ryzeal, Ryzeal Cross, Bonfire, Heraldic Beast Gryphon, and Nibiru, the Primal Being.

Mallick activated Primite Lordly Lode and used its effect to add Primite Dragon Ether Beryl to his hand. He Normal Summoned it and used its effect to Set Primite Drillbeam from his Deck to his field. Next, he sent Ether Beryl to the Graveyard to Link Summon Spirit with Eyes of Blue and used its effect to add Mausoleum of White from his Deck to his hand. He activated Wishes for Eyes of Blue next by discarding the Mausoleum and he added Maiden of White and Majesty of the White Dragons from his Deck to his hand. He activated the Maiden’s effect from his hand to put True Light from his Deck face-up onto his field. Then, he activated Roar of the Blue-Eyed Dragons to Special Summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from his Deck to his field in Defense Position. He banished Wishes from his Graveyard to equip his Blue-Eyes with Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from his Extra Deck and then sent his Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to the Graveyard to Special Summon Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon. He then Tributed his Spirit with Eyes of Blue to Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from his Graveyard, and then used his Maiden’s effect in the Graveyard to Special Summon it. He Tuned the Maiden with Blue-Eyes to Synchro Summon Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon and then entered his Battle Phase. Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon attacked and destroyed Ice Ryzeal, and then Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon attacked directly to drop Kippenberg down to 3800 Life Points. Next, he used True Light’s effect to Special Summon Blue-Eyes while still in the Battle Phase, and attacked directly with Blue-Eyes to drop Kippenberg down to 800 Life Points. Finally, he Tributed his Spirit Dragon to Special Summon Ancient Fairy Life Dragon in Defense Position! He attacked directly with it in Defense Position, thanks to its effect, wiping Kippenberg out of the Duel!
Muhtasim Mallick defeats Joshua Kippenberg on his first turn, and Kippenberg – who was holding onto Nibiru, the Primal Being – didn’t see it coming! Kippenberg chose to go first in Duel 2!
Duel Two
Kippenberg opened up Duel 2 with Seventh Tachyon, Heraldic Beast Gryphon, Harpie’s Feather Storm, and 2 copies of Ext Ryzeal. He Special Summoned Ext Ryzeal by sending Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard and then used the effects of Patriarch and Ext as Chain Links 1 and 2 respectively. Mallick Chained Infinite Impermanence to negate the effect of Ext, and Patriarch’s effect resolved to send Heraldic Beast Leo and Heraldic Beast Gryphon from Kippenberg’s Deck to his Graveyard. He used his Leo’s effect to add Heraldic Beast Stad Whale from his Deck to his hand. He Normal Summoned Stad Whale and activated its effect by discarding a Gryphon; but Mallick Chained Dominus Purge to negate its effect and destroy the Stad Whale. Next, Kippenberg banished Stad Whale from his Graveyard to Special Summon 2 Gryphons from his Graveyard to his field. He Set Feather Storm and then ended his turn.
Mallick activated the effect of Maiden of White in his hand by sending it to the Graveyard, and Kippenberg Chained Harpie’s Feather Storm to negate its effect, plus any other monster effects that Mallick would activate during the turn. As a result, Mallick ended his turn with no further play.
Kippenberg drew Star Ryzeal and then combined his two Gryphons to Xyz Summon Ryzeal Duo Drive. He detached an Xyz Material from it to Special Summon Star Ryzeal from his hand and then used Star’s effect to Set Ryzeal Cross from his Deck. He flipped it and then Special Summoned Ext Ryzeal from his hand by sending a Mereologic Aggregator from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard. He used its effect to negate the effect of the Ext he already had on the field from his previous turn, and used his newly Summoned Ext to add Sword Ryzeal from his Deck to his hand. He Special Summoned Sword and used its effect to add Ice Ryzeal to his hand. He combined both copies of Ext to Xyz Summon Ryzeal Detonator and then used its effect to attach Mereologic Aggregator as an Xyz Material from his Graveyard. Direct attacks from Star, Sword, Duo Drive, and Detonator wiped out all of Mallick’s Life Points!
Joshua Kippenberg evens up the score and pushes the Match to a third and final Duel with his Heraldic Beast Ryzeal Deck!

Mallick activated Mausoleum of White and used the extra Normal Summon it granted him to Summon Sage with Eyes of Blue from his hand. He used its effect to add Maiden of White from his Deck to his hand, then sent Maiden to his Graveyard to place True Light face-up in his Spell & Trap Card Zone. Next, he used True Light’s effect to Set Wishes for Eyes of Blue from his Deck to his field.
