Welcome to the 2025 North America Remote Duel Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series!
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (“YCS”) returns, and it’s from the comfort of your own home! The Remote Duel YCS lets Duelists set up a microphone and a camera pointing to their field, and Duel against other players over Discord for the chance of winning the same trophy and prizes that Duelists have become accustomed to competing for at in-person YCS events.

454 Duelists are competing in Round 1 of the Remote Duel YCS this weekend, and even though the competition will be held remotely, it will be as fierce as ever! James Markowitz won YCS Merida, Mexico just last weekend with his Mitsurugi Yummy Deck, and Aditya Dharap won YCS Pittsburgh a few weeks earlier with his Dracotail Deck. Mitsurugi, Yummy, and Dracotail strategies are expected to be popular picks for Duelists to use this weekend, but several Duelists are putting their faith in other strategies that they perceive to be powerful. These strategies include K9, Lunalight, Sky Striker, and Branded. The recent release of THE CHRONICLES DECK: The Fallen & The Virtuous (All-Foil Edition) gave some new strength to Branded strategies, which many Duelists have been integrating into their Dracotail Decks. At the end of the weekend, only one Duelists can take home the YCS trophy (or, more accurately, have the YCS trophy shipped to them) and claim the title of Remote Duel YCS champion!
Duelists will compete in 8 Swiss Rounds today, followed by 4 additional Swiss Rounds tomorrow for those with a strong enough record to advance. After all 12 Swiss Rounds are completed, the Top 8 Duelists will compete in a single-elimination bracket that will determine this weekend’s champion! Round 1 of the 2025 North America Remote Duel YCS is starting now!
