Advanced Format Round 4 Feature Match: Gregory Allen Scott vs. Yohan Dossantos
In this Round 4 Advanced Format Feature Match, we have two Duelists that have bolstered their Decks with new cards from Blazing Dominion. Yohan Dossantos is playing the Kewl Tune Deck, which looks to be a top tier threat with the addition of cards like Kewl Tune Rotary. Gregory Allen Scott is playing the Mitsurugi Deck, but has chosen to add several of the new Clown Crew cards, hoping to benefit from the effect of Clown Crew Biancaviso to draw into additional ways to disrupt his opponent. Each of these Duelists has a perfect 3-0 record, and looks to remain undefeated going into Round 4!
Duel 1
Scott opened the first Duel with Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Aramasa, Mitsurugi Prayers, Psy-Framegear Gamma, and Clown Crew Biancaviso.

Dossantos won the die roll and chose to go first! He began by activating Synchro Overtake and Special Summoning Kewl Tune Reco from the Deck. However, when he activated its effect, Scott Chained the effect of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit! Reco was destroyed as Dossantos searched for Kewl Tune Rotary. Next, Dossantos activated the effect of Rotary, revealing Kewl Tune Mix in his hand. Scott Chained the effect of Psy-Framegear Gamma, but Dossantos responded with Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion! Dossantos Normal Summoned Kewl Tune Mix, but didn’t activate its effect, knowing that Scott could simply activate the effect of Gamma once again. Instead, he Normal Summoned Rotary, then used Rotary and Mix on the field, as well as a copy of Kewl Tune Clip from hand, to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Remix! Dossantos banished a random card from Scott’s Extra Deck, then looked at Scott’s hand and searched for Kewl Tune Synchro. Finally, Dossantos Set a card to his backrow and ended his turn.
Scott drew Clown Crew Rehearsal for turn! He started his turn in the Draw Phase, activating Mitsurugi Prayers to search for Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi. He then activated the effect of Habakiri, Special Summoning and then Tributing Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Saji, then used its effect to search for Mitsurugi Ritual. He activated Ritual, Tributing Night Sword Serpent and Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi from his Deck to Special Summon Habakiri from hand, then Special Summoned back the Serpent and added Mitsurugi Ritual back to hand. Meanwhile, Dossantos activated Remix’s effect, Special Summoning Kewl Tune Reco back to the field and adding Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion to hand. Dossantos activated Reco’s effect on summon, searching for Kewl Tune Mix, then activated Kewl Tune Synchro, searching for Kewl Tune Cue, then using Reco from the field and Mix from hand to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune RS! Dossantos also activated Mix’s effect to destroy Scott’s Habakiri.

Next, Scott activated Mitsurugi Ritual once again, but Dossantos Chained the effect of RS, negating Ritual! To follow up, Scott Normal Summoned Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Aramasa, then used Aramasa and Night Sword Serpent to Xyz Summon Number 60: Dugares the Timeless! He activated its effect and drew Forbidden Droplet and Ame no Murakumo no Mitsurugi, then discarded Rehearsal. Unfortunately, he didn’t draw a card that would allow him to extend his combo, so he Set a card to his backrow and ended his turn.
Dossantos began his turn by Normal Summoning Kewl Tune Cue, but when he activated its effect, Scott Chained Forbidden Droplet, sending Clown Crew Biancaviso from hand and Number 60 from the field to the Graveyard to negate the effects of Cue and RS. Dossantos entered the Battle Phase and attacked Scott’s Life Points directly with Cue and RS, then in Main Phase 2, used Cue from the field and Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion from hand to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Loudness War! He used Cue’s effect to banish Fydraulis Harmonia from the top of his opponent’s Deck, then ended his turn.
Scott drew Clown Crew Soiree Operations for turn! Without any way to defend his Life Points from RS on the following turn, Scott conceded the first Duel.

Duel 2
Scott chose to go first in the second Duel! He opened with Clown Crew Malabarisme, Mitsurugi no Mikoto, Kusanagi, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and two copies of Clown Crew Flair. He started in the Draw Phase by activating Malabarisme, but Dossantos responded with the effect of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. In the Main Phase, Scott activated the effect of Flair, searching for Clown Crew Rehearsal and discarding a copy of Flair. He then activated Rehearsal, discarding Kusanagi and searching for both Clown Crew Biancaviso and Clown Crew Matinee Operatics. Next, Scott activated Operatics, Special Summoning Clown Crew Diabolo from his Extra Deck. He banished Rehearsal from his Graveyard to Tribute Diabolo and Ritual Summon Flair, but when he activated the effect of the Tributed Diabolo, Dossantos responded with the effect of Psy-Framegear Gamma! Doss Special Summoned both Psy-Framegear Gamma and Psy-Frame Driver from hand, as Scott used Flair’s effect to return both copies of Flair to his Deck. During the End Phase, Scott used the effect Biancaviso to draw Ame no Murakumo no Mitsurugi and Poissonniere de Nouvelles, then ended his turn.
Dossantos began his turn by activating the effect of Kewl Tune Rotary, revealing Kewl Tune Reco in his hand. He Normal Summoned the Reco and activated its effect, but was met by Scott’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Dossantos then used Reco from the field and Rotary from hand to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Track Maker! Without any way to stop Dossantos from building a board, Scott conceded.

With the victory, Dossantos improves to 4-0 here at YCS Columbus!
