What is a “Remote Duel”?
Are you new to “Remote Duels” for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME or confused about how this weekend’s Remote Duel YCS works? Here’s everything you need to know!
In a Remote Duel for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, players can compete against one another from anywhere in the world! All they need is a video feed, a stable internet connection, and the ability to communicate with other Remote Duel participants. This weekend’s tournament is taking place in a Discord server, so players will need to create an account with Discord in order to compete.
If you’re competing in a Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Remote Duel, you’ll need a camera that points to your field of cards so that your opponent can see it. Everything that’s going on in the Duel is visible on that feed, so it’s just like Dueling in person!
Remote Duels are safe and convenient. Many of them also award incredible prizes similar to those that you can win at official in-person Konami tournaments. This weekend’s Remote Duel YCS, for example, awards prizing that is nearly identical to the prizing awarded at an in-person YCS, including the Ultra Rare Anotherverse Solaria prize card and special Anotherverse Solaria trophy for first place!
Lots of Official Tournament Stores also host Remote Duel tournaments regularly. Be sure to join them if you want to experience the thrill of competitive Dueling without leaving your house.
