Then he sent his next Infernity Launcher to the Graveyard to Special Summon Infernity Archfiend and Infernity Beetle again. All Spell and Trap Cards were returned to their owners’ hands by Giant Trunade. Miotke Summoned X-Saber Airbellum next, and attacked directly with Airbellum and Boggart Knight. Airbellum knocked a Torrential Tribute out of Beldon’s hand. Miotke Set Saber Hole in Main Phase 2 and ended his turn.

Beldon Set 2 cards in his back row and quickly passed his next turn.

Miotke drew One for One next turn. He Tuned X-Saber Airbellum with XX-Saber Darksoul and Synchro Summoned XX-Saber Hyunlei, targeting both cards in Beldon’s back row with its effect. He used his Archfiend’s effect to search his Deck for another Infernity Barrier, add it to his hand, and Set it in his Spell and Trap Card Zone. Next, Beldon’s Necromancer revived his Avenger, and he Synchro Summoned Hundred-Eyes Dragon by Tuning his Necromancer, Avenger, and Archfiend together. He used the effect of his Hundred-Eyes Dragon to copy the effect of the Necromancer in his Graveyard, allowing him to Special Summon Infernity Archfiend with Hundred-Eyes Dragon. Beldon activated his Archfiend’s effect to search his Deck for Infernity Inferno and add it to his hand. He Set the Inferno face-down. Next, Beldon activated the effect of Infernity Doom Dragon to destroy Emmersblade. Then, Hundred-Eyes Dragon attacked Boggart Knight. Miotke flipped Mirror Force, but Beldon negated it by Tributing Stardust Dragon. Infernity Archfiend attacked directly next, and Beldon returned Stardust Dragon to his field in the End Phase.

Miotke activated Brain Control next turn, targeting Beldon’s Infernity Doom Dragon, but Beldon flipped Infernity Barrier to negate it. Miotke desperately Set a monster, but Beldon blew it up with Infernity Doom Dragon next turn and ended the Duel with attacks from the rest of his monsters!

Post-Event Analysis!
See what our panel of experts had to say about this Duel after the event was over.

Michael Kohanim (2009 World Championship Competitor)
In Duel 2, Miotke checked Beldon’s Graveyard for Torrential Tribute before Summoning a second copy of Consecrated Light to the field. Miotke knew that Torrential Tribute was probably the only Spell or Trap Cards in Beldon’s Deck that could destroy 2 copies of Consecrated Light at once. By verifying that Torrential Tribute was already gone, he knew that he could safely commit his Consecrated Light to the field and prevent Beldon from making any powerful plays with his DARK monsters.
