This was Table 1 of the Sunday Dragon Duel! Nine year-old Lance Bradshaw was piloting X-Sabers, while his opponent, twelve year-old Tristan Juhasz, played Frog Monarchs. Both competitors were victorious in all their Matches thus far, but only one Duelist would walk away with an undefeated record for the day!

Bradshaw opened the Match with XX-Saber Emmersblade, Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, Solemn Judgment, Royal Oppression, Bottomless Trap Hole, and XX-Saber Faultroll. He Set Bottomless, Solemn, Oppression, and Emmersblade.

Juhasz Normal Summoned Swap Frog, sending his Ronintoadin to the Graveyard. He returned Swap Frog to his hand, then Normal Summoned Dupe Frog. He discarded Treeborn Frog, Special Summoned Swap Frog, and used its ability a second time to send Substitoad to his Graveyard. He returned Swap Frog to his hand, Set a Spell or Trap, and removed Treeborn Frog to Special Summon Ronintoadin.

Bradshaw drew Giant Trunade, and Juhasz Tributed Dupe Frog for Spiritual Water Art – Aoi. Bradshaw revealed his hand: Gorz, Faultroll, and Giant Trunade. Juhasz discarded the Gorz. Bradshaw passed.

Juhasz Tributed Ronintoadin for Vanity’s Fiend, but Bradshaw removed it with Bottomless Trap Hole! Juhasz Summoned Ronintoadin by removing Dupe Frog.

Bradshaw drew Summoner Monk! He discarded Giant Trunade, Special Summoned Rescue Cat, sent it to the Graveyard, and Special Summoned XX-Saber Darksoul and X-Saber Airbellum. He Tuned them together for Goyo Guardian, attacked Ronintoadin, and Special Summoned it in Defense Position.

Juhasz discarded Dupe Frog to Special Summon Swap Frog, sending Treeborn Frog to the Graveyard. He Normal summoned Substitoad, Tributed Swap Frog for another Swap Frog, sending Substitoad to the Graveyard, and Tributed that for another. He returned Swap Frog to his hand and Normal Summoned Dupe Frog.

Bradshaw Flip Summoned Emmersblade, and attacked with Emmersblade and Goyo Guardian to press damage through Dupe Frog.

Juhasz Special Summoned Treeborn Frog, then Tributed it for Dark Dust Spirit. Bradshaw negated the Summon with Solemn Judgment. Juhasz switched his monsters to Defense Position and ended.

Bradshaw passed.

Juhasz passed.

Bradshaw passed again.

Juhasz Special Summoned Treeborn Frog in Attack Position, activated Creature Swap, and traded his Treeborn Frog for his Ronintoadin, taking it back.

Bradshaw passed.

Juhasz passed.

Bradshaw passed again.

Juhasz activated Heavy Storm, and Bradshaw lost his Gottoms‘ Emergency Call and Royal Oppression. Juhasz Tributed Ronintoadin for Caius the Shadow Monarch, removed Goyo Guardian from the game, and attacked Treeborn Frog for 2300 Battle Damage. Bradshaw was down to 1700 Life Points.

Bradshaw Summoned XX-Saber Boggart Knight, Special Summoned XX-Saber Faultroll, and Special Summoned Airbellum with Faultroll. He Tuned Boggart Knight and Airbellum together for X-Saber Urbellum and Set 1 card to his back row.

Juhasz Special Summoned Treeborn Frog, then removed Swap Frog to Special Summon Ronintoadin. He Tributed both for Light and Darkness Dragon, then attacked Faultroll with the Dragon. Caius attacked Urbellum, and Bradshaw had 1100 Life Points left. Juhasz had 4400 Life Points left.

Bradshaw Summoned XX-Saber Darksoul, Special Summoned XX-Saber Faultroll, and tried to Special Summon with Faultroll, which forced Light and Darkness Dragon to use a negation, dropping its ATK & DEF.

Juhasz attacked Darksoul with Caius next turn to take the first Duel!

Tristan Juhasz captures Duel 1! Both competitors quickly sided and shuffled up their Decks for the second Duel.

Bradshaw started with a hand of Gold Sarcophagus, XX-Saber Emmersblade, X-Saber Airbellum, XX-Saber Darksoul, Book of Moon, and Summoner Monk. He Set Emmersblade, then used Gold Sarcophagus to remove Rescue Cat from his Deck. He Set Book of Moon.

Juhasz Set a monster, then Set a Spell or Trap.

Bradshaw Flip Summoned Emmersblade, Normal Summoend Airbellum, Special Summoned Faultroll, and attacked into Dupe Frog with Airbellum. He took 400 damage, destroyed Dupe Frog with Airbellum, and tried to attack with Emmersblade, but Juhasz Special Summoned Battle Fader. Bradshaw Synchro summoned XX-Saber Hyunlei, but lost her to Divine Wrath, as Juhasz discarded Ronintoadin. Bradshaw Special Summoned Airbellum with Faultroll.

Juhasz removed Dupe Frog to Special Summon Ronintoadin, and Tributed Battle Fader to take control of Faultroll. He attacked with Faultroll, Bradshaw activated Book of Moon to turn his Airbellum face down, and Airbellum was destroyed. Juhasz then Tributed both of his monsters for Light and Darkness Dragon, and Set a Spell or Trap Card to finish out.

Bradshaw drew Gorz the Emissary of Darkness. He took his Rescue Cat, Set Darksoul, and ended.

Juhasz attacked Darksoul and negated its effect.

Bradshaw drew and Set Solemn Judgment.

Juhasz attacked for 2300 Battle Damage.

Bradshaw drew Torrential Tribute, Set it, and Set Summoner Monk.

Juhasz attacked to destroy Summoner Monk.

Bradshaw drew Darksoul, Summoned it, flipped Torrential Tribute, and Light and Darkness Dragon negated it.

Juhasz attacked Darksoul and negated its effect.

Bradshaw drew D.D. Crow, discarded it, and made the Dragon use its last negation. He Normal Summoned Rescue Cat, used it to Special Summon Darksoul and Airbellum, and Juhasz activated Gottoms’ Emergency Call: Bradshaw negated it with Solemn Judgment. He was down to 1800 Life Points. He Synchro Summoned Goyo Guardian, attacked for 2000 damage, and Juhasz Special Summoned his Ronintoadin.

Juhasz Tribute summoned Caius the Shadow Monarch, removed Darksoul, and attacked for victory!
