QQ: What’s YOUR signature monster?
Every famous Duelist has at least 1 signature monster. Yugi Mutou has the Dark Magician, Seto Kaiba has the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Yusei Fudo has Stardust Dragon, and Jack Atlas has Red Dragon Archfiend. But there are also plenty of Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duelists who have monsters that they like to consider their signature cards. I asked a bunch of Duelists in today’s competition what their signature monster is. Check out their responses.
“Scrap Dragon. It [destroys] whatever I want, and if it [gets destroyed by my opponent and goes to the Graveyard] I get to bring something back.” –Alex Wang
“Gellenduo. No one ever thinks of teching it, even though it counts as 2 Tributes for Kristya.” –Ryan Mitchell
“Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World. He works very well with Dark Deal.” –Albert Lindsey
“Dark Mimic LV3. He works very well with Skill Drain.” –Kenny Havelka
“Battle Fader. It’s really good against Lightsworn.” –Adam Donahue
“Legendary Jujitsu Master. I’ve had a lot of good experiences with him. Great success stories.” –Tyler Shafer
“Stardust Dragon. It has a really good effect.” –Sam Oransky
“Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo. It shuts down Main Decks.” –Garett Ronco
“Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter. I’ve played it ever since it came out.” –Russell Miner
“Machina Fortress. It’s an easy monster to bring out and it’s a walking Confiscation.” –Nick Trudden
“Debris Dragon. It’s broken.” –Chris DiGregrio
“As much as I love Pandaborg, I’d have to say it’s Elemental Hero Stratos because Jaden is so much cooler than Yugi and Yusei.” –Nick Bottino
Duelists chose all different monsters as their signature cards, each one expressing that Duelist’s individuality. When you play your favorite monster, it’s a little like putting a bit of yourself into your Deck, and Dueling becomes that much more exciting.
