Round 5 Feature Match: Honorable Billy Brake vs. Chase Sly
Billy Brake and Chase Sly are both local Texans who are currently undefeated in the tournament. Billy Brake is running a Six Samurai Deck that uses Legendary Six Samurai – Mizuho and Legendary Six Samurai – Shinai to pull off cool combos that can give him a bunch of Bushido Counters.
Chase Sly is running a Blackwing Deck. Sly’s copies of Mystical Space Typhoon and Icarus Attack could be problematic for Brake, who relies heavily on his Gateway of the Six and Six Samurai United to win.
Brake opened up with Gateway of the Six, Six Samurai United, Musakani Magatama, Dust Tornado, Dark Hole, and Reinforcement of the Army. He activated Reinforcement of the Army to search his Deck for Legendary Six Samurai – Kizan and add it to his hand. Then he activated Gateway of the Six and Six Samurai United. Sly’s Whirlwind activated and he searched his Deck for a copy of Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind to add to his hand. Sly Special Summoned it and activated its effect to halve the ATK and DEF of Blackwing – Bora the Spear. Next, he Tuned Kalut with Gale to Synchro Summon Goyo Guardian.
