Round 6 Feature Match: Justin Delhon vs. Maxwell Wegman
Justin Delhon and Maxwell Wegman are both undefeated, with perfect 5-0 records, heading into Round 6. Delhon is running a Psychic Gadget Deck, further teched out with Thunder King Rai-Oh and Doomcaliber Knight. His opponent, Maxwell Wegman, is running a Plant Synchro Deck with 2 copies of Limit Reverse in it to Special Summon Lonefire Blossom and Dandylion back from his Graveyard.
Delhon opened up with Green Gadget, Dust Tornado, Spirit Reaper, Cyber Dragon, Mirror Force, and Pot of Duality. He Normal Summoned Green Gadget and searched his Deck for a Red Gadget to add to his hand with its effect. Then he activated Pot of Duality, revealing Krebons, Cyber Dragon, and Book of Moon from the top of his Deck. He added Book of Moon to his hand and shuffled the other 2 cards back into his Deck. He Set Book of Moon and Dust Tornado, ending his turn.
Wegman Set a monster and 3 back rows. In his End Phase, Delhon flipped Dust Tornado to destroy a newly Set Solemn Warning.
Delhon attacked Wegman’s face-down Dandylion with Green Gadget next turn, allowing Wegman to Special Summon 2 Fluff Tokens to the field. In Main Phase 2, he Normal Summoned Red Gadget and activated its effect to add a Yellow Gadget from his Deck to his hand.
Wegman Tributed a Fluff Token for Caius next turn and targeted Delhon’s face-down Book of Moon with its effect, but Delhon Chained Book of Moon to put Caius face-down. He Set a back row and passed.
Delhon attacked a Fluff Token with Red Gadget, and then attacked the face-down Caius with Green Gadget, destroying both of Wegman’s monsters. Delhon Set Dimensional Prison before ending his turn. In his End Phase, Wegman flipped Call of the Haunted to Special Summon Caius.
Wegman activated Limit Reverse next turn, in order to Special Summon Dandylion from his Graveyard. He Tributed Dandylion and Caius to Summon Tytannial, Princess of Camellias, and Special Summoned 2 Fluff Tokens with Dandylion’s effect. Next, Wegman attacked a Gadget with Tytannial, but Delhon flipped Mirror Force to destroy it.
Delhon Normal Summoned Spirit Reaper next turn. He attacked both of Wegman’s Fluff Tokens with his Gadgets and then tried attacking directly with Spirit Reaper, but Wegman flipped Book of Moon to put the Spirit Reaper face-down.
Wegman activated Foolish Burial next turn to send Dandylion from his Deck to his Graveyard. The effect of Dandylion activated and Wegman Special Summoned 2 Fluff Tokens to the field. He Set a card to his back row and ended his turn.
Delhon attacked both Fluff Tokens with his Gadgets and promptly passed.
Wegman Summoned Debris Dragon next turn! He activated its effect to Special Summon Dandylion from his Graveyard, and Tuned Dandylion with Debris Dragon to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon from his Extra Deck. He Special Summon 2 Fluff Tokens in Defense Position with the effect of Dandylion. Since Wegman had no cards in his hand, but Delhon was holding 5 cards, he decided not to blow up the field with Black Rose Dragon. Wegman activated his face-down Pot of Avarice next, sending Debris Dragon, Caius the Shadow Monarch, Tytannial, Princess of Camellias, and 2 copies of Dandylion from his Graveyard to his Deck in order to draw 2 cards. Wegman declared an attack against Green Gadget with Black Rose Dragon, but Delhon flipped Dimensional Prison to remove Black Rose Dragon from the Duel.
Delhon drew Thunder King Rai-Oh next turn and then flipped up his Spirit Reaper. He attacked both Fluff Tokens with his 2 Gadgets and then attacked directly with Spirit Reaper, knocking a Pot of Avarice out of Wegman’s hand with Reaper’s effect.

Delhon Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh and attacked Wegman’s face-down Super-Nimble Mega Hamster with Thunder King Rai-Oh, destroying it in battle. Wegman Special Summoned Ryko from his Deck. Red Gadget attacked Ryko, and it destroyed Spirit Reaper with its effect before sending Spore and Dandylion from the top of Wegman’s Deck to his Graveyard. Green Gadget took out a Fluff Token next. He Set a back row and passed.
Wegman Set a monster and a back row next turn.
Delhon attacked the Set Ryko with Thunder King Rai-Oh, and Ryko destroyed it. Then Red Gadget took down a Fluff Token, and Green Gadget attacked directly. He Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh next, but Wegman flipped Bottomless Trap Hole to remove it from the Duel.
Wegman Set a card to his back row and ended his turn.
Delhon activated Mystical Space Typhoon on the newly Set back row, which was Limit Reverse, Wegman Chained it, and Delhon flipped Royal Oppression to negate it by paying 800 Life Points. Wegman Summoned Yellow Gadget next and activated its effect to grab a Green Gadget from his Deck. Delhon then attacked directly with each of his 3 Gadgets, dropping Wegman down to 2400 Life Points.
Wegman drew Lonefire Blossom with no cards in his hand and Set it.
On Delhon’s next turn, he Summoned Psychic Commander and Tuned it with Yellow Gadget to try to Summon Black Rose Dragon, but Wegman paid 800 Life Points to negate its Summon with Delhon’s Oppression. But it didn’t matter – Delhon activated Monster Reborn to Special Summon Psychic Commander back to the field and used it to take down Wegman’s face-down Lonefire Blossom. After 2 attacks from Delhon’s Gadgets, Wegman was out of the Duel!
Maxwell Wegman will be going first in Duel 2!
Wegman started things off by Summoning Thunder King Rai-Oh and Setting one card to his back row.
Delhon opened up with Emergency Teleport, Mystical Space Typhoon, Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, Thunder King Rai-Oh, Cyber Dragon, and Nobleman of Crossout. He Set Mystical Space Typhoon and ended his turn. A strong play for baiting out an attack so he could drop Gorz.
Wegman fell for it! He attacked with Thunder King Rai-Oh, and Delhon flipped Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Wegman’s face-down Book of Moon. Delhon took the damage and Special Summoned Gorz along with a 1900 ATK Emissary of Darkness Token from his hand in Defense Position. In Main Phase 2, Wegman activated Mind Control to take control of Gorz, and Normal Summoned Effect Veiler. He Tuned Effect Veiler with Gorz to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon, Set 2 back rows, and passed.
Delhon collided his Token into Thunder King Rai-Oh next turn, destroying them both. Then he Normal Summoned Green Gadget and activated its effect to search his Deck for a Red Gadget to add to his hand. He Set Nobleman of Crossout and ended his turn.
Wegman activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy the face-down Nobleman of Crossout and then Normal Summoned Lonefire Blossom from his hand! He Tributed it to Special Summon another copy of Lonefire Blossom from his Deck, and then Tributed that Lonefire Blossom to Special Summon Tytannial, Princess of Camellias. Tytannial attacked over Green Gadget and then Stardust Dragon attacked directly, dropping Delhon down to 2200 Life Points.
Delhon drew Dark Hole next turn, but with Stardust Dragon on the field, it wasn’t immediately useful. Delhon Summoned Red Gadget instead, and activated its effect to search his Deck for a Yellow Gadget and add it to his hand. Next, he activated Emergency Teleport to Special Summon Krebons from his Deck, and Tuned it with Red Gadget to Synchro Summon Goyo Guardian! Goyo Guardian hit the field and attacked over Stardust Dragon, destroying it in battle and Special Summoning it to Delhon’s side of the field.
But it wasn’t enough! Wegman Normal Summoned Debris Dragon next turn and activated its effect to Special Summon Lonefire Blossom from his Graveyard. He Tuned Lonefire Blossom with Debris Dragon to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon, then activated his Dragon’s effect by removing Lonefire Blossom from his Graveyard to switch Stardust Dragon into Attack Position and reduce its ATK to 0! After an attack from Black Rose Dragon over Stardust Dragon, Delhon was out of the Duel!
Delhon opened up Duel 3 with Yellow Gadget, Tragoedia, Krebons, Solemn Warning, Mystical Space Typhoon, and Emergency Teleport. He Summoned Yellow Gadget to the field and activated its effect to add a Green Gadget from his Deck to his hand. Then he Set Mystical Space Typhoon and Solemn Warning.
Wegman Set a monster and passed.
Delhon drew Pot of Duality next turn. He activated it, revealing another Pot of Duality, Nobleman of Crossout, and Gorz the Emissary of Darkness from the top of his Deck. He took the Nobleman of Crossout and shuffled the other 2 cards back into his Deck, then activated the Nobleman of Crossout to remove Wegman’s face-down Dandylion from the Duel. Next, Delhon Normal Summoned Green Gadget and activated its effect to add a Red Gadget from his Deck to his hand. Then he attacked directly with Yellow Gadget and Green Gadget, dropping Wegman down to 5400 Life Points. Delhon Set a card to his back row to conclude his turn.
Wegman Normal Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh next turn and used it to declare an attack on Yellow Gadget. Delhon lost 700 Life Points and Special Summoned Tragoedia in Defense Position after taking the damage! Wegman Set 3 cards to his back row and passed.
Delhon drew a Thunder King Rai-Oh of his own on his next turn, and then activated Traogedia’s effect to steal Thunder King Rai-Oh by discarding a Red Gadget from his hand. Thunder King Rai-Oh and Green Gadget attacked directly, dropping Wegman down to 2100 Life Points. He ended his turn with 3 cards in his hand.
Wegman Special Summoned Cyber Dragon next turn, but Delhon negated the Summon by Tributing his Rai-Oh. Next, Wegman activated Call of the Haunted to try to Special Summon Thunder King Rai-Oh, but Delhon flipped Solemn Warning and paid 2000 Life Points to negate it. Wegman Set a card to his back row and passed.
Delhon drew Monster Reborn next turn and then activated his face-down Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Wegman’s newly Set Pot of Avarice. Next, he activated Emergency Teleport to Special Summon Psychic Commander from his Deck. Delhon Tuned Psychic Commander with his Gadget to Summon Black Rose Dragon and destroy everything on the field, including Wegman’s face-down Mystical Space Typhoon and Solemn Warning. He finished the Duel on his next play by activating Monster Reborn to revive Cyber Dragon from Wegman’s Graveyard, and using it to attack for the win!
