“It’s all about Destiny End Dragoon,” Bowden told me. With 3 copies of Polymerization in his Deck and 3 copies of King of the Swamp to search it out, Bowden aims to Fusion Summon Destiny End Dragoon whenever he needs it. That’s why he maximized his chances of doing it, by running a full set of Destiny Hero – Plasmas and Destiny Hero – Dogmas, too. In a pinch, Bowden can also use his Elemental Hero Prisma or King of the Swamp to step in and take the place of one of those 2 monsters in the Fusion.

Once Destiny End Dragoon hits the field, it can be tough to get rid of. Bowden can just park it on the field and pick off a monster each turn by using its effect, without even attacking. Bowden even gets the added bonus of inflicting some damage to his opponent with each face-up monster he destroys by using his Dragoon’s effect!

Even if Bowden’s opponent does manage to destroy the Dragoon, Bowden can Special Summon it in his next Standby Phase by removing a Destiny Hero monster from his Graveyard. At times, Bowden is even able to return Destiny End Dragoon to the field in his Standby Phase, Tribute it with Deck Devastation Virus or Eradicator Epidemic Virus, and then Special Summon it again in that same Standby Phase, while stripping his opponent’s hand and field!

But Bowden’s Deck isn’t all about Destiny End Dragoon. “Destiny End Dragoon has a lot of friends,” he told me, referring to all of his other Hero monsters. Bowden uses Elemental Hero Ocean and Destiny Hero – Diamond Dude to fill out his Hero lineup. He also uses Elemental Hero Stratos to search out any of his Hero monsters, as well as 3 copies of E – Emergency Call and a Reinforcement of the Army to grab Stratos as quickly as he can.

Since Bowden’s Deck is packed with Hero monsters, as well as LIGHT monsters and WATER monsters including King of the Swamp, Bowden can easily use Polymerization to Summon Elemental Hero Absolute Zero and Elemental Hero The Shining, too. But the fun doesn’t stop there! He can also use Miracle Fusion to Summon those 2 powerful Fusion monsters, and all he needs in order to do it is a couple of monsters in his Graveyard.

But Bowden’s favorite play is to use Miracle Fusion or Polymerization to Summon Elemental Hero Terra Firma, by using Elemental Hero Ocean and King of the Swamp. If he does this while Elemental Hero Absolute Zero is on the field, he can use Terra Firma’s effect to Tribute Elemental Hero Absolute Zero and boost Terra Firma to 5000 ATK while destroying all of his opponent’s monsters. If he throws a Destiny End Dragoon into the mix, he can make it an even 8000 points of damage. Bowden is running a pair of Royal Decrees in his Deck to give him some security when he’s making big plays like this one.

Bowden’s Extra Deck is comprised of nothing but Fusion Monsters, including ones he can’t even Summon with the cards in his Main Deck! But a few Side Decked copies of Super Polymerization allow him to use his opponents’ monsters against them, and let Bowden Summon Elemental Hero Gaia and Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste to the field.

Michael Bowden’s Dragoon Hero Deck puts a new spin on Fusion Summoning by utilizing the classic Polymerization Spell Card along with some of the strongest Fusion Monsters there are. The surprising stunts his Deck can pull off gave Bowden a big advantage against unwitting opponents in the competition this weekend!
