QQ: Did the New Dragon Duel Championship Influence Your Decision to Compete in Dragon Duels?
QQ stands for Quick Questions! As so many of the young Duelists have heard, next year a special World Championship will be held for young Dragon Duelists who excelled at the World Championship Qualifier. I asked a bunch of this weekend’s Dragon Duelists whether the announcement of the new Dragon Duel Championship influenced their decision to compete in Dragon Duels. Check out their answers!
“No, I was trying to play in as many Dragon Duels as possible already, because in January I’m turning 13!” –Zachary Leverett
“I think yes. I’ll probably go to more YCSes to try to beat out the competition.” –Benjamin Leverett
“It doesn’t really change anything at all. I’m still pretty much going to go to all of them.” –Oliver Tomajko
“No, I didn’t even know about it until today. I was coming anyway.” –Chase Fulmer
“Yeah, the Main Event is way tougher, and there’s good prizes at Nats. All the good Dragon Duelists from last year turned 13, so they won’t be able to play. I think I have a really good chance this year.” –Tommy Rowe
“Yeah, before it was just a Nats. Now, if I go to Nats and I top, I get to go to Worlds. It’s cool!” –Vinnie Silverman
“I compete in Dragon Duels most of the time anyway, but at the same time, it makes me more excited and makes me want to try harder because I know there’s a bigger reward at the end. Now you get to explore the world entering Dragon Duels!” –Joshua Bridges
“Yeah, I really like the Dragon Duels. It’s not as hard as facing older kids. And going to the World Championship would make me really happy.” –Xavier Tahtabrounian
