Marquis Henderson made it to the Top 4 with his T.G. Deck – a Deck that few Duelists expected to make it this far this weekend. But in getting here, Marquis Henderson proved to everyone that his T.G. Deck has some great match-ups in the current field of Decks. Now, Henderson is up against another Deck that’s vulnerable to Skill Drain and his assortment of Trap Cards – Anthony Pascariello’s Wind-Up Deck! A win for Henderson will put his T.G. Deck into the Finals, while a victory for Pascariello will be an impressive showing for newly-constructed Wind-Ups.

Henderson started off Duel 1 by Normal Summoning T.G. Rush Rhino and Setting 3 cards to his back row.

Pascariello opened up by Setting 2 copies of Mystical Space Typhoon and a Wind-Up Factory.

Henderson Summoned T.G. Warwolf and then attacked directly with his Warwolf and Rhino. Pascariello took both hits and dropped down to 4800 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Henderson used Pot of Duality, revealing TG1-EM1, Reborn Tengu, and Dark Hole from the top of his Deck. He added the TG1-EM1 to his hand and shuffled the other 2 cards back into his Deck. Henderson Set a card to his back row before ending his turn. Pascariello used Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy the newly Set TG1-EM1 in the End Phase.

Pascariello drew Monster Reborn next turn; but there were no monsters in the Graveyard that he could revive with it. He desperately Set a Maxx “C” and ended his turn.

Henderson Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh next turn. He attacked Pascariello’s face-down Maxx “C” with T.G. Rush Rhino and Pascariello flipped Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Henderson’s face-down Horn of the Phantom Beast. Henderson’s Rhino took down the Maxx “C” and then Thunder King Rai-Oh and T.G. Warwolf attacked directly to drop Pascariello down to 1700 Life Points.

Pascariello drew Wind-Up Rabbit next turn. He Summoned it and attacked T.G. Warwolf with it, destroying the Warwolf in battle. Pascariello activated Monster Reborn next, reviving T.G. Warwolf in Defense Position from Henderson’s Graveyard. He tried to overlay Wind-Up Rabbit and T.G. Warwolf to Summon Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity, but Henderson sent his Rai-Oh to the Graveyard to negate its Summon.

Henderson attacked directly with T.G. Rush Rhino next turn to wipe out the rest of Pascariello’s Life Points and win the Duel!

Pascariello Set Royal Decree and Mystical Space Typhoon and ended his turn.

Henderson Special Summoned T.G. Striker, followed by 2 T.G. Warwolfs, one after the other Then he Tuned 1 T.G. Striker with 1 T.G. Warwolf to Synchro Summon T.G. Wonder Magician, and used his Wonder Magician’s effect to destroy Pascariello’s face-down Mystical Space Typhoon. Next, Henderson attacked Wind-Up Rabbit with T.G. Wonder Magician, and Pascariello used the Rabbit’s effect to dodge the attack. T.G. Wonder Magician and T.G. Warwolf attacked directly instead, dropping Pascariello down to 4900 Life Points. Henderson Set 3 cards to his back row before ending his turn, and Pascariello flipped Royal Decree in his End Phase.

Pascariello drew Wind-Up Rat next turn, his third of the Duel as it turned out. He Normal Summoned a Rat and combined it with his Rabbit to Xyz Summon Wind-Up Zenmaines in Defense Position. Pascariello Set Smashing Ground before ending his turn.

Henderson passed without making a play.

Pascariello drew Wind-Up Shark next turn. He Set a Rat and passed.

Henderson attacked and destroyed Pascariello’s face-down Wind-Up Rat with T.G. Wonder Magician and then activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Pascariello’s Royal Decree.

Pascariello drew Mystical Space Typhoon next turn. He Set it and passed.

Henderson Tuned T.G. Wonder Magician with T.G. Warwolf to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon and attacked Zenmaines with it. Pascariello detached an Xyz Material to keep Wind-Up Zenmaines on the field. Henderson Set a back row and then Zenmaines tried to destroy one of Henderson’s back rows in the End Phase. Henderson negated Wind-Up Zenmaines with Stardust Dragon’s effect, and Pascariello used Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Henderson’s Skill Drain while the Stardust was in the Graveyard. Henderson Special Summoned Stardust Dragon back to the field before Pascariello’s turn began.

Pascariello drew Dark Hole. He Normal Summoned Wind-Up Rat and used its effect to Special Summon another Rat from his Graveyard. Then he combined his 2 Rats to try to Summon Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity, but Henderson negated its Summon with Solemn Warning. Pascariello Set Dark Hole before ending his turn.

Henderson activated Monster Reborn to Special Summon T.G. Warwolf and then used Stardust Dragon to attack and destroy Zenmaines. Warwolf attacked directly, dropping Pascariello down to 3700 Life Points.

Pascariello drew Book of Moon next turn. He activated it to put Stardust Dragon face-down and then flipped Dark Hole to rid the field of Stardust Dragon and T.G. Warwolf. Pascariello ended his turn, and Henderson grabbed a T.G. Rush Rhino from his Deck with the effect of T.G. Warwolf in the End Phase.

Henderson Summoned T.G. Rush Rhino next turn and attacked directly with it, dropping Pascariello down to 1700 Life Points.

Pascariello drew Solemn Judgment next turn. He Summoned Wind-Up Shark, but lost his monster to Bottomless Trap Hole. Next, Pascariello used his face-down Smashing Ground to destroy Henderson’s T.G. Rush Rhino. He Set Solemn Judgment before ending his turn, and Henderson got a T.G. Warwolf from his Deck in the End Phase with the effect of his fallen Rhino.

Henderson drew Mystical Space Typhoon and activated it to destroy Pascariello face-down Solemn Judgment. Then he Summoned T.G. Warwolf and attacked directly, boosting his monster’s ATK to 2000 with Horn of the Phantom Beast to win the Duel!
