Dragon Duel Round 4 Roundup – Sunday
Welcome to Round 4 of the Dragon Duels! Take a look at what’s going on at the Top Tables!
.
At Table 1, Oliver Tomajko defeated Lucas Chau 2-0 in a Dino Rabbit Mirror Match!
In Duel 1, Tomajko started off with Laggia and made a Dolkka with a second Rescue Rabbit on Turn 2. Chau’s 3 in-hand Guaibas were no help, and he never destroyed the first Laggia.
In Duel 2, Chau Summoned Rescue Rabbit and used it to Xyz Summon Laggia. Tomajko used his own Rabbit but lost the 2 Kabazauls that it Summoned to Bottomless Trap Hole. Tomajko forced a Laggia negation and then used Rescue Rabbit to Summon 2 attacking Sabersauruses and Xyz Summon a Number 39: Utopia. Tomajko eventually used his Trap Cards to cut down on Chau’s field and win whenever Chau tried to gain the lead.
.
At Table 2, Clay Hill defeated Austin Davis 2-1 in an Inzektor Mirror Match!
In Duel 1, Hill couldn’t get a monster, and Davis won by using a Centipede equipped with Zektkaliber.
In Duel 2, Hill used Tour Guide to Summon Wind-Up Zenmaines before Setting 4 cards to his back row. Davis couldn’t get past it.
In Duel 3, Hill Set 2 cards to his back row, Davis Summoned Inzektor Dragonfly, and Hill used Chain Disappearance to banish the Inzektor Dragonfly along with all copies from Davis’s Deck. Having lost every copy of one of his key cards, Davis fought an uphill battle and was defeated.
.
At Table 3, Jesse Kotton’s Dino Rabbit Deck defeated Tristan Natividad’s Dark World Agents Deck 2-0!
In Duel 1, Kotton Summoned Laggia first turn with Rescue Rabbit and used Laggia’s effect to negate a Dark Hole. Natividad used Venus to Summon Gachi Gachi Gantetsu. When Kotton Summoned Tour Guide From the Underworld next turn and used it to make a Leviair that could Special Summon Rescue Rabbit, Kotton secured his winning position.
In Duel 2, a few back and forth plays eventually led to a win for Kotton’s Dinos.
.
At Table 4, Christian Archbond’s Blackwing Deck defeated Galdino Chavez’s Inzektor Deck 2-1!
Chavez won Duel 1, but Archbond won Duel 2 by negating the Inzektor effects with Skill Drain. By the time Chavez drew Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Skill Drain, Archbond had drawn another copy. Some help from Sirocco won Archbond the second Duel. In Duel 3, Archbond once again used Skill Drain to limit Chavez’s plays triumph, allowing Archbond to take the Match win!
