Round 4 Feature Match: Chris Boroweic vs. Andres Ochoa
Both of these Duelists were undefeated heading into round 4, and both were playing totally cool Decks! Chris Boroweic is running a Ninja strategy, centered around Special Summoning Mist Valley Apex Avian with Ninjitsu Art of Transformation. With Apex Avian on the field, Boroweic can make countless negations by returning Mist Valley cards to his hand – even Divine Wind of Mist Valley. Andres Ochoa is running an Elemental HERO deck that uses Elemental HERO Stratos, Elemental HERO Neos Alius, and Elemental HERO Bubbleman to Xyz Summon Blade Armor Ninja.

Duel One
Ochoa opened up the Match with Elemental HERO Neos Alius, and Set two cards.
Boroweic had a hand of Mist Valley Falcon, Effect Veiler, Pot of Duality, Solemn Judgment, Mist Valley Apex Avian, and Reinforcement of the Army! He activated Reinforcement to search his Deck for Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo, and activated Duality to reveal Summoner Monk, Mist Valley Thunderbird, and another Falcon from the top of his Deck, he added Monk to his hand and shuffled the rest back. He Normal Summoned Hanzo, activated its effect, and Ochoa responded with Bottomless Trap Hole, banishing Hanzo. Boroweic added Ninjitsu Art of Transformation to his hand. He Set Solemn and Transformation.
Ochoa Summoned Elemental HERO Bubbleman, Set 2 cards to his back row, then Special Summoned another Bubbleman from his hand with its effect. He combined both copies of Bubbleman, trying to Xyz Summon Blade Armor Ninja, but Boroweic negated the Summon with Solemn Judgment. Ochoa pressed on with Monster Reborn, bringing back Bubbleman, and Xyz Summoned a second Blade Armor Ninja! When he tried to activate its effect (which would let him attack twice, ensuring his win), Boroweic negated it with Effect Veiler, leaving Ochoa to make a single direct attack.
Boroweic drew another Pot of Duality. He Summoned Summoner Monk, then discarded Duality to Special Summon Genex Blastfan in Defense Position. He activated its effect, adding Genex Ally Birdman to his hand. He returned Monk to his hand to Special Summon Birdman, then Synchro Summoned Arcanite Magician, adding 2 Counters to it! He used its effect to destroy Blade Armor Ninja, then Starlight Road! He ended with Magician in Defense Position.
Ochoa destroyed Arcanite Magician with Dark Hole and ended, with one last card Set and nothing in hand.
Boroweic drew Effect Veiler, and Normal Summoned Mist Valley Falcon to attack for 2000 Battle Damage. He bounced and re-set Transformation for Falcon’s effect.
Ochoa activated Pot of Duality, revealing another Duality, Solemn Judgment, and Gemini Spark; he took Duality, visibly disappointed that he didn’t immediately improve his situation. He passed with his one Set card still in his back row.
Boroweic drew Dark Hole, and Set Summoner Monk, attacking with Falcon. Once again, he bounced and re-Set Transformation.
Ochoa drew, and then activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Transformation. He Summoned Elemental HERO Stratos, but lost its effect to Veiler, and his Pot of Duality revealed double Miracle Fusion and Compulsory Evacuation Device! He took Miracle Fusion, and attacked with Stratos to destroy Summoner Monk.
Boroweic drew Mist Valley Thunderbird. He Summoned it, attacked with Falcon to bounce the Thunderbird and destroy Stratos, then Special Summoned it back in Defense Position.
Ochoa activated Miracle Fusion, banishing Stratos and Bubbleman to Summon Elemental HERO Great Tornado, sealing the Duel with one last attack on Mist Valley Falcon!
Chris Boroweic fights back from a shaky early game with a strategic Arcanite Magician, but just can’t get the job done in time! Andres Ochoa uses Great Tornado to win, and is now one win away from a 4-0 record!

Duel Two
Boroweic started the second Duel with 2 Pot of Duality, Mist Valley Thunderbird, Anti-Spell Fragrance, Solemn Judgment, and Smashing Ground. Duality revealed Divine Wind of Mist Valley, another Fragrance, and Mist Valley Falcon, he took Falcon. He Summoned it, and Set Judgment and Fragrance.
Ochoa drew for his turn, and Boroweic flipped Anti-Spell Fragrance, Ochoa Chained Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Fragrance on the Chain, then activated E – Emergency Call to get Elemental HERO Stratos from his Deck. He Summoned Stratos, and used its effect to get Elemental HERO Neos Alius. He Set 2 cards to his back row.
Boroweic drew Fiendish Chain, and his second Duality got him a choice of another Falcon, Mist Valley Apex Avian, or Ninjitsu Art of Transformation. “That’s mucho-lame,” he remarked, taking another Falcon. He Set a Spell or Trap, returned it to his hand to attack with Falcon, and Ochoa turned Falcon face-down with Book of Moon. Boroweic Set another Spell or Trap, then Summoned his second Falcon.
Ochoa Summoned Neos Alius, attacking the Set Falcon to destroy it. In Main Phase 2 he activated Pot of Duality, revealing Bottomless Trap Hole, Gemini Spark, and E – Emergency Call from the top of his Deck, choosing to add Bottomless to his hand. He Set 2 cards to his back row.
Boroweic drew another Anti-Spell Fragrance. He Summoned Mist Valley Thunderbird, and attacked Stratos to bounce the Thunderbird, Ochoa Tributed Neos Alius for Gemini Spark, targeting Falcon to destroy it, Ochoa drew a card. Mist Valley Thunderbird was Special Summoned back to the field.
Ochoa drew, and Boroweic flipped Anti-Spell Fragrance again. Ochoa attacked it with Stratos, and Boroweic defended it with Fiendish Chain. In Main Phase 2, Ochoa Set another Spell / Trap and Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh.
Boroweic drew Monster Reborn. He Set it to his back row, as well as his Smashing Ground.
Ochoa attacked to destroy Thunderbird with Thunder King.
Boroweic flipped Smashing Ground to destroy Thunder King, then Special Summoned it with Monster Reborn, forcing Ochoa to banish it with Bottomless Trap Hole. He then Reinforcement of the Army.
Ochoa tried to activate Pot of Duality, forgetting he was under Fragrance, he Set it.
Boroweic drew The Masked Ninja Ebisu, and flipped Reinforcement of the Army to get Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo. Ochoa only had one card in hand, but when Boroweic Summoned Hanzo, Ochoa stopped its effect with Effect Veiler!
Ochoa flipped his Pot of Duality, revealing Reinforcement of the Army, Miracle Fusion, and Fiendish Chain. He took Miracle Fusion, then Set his remaining two cards to his back row.
Boroweic drew Dark Hole and tried to Summon Ebisu, Ochoa tried to negate the Summon with Solemn Judgment, but Ochoa used his own Solemn Judgment to stop it! When Boroweic tried to use Ebisu’s effect, Ochoa blasted it with Hero Blast, returning Neos Alius to his hand.
It was all over a turn later, as Ochoa blew apart the field with Heavy Storm, Normal Summoned Neos Alius, and banished Stratos and Effect Veiler for Miracle Fusion, unleashing Elemental HERO The Shining.
Boroweic had Dark Hole to clear the field, but Ochoa got back his Stratos with The Shining’s effect, and an attack from a Neos Alius next turn ended the Match!
