.
Duel One

Bogli drew his own Gorz, and Summoned Neo-Spacian Grand Mole to attack and bounce Gorz. Both monsters were returned to their controllers’ hands, but when Gruchacz had another Kabazauls next turn, it was all over!
Neither Duelists manages to see a Rescue Rabbit, but John Gruchacz gets the longest end of a collectively short stick, and manages to hammer away with two copies of Kabazauls to secure the first win! Play moved to the second Duel.
Duel Two
This time around Bogli had Pot of Avarice, Sabersaurus, Spirit Reaper, Sangan, Mind Control, and Monster Reborn. He Set Reaper.
Gruchacz took it with Mind Control, then Summoned Tour Guide from the Underworld! He Special Summoned another copy, then Flip Summoned Spirit Reaper, using it with Tour Guide to Xyz Summon Number 17: Leviathan Dragon. Leviathan Dragon and Tour Guide attacked, for a combined total of 3500 Battle Damage.
Bogli drew Mystical Space Typhoon and considered his possible choices carefully; he wound up choosing to take control of Tour Guide with Mind Control, then Normal Summoned Sangan to Xyz Summon his own Number 17: Leviathan Dragon. He boosted it to 2500 ATK, then crashed it into his opponent’s Leviathan to destroy both. In Main Phase 2, he Special Summoned Reaper in Defense Position with Reborn, and Set Typhoon.

Bogli Special Summoned another Tour Guide from his Deck, and with two monsters in his Graveyard, used the Tour Guides for Wind-Up Zenmaines. Gruchacz negated the Summon, getting Bogli’s Graveyard to five monsters and giving him what he needed to activate Pot of Avarice! Bogli shuffled all his monsters back, then drew Dark Hole and Fiendish Chain. He Set Chain.
Gruchacz Set a monster.
Bogli drew Snowman Eater and Set it.
Gruchacz Summoned Kabazauls, then Flip Summoned the Kabazauls he’d Set last turn! He used them to Xyz Summon a second Laggia; Bogli had 4500 Life Points left. Gruchacz activated Pot of Avarice, shuffling back his four Normal Monsters and a Laggia back into his deck to draw two. He attacked again with Neo-Spacian Grand Mole; Bogli flipped Fiendish Chain, but Gruchacz Chained Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy it. He Set Chain Disappearance, and Bogli destroyed it with Mystical Space Typhoon in the End Phase.
Bogli destroyed Grand Mole with Smashing Ground and ended.
Gruchacz Summoned Tour Guide, activated her effect, and when Bogli pitched Maxx “C”, Gruchacz found he’d mistakenly left his Sangan in the Graveyard when he’d played Pot of Avarice. He had nothing to Special Summon with Tour Guide! If Gruchacz hadn’t been fatigued from the long day of competition, he could’ve used Avarice on the previous turn to reload at least one Level 3 Fiend for Tour Guide, but exhaustion was clearly taking its toll on both competitors. Gruchacz was issued a warning, and play progressed; Tour Guide attacked.
Bogli drew Gorz and Set a monster.
Gruchacz turned Tour Guide to Defense Position.
Bogli drew and Set Heavy Storm.
Gruchacz passed, with nothing on the field but Tour Guide.

Bogli ran over the Token with Sabersaurus, then stacked his Dinosaurs to Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia in Defense Position. Gruchacz activated Heavy Storm! He activated Smashing Ground, and Bogli offered a handshake!
John Gruchacz moves on undefeated, with a 6-0 record!
