Alexander Reed is the last Dragon Lightsworn Duelist in the tournament, and Justin Duren is the last Gemini HERO Duelist. For one of these Duelists and one of these Decks, the journey is over. But the other Duelist will advance to the Finals and compete against Dino-Rabbit for a YCS victory!

Duren opened up with Miracle Fusion, Honest, Starlight Road, Torrential Tribute, Elemental HERO Neos Alius, and Solemn Warning. He Summoned Elemental HERO Neos Alius and Set 3 cards to his back row.

Reed opened up with Charge of the Light Brigade, Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, Lightpulsar Dragon, Plaguespreader Zombie, Eclipse Wyvern, and Monster Reborn. He activated Charge of the Light Brigade by sending Ehren, Lightsworn Monk, Jain, Lightsworn Paladin, and Effect Veiler from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard and searched his Deck for a copy of Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter to add to his hand. He Set Plaguespreader Zombie and then ended his turn.

Duren activated Gemini Spark. He Tributed Neos Alius to destroy Reed’s face-down Plaguespreader Zombie and draw a card. Duren Set a card to his back row before ending his turn.

Reed drew Sangan next turn. He Summoned it and attacked directly, but Duren banished it with Dimensional Prison.

Duren activated E – Emergency Call next turn! He searched his Deck for Elemental HERO Stratos and added it to his hand. Next, he Summoned Stratos and used its effect to move Elemental HERO Neos Alius from his Deck to his hand. Stratos attacked directly, and play passed to Reed.

Reed drew Solar Recharge next turn. He activated it by discarding Lumina. He drew Heavy Storm and Mystic Tomato, and sent Solar Recharge and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard with its effect. Next, he banished Effect Veiler and Plaguespreader Zombie from his Graveyard to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon. Duren negated its Summon with Solemn Warning and then Reed activated Heavy Storm; but Duren flipped Starlight Road to negate the Heavy Storm and Special Summon Stardust Dragon! Next, Reed discarded Eclipse Wyvern and Mystic Tomato to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon from his Graveyard. Wyvern’s effect allowed Duren to banish Judgment Dragon from his Deck. Next, Reed attacked Stardust Dragon with Lightpulsar Dragon, and Lightpulsar Dragon’s effect allowed Reed to Special Summon Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from his Graveyard. Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon attacked and destroyed Stratos, and in Main Phase 2, Reed used his Metal Dragon’s effect to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon. Duren flipped Torrential Tribute to clear the field, but Reed returned Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to the field with Lightpulsar Dragon’s effect, and used the his Red-Eyes’s effect to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon right back to the field, putting him in the exact same position he was in before the Torrential Tribute.

Duren activated Miracle Fusion next turn. He banished Elemental HERO Stratos and Elemental HERO Neos Alius from his Graveyard to Special Summon Elemental HERO The Shining with 3200 ATK, and then attacked Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to destroy it. Duren Set a card to his back row in Main Phase 2 and then ended his turn.

Reed drew Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and Set it.

Duren activated Skill Drain and then Summoned Elemental HERO Neos Alius. Elemental HERO The Shining attacked and destroyed Lightpulsar Dragon, allowing Reed to Special Summon Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from his Graveyard. Then Elemental HERO Neos Alius attacked and destroyed Ryko, while Skill Drain negated Ryko’s effect.

Reed activated Monster Reborn next turn to revive Lightpulsar Dragon. He attacked Elemental HERO Neos Alius with Lightpulsar Dragon to destroy it, and then attacked Elemental HERO The Shining with Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. Duren discarded Honest to win the battle and destroy Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon.

Duren Set a card to his back row and passed.

Reed attacked The Shining with Lightpulsar Dragon, and when Lightpulsar Dragon was destroyed, he Special Summoned Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from his Graveyard. Red-Eyes attacked and destroyed The Shining, and Duren added Stratos and Neos Alius from his banished zone to his hand. In Main Phase 2, Reed discarded Ryko and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from his hand to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon from his Graveyard.

Duren Set a monster and passed.

Reed drew Lightpulsar Dragon next turn. He banished Eclipse Wyvern and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from his Graveyard to Special Summon the Lightpulsar Dragon he had just drawn, and used the Wyvern’s effect to add his banished Judgment Dragon to his hand. Lightpulsar Dragon attacked and destroyed Duren’s face-down Elemental HERO Neos Alius, and then direct attacks from Elemental HERO Neos Alius and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon wiped out Duren’s last 3200 Life Points.

Reed opened up with Dark Hole, Allure of Darkness, Heavy Storm, Chaos Sorcerer, Ehren, Lightsworn Monk, and Solar Recharge. He activated Recharge by discarding Ehren, and drew Mystical Space Typhoon and Eclipse Wyvern. He sent Royal Decree and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard with its effect. Next, he activated Heavy Storm to destroy Duren’s face-down Dimensional Prison and Solemn Warning. He used Allure of Darkness next, allowing him to draw Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and Tragoedia from the top of his Deck. He banished Tragoedia to complete Allure’s effect, and Set Ryko before ending his turn.

Duren Normal Summoned Elemental HERO Neos Alius and then attacked Reed’s face-down Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter with Thunder King Rai-Oh. Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter destroyed Thunder King, and Alius attacked directly. Ryko sent Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning, Mystic Tomato, and Charge of the Light Brigade from the top of Reed’s Deck to his Graveyard. Duren Set 2 cards to his back row before ending his turn.

Reed drew Lightpulsar Dragon next turn. He activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Duren’s face-down Torrential Tribute and then banished Mystic Tomato and Ryko from his Graveyard to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon. Lightpulsar Dragon attacked and destroyed Neos Alius.

Duren activated Miracle Fusion next turn! He banished Thunder King Rai-Oh and Elemental HERO Neos Alius to Summon Elemental HERO The Shining and then attacked Lightpulsar Dragon with The Shining.

Reed banished Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon and Ehren from his Graveyard to Summon Chaos Sorcerer and used its effect to banish The Shining. He Set Ryko before ending his turn.

Duren Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh and attacked Chaos Sorcerer with it. He discarded Honest to win the battle and defeat Chaos Sorcerer.

Reed drew Future Fusion next turn! He activated it to send Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Darkflare Dragon, Eclipse Wyvern, and 2 copies of Lightpulsar Dragon from his Deck to his Graveyard. He used his Wyvern’s effect to banish Dark Armed Dragon from his Deck.

Duren attacked Ryko with Rai-Oh, and Ryko destroyed Rai-Oh before sending Plaguespreader Zombie, Lyla, and Ryko from the top of Reed’s Deck to his Graveyard.

Reed drew Lyla and Summoned it. He used its effect to destroy Duren’s face-down Bottomless Trap Hole and then put a card on top of his Deck to Special Summon Plaguespreader Zombie. He Tuned Lyla with Plaguespreader Zombie to Summon Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and then attacked directly with Brionac to drop Duren down to 5100 Life Points.

Duren Set a back row and passed.

Reed Special Summoned Five-Headed Dragon thanks to his Future Fusion. He discarded a card to target the Compulsory Evacuation Device Duren had just Set with Brionac’s effect, and Duren Chained it to bounce Five-Headed Dragon back to Reed’s Extra Deck. Brionac attacked directly, dropping Duren down to 2800 Life Points.

Duren drew a card and Set it to his back row.

Reed discarded a card to bounce the newly Set card with Brionac’s effect, but Duren Chained it. It was a Mystical Space Typhoon, and Duren used it to destroy Reed’s face-down Skill Drain. Next, Reed attacked directly with Brionac, dropping Duren down to 500 Life Points.

Duren Set another card on his next turn, and it was all over on the following turn.

Reed used Brionac’s effect to return Duren’s newly Set Mirror Force to his hand! With it out of the way, Brionac was able to attack directly and finish the Duel!
