What are people saying about Battle Pack: Epic Dawn? part 2
We’re here with thirteen-year-old Vinny Silverman, from New Haven, CT! He’s just come back from his Battle Pack: Epic Dawn Public Event, and he’s ready to give his thoughts on the pack and on sealed play.
He thought the Battle Pack was a really good idea, because it made hard-to-get cards easier to find, and easy-to-get cards now come in a new rarity. He thought sealed play was good because it’s an affordable way for some players to play. You don’t need to build a Deck ahead of time when you go to a Sealed tournament because you get new cards to build a Deck at the tournament!
Vinny’s favorite cards from his packs were Forbidden Lance, Solemn Judgment, and Gem-Knight Pearl.
When asked what kind of strategy he focused on in sealed play, he said he avoids any combo decks. He won’t go for any specific combos unless there’s an overlying theme to a large number of his cards. He tries to focus on beatdown and slowly pressing his advantage on his opponent. He prefers cards that are good at nearly any time, like Solemn Judgment, Tragoedia, and Breaker the Magical Warrior.
