Duel 1

Winston started off with a Set monster.

Tabman opened with Wind-Up Shark, Wind-Up Magician, Wind-Up Factory, 2 Solemn Warnings, and Mystical Space Typhoon. He played Factory, summoned Magician, and activated Shark from his hand. Factory gave him another Shark in his hand, and Magician gave him another Magician. Shark turned itself to Level 3, triggering the second Magician to summon Wind-Up Hunter. He combined Hunter with Shark for Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity! Zenmaity detached Hunter, and Winston used Effect Veiler to negate it! Tabman continued, using his Magicians to summon Steelswarm Roach! He Set both Solemn Warnings.

Winston cleared the field with Dark Hole! He destroyed his own Sangan, and added Effect Veiler to his hand. He Set a monster.

Tabman drew a second Mystical Space Typhoon. He Set one. Then, he summoned Wind-Up Shark and turned it to Level 3, triggering Factory and giving him Wind-Up Rat in his hand. Shark attacked into Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter! Ryko destroyed Factory, then sent Mystical Space Typhoon, Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning, and Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress to the Graveyard.

Winston summoned Eclipse Wyvern. Tabman allowed that, but when Winston used Monster Reborn targeting Lyla, Tabman countered with Solemn Warning! Eclipse took down Wind-Up Shark in battle.

Tabman drew Mind Control! He summoned Wind-Up Rat, and Winston negated its effect with Effect Veiler. Tabman Set his Mystical Space Typhoon.

Winston banished Lyla and Sangan from his Graveyard to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon, and Tabman used his other Solemn Warning to negate the summon! Winston followed that with Tour Guide From the Underworld! It brought another Tour Guide to the field from his Deck, then he used them for Leviair the Sea Dragon! That returned Lyla to play. Lyla destroyed one of Tabman’s Typhoons, then Winston used Lyla and Eclipse for Queen Dragun Djinn! Queen Dragun detached Eclipse to revive Lightpulsar Dragon, and Eclipse banished Dark Armed Dragon from Winston’s Deck. Leviair destroyed Rat in battle, and Queen Dragun attacked directly! After the attacks and 4000 Life Points paid for Solemn Warnings, Tabman only had 1500 left.

Tabman drew Tour Guide From the Underworld! He summoned it to bring Sangan to the party, then Xyz Summoned Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity! He detached Sangan for its effect, bringing out a Wind-Up Rat. That revived another Rat, then he used both Rats to Xyz Summon a second Zenmaity. That detached Rat to summon another Rat from the Deck, and that revived Rat from the Graveyard. Once again the Rats were combined, this time for Temtempo the Percussion Djinn! Temtempo detached a Rat to take away a material from Leviair, boosting its own ATK. Then Temtempo destroyed Leviair in battle!

On Winston’s Draw Phase, he used Temtempo to steal Queen Dragun’s last material too, boosted to a total of 2700! Winston used Heavy Storm on Tabman’s Mystical Space Typhoon and ended.

Tabman drew Tour Guide From the Underworld! It brought out another Guide and Tabman Xyz Summoned Number 17: Leviathan Dragon! It detached a Guide to boost its ATK. Temtempo attacked Lightpulsar, but in the heat of the moment Tabman forgot about Queen Dragun’s protection! Leviathan attacked Queen Dragun, though, leaving Winston with nothing but Lightpulsar.

Winston Set a back row. He still had 7100 Life Points to Tabman’s 1500.

Tabman drew Bottomless Trap Hole. He attacked with Temtempo, but Forbidden Lance weakend it, letting Lightpulsar win the battle! He boosted his Leviathan to 3000 ATK and Set Bottomless.

Winston summoned Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, and Tabman banished it with Bottomless Trap Hole. He turned Lightpulsar to defense position.

Tabman drew Wind-Up Shark. Leviathan took out Lightpulsar, with nothing in the Graveyard for Winston to revive!

Winston drew his last card and conceded! He had no way to get through the 3000 ATK Leviathan Dragon.

Winston Set another back row and a monster.

Tabman drew Dimensional Fissure. He Set Book and Sangan.

Winston flipped Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter to destroy Sangan! Ryko sent Chaos Sorcerer, D.D. Crow, and Sangan to the Graveyard. Tabman’s Sangan gave him Wind-Up Shark. Winston summoned Tour Guide next, and it summoned another Guide. He attacked directly with his 2 Guides and Ryko, then in Main Phase 2 he Xyz Summoned Temtempo the Percussion Djinn!

Tabman drew Mind Control. He activated Dimensional Fissure and Winston destroyed it with Mystical Space Typhoon. Tabman paid him back with Dark Hole, then summoned Tour Guide – but Winston had Forbidden Chalice! Tour Guide attacked directly for 1400 damage.

Winston banished D.D. Crow and Ryko to summon Darkflare Dragon from his hand, then Normal Summoned Eclipse Wyvern. Eclipse destroyed Tour Guide in battle, and Darkflare attacked directly. In Main Phase 2, Darkflare sent Dark Armed Dragon from Winston’s hand and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from his Deck in order to banish Tabman’s Sangan. Winston had 6600, while Tabman had 2800.

Tabman drew Torrential Tribute. He Normal Summoned Wind-Up Shark and stole Eclipse with Mind Control! He Xyz Summoned Number 39: Utopia and took down Darkflare!

Winston Set a back row.

Tabman drew his second Torrential Tribute! He Set one of them and Utopia hit directly.

Winston passed.

Tabman drew Dimensional Prison. Utopia attacked directly again, putting Winston to 1500.

Winston summoned Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, and offered the handshake when Tabman flipped Solemn Warning!

Tyler Tabman is bringing Wind-Ups to the finals!
