Round 4 Round-Up!
Here are more undefeated Duelists from the top tables!
At Table 1, Cameron Cuellar (HERO) defeated Jacob Kingsbury (Wind-Up)
In Duel 1 Cameron had four back row cards, defending against Jacob’s 3 Wind-Up Magicians. Jacob stalled behind Wind-Up Zenmaines and Maestroke the Symphony Djinn until Cameron drew into Miracle Fusion, summoning Elemental HERO Great Tornado! Jacob had known he’d survive if Cameron summoned Elemental HERO The Shining, but had forgotten all about Great Tornado! It halved Maestroke’s ATK and attacked it, finishing the Duel.
In Duel 2, Jacob’s Magician was hit by Dimensional Prison. After that, Cameron had a perfect hand to take him down, with Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo, with a ton of ways to protect it such as Solemn Warning, as well as Elemental HERO Neos Alius and Gemini Spark, drawing into Elemental HERO Stratos. Jacob was never given a chance to pull off his Wind-Up combos.
At Table 2, Dallas Falmier (Skill Drain HERO) defeated Andrew Salazar (Geargia Gadget)
In Duel 1, Andrew had Geargiaccelerator, Geargiarmor, and Green Gadget, with only 100 Life Points. Skill Drain was locking him down, so he Xyz Summoned Number 39: Utopia only for Dallas to draw Miracle Fusion at the last moment! Dallas Fusion Summoned Elemental HERO The Shining, attacking Utopia with Skill Drain in play to deal the last 100 damage he needed.
Both Duelists started Duel 2 with four back row cards. Andrew flipped his Geargiarmor, and Dallas activated Skill Drain, Andrew used Dust Tornado on the Chain, but Dallas had Solemn Judgment! Andrew Set two more back row, but Dallas had Heavy Storm to clear away seven total cards! Dallas followed that up with Blade Armor Ninja and finished the Duel with it.
Table 3 Robbie Kohl (Machina Gadget w/ Grandsoil) defeats Ambrose “AJ” Jones (HERO)
AJ was able to keep gaining momentum in Duel 1. He was able to force out a Bottomless Trap Hole by summoning Heroic Champion – Excalibur, then followed up with Miracle Fusion to finish the Duel.
Robbie started Duel 2 with a Set monster. AJ summoned his Elemental HERO Stratos, but it ran into its worst enemy: Snowman Eater! It gobbled up Stratos. AJ had a ton of disruptive cards, including Dimensional Fissure and Skill Drain. Unfortunately he had nothing to put together with them! He had been brought down to 1400 Life Points, and activated Prohibition declaring Green Gadget, but wasn’t able to mount a defense.
Duel 3 ended with a bang! AJ had The Shining was at 3200 ATK, and Robbie was getting low on Life Points. Robbie crashed Thunder King Rai-Oh into The Shining to summon Tragoedia, then pitched Machina Cannon to steal The Shining! AJ survived a few turns thanks to Tasuke Knight, but was unable to make a comeback.
At Table 4, Devin Brown (Wind-Ups) defeated Imran Khan (HERO)
Devin began with a few back row cards and a Wind-Up Rabbit. Imran responded with Elemental HERO Stratos to search out Elemental HERO Bubbleman, then Set his whole hand so he could Special Summon Bubbleman. He Xyz Summoned Blade Armor Ninja but swung into Dimensional Prison! He used Miracle Fusion in Main Phase 2 to summon Elemental HERO Absolute Zero. Next turn Zero swung into Devin’s Snowman Eater, then Devin summoned Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity and began building his field. Devin had Bottomless Trap Hole to counter The Shining and secure his position.
Duel 2 was much slower, with Imran able to eventually take a win with his HEROes.
In Duel 3, Devin started with Wind-Up Factory and Tour Guide From the Underworld. He summoned Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity, then used Factory to get him Wind-Up Shark and Zenmaity to get Wind-Up Rabbit. Imran tried to summon Neo-Spacian Grand Mole, losing it to Solemn Warning, but had Pot of Duality to grab a Dark Hole. He didn’t activate it just yet, though. When Devin’s Rabbit started to return, Imran played Skill Drain. Devin pressed on by using his now useless Wind-Ups to Xyz Summon Number 30: Acid Golem! Imran blew away the field with Dark Hole next turn, but Devin was able to get rid of Skill Drain and finish with the win.
