I, Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, am back! After months of plotting, I have at last exerted my influence over the Forbidden & Limited List, in preparation for this exact moment! Enemies of the Dark World have been crushed, while I, Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World stand strong with my entire Dark World army! And now, Michael Pramawat, is paving the way for another victory for the Dark World. He defeated 7 out of his 8 opponents yesterday, and will not allow another win to slip by him! The battle against James Kenzie is about to begin!

Duel One

Pramawat began the first battle with 2 Compulsory Evacuation Device; Deck Devastation Virus; Broww, Huntsman of Dark World; Upstart Goblin; and Sillva, Warlord of Dark World. He generously used Upstart Goblin to give Kenzie 1000 Life Points and draw Reckless Greed. Pramawat Set Compulsory Evacuation Device and Reckless Greed before ending his turn.

Kenzie Summoned Lyla and attacked with it, dropping Pramawat down to 6300 Life Points. He used Lyla’s effect in Main Phase 2 to target Pramawat’s face-down Compulsory Evacuation Device, and Pramawat Chained it to return Lyla to Kenzie’s hand. Kenzie Set 2 cards to his back row to fortify his defenses before passing.

Pramawat drew another Broww next turn. He carelessly activated Reckless Greed to draw Eradicator Epidemic Virus and Monster Reborn from his Deck and then Set one of my Dark World minions – Broww!

Kenzie Set a monster and passed, waiting for Pramawat to pounce with my Dark World army!

Pramawat skipped his Draw Phase and only Set Compulsory Evacuation Device.

Kenzie Flip Summoned Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter and used its effect to destroy Pramawat’s face-down Broww before sending Lyla, Tour Guide From the Underworld, and Ryko from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard. Next, he Summoned Lyla and attacked directly with Ryko and Lyla. Pramawat dropped down to 4400 Life Points and then Kenzie used Lyla’s effect in Main Phase 2 to try to destroy Pramawat face-down Compulsory Evacuation Device. Pramawat Chained it to return that cowardly Lyla to Kenzie’s hand once again!

Pramawat activated Monster Reborn to Special Summon Lyla from Kenzie’s Graveyard and then attacked Ryko to destroy it and deal 1500 points of damage to Kenzie. At last, a strike in favor of the Dark World army – but with a wholly unworthy LIGHT monster! In Main Phase 2, Pramawat activated Lyla’s effect to destroy Kenzie’s face-down Forbidden Lance. He Set Deck Devastation Virus and Eradicator Epidemic Virus before sending Dark World Dealings, Upstart Goblin, and ME, Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard with Lyla’s effect.

Kenzie activated his face-down Dark Hole to destroy Lyla and then used Heavy Storm to destroy Pramawat’s face-down Deck Devastation Virus and Eradicator Epidemic Virus. Next, he banished Tour Guide From the Underworld and Lyla from his Graveyard to Special Summon Darkflare Dragon. He used its effect to discard Lightpulsar Dragon, send Eclipse Wyvern from his Deck to his Graveyard, and banish ME, Grapha, from Pramawat’s Graveyard! Then he sent Dark Armed Dragon and Lyla from his hand to his Graveyard to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon back from the Graveyard. Direct attacks from Lightpulsar Dragon and Darkflare Dragon wiped out Pramawat’s last 4400 Life Points!

Michael Pramawat defects to the LIGHT by using Monster Reborn on a Lightsworn monster, and shames the Dark World Army in Duel 1! But Pramawat will have a chance to redeem himself in Duel 2, for he will be going first!

Duel Two

Pramawat started off Duel 2 with Heavy Storm, Dark Hole, Gozen Match, Card Destruction, Compulsory Evacuation Device, and Dragged Down into the Grave. Alas, there was not a single Dark World in sight, for they would show no loyalty to the Duelist who revived a monster of LIGHT!

Kenzie activated Solar Recharge by discarding Ryko. He drew 2 cards and sent Royal Decree and Night Assailant from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard with Solar Recharge’s effect. He Summoned Lyla next, and used its effect to destroy Pramawat’s face-down Heavy Storm. He Set a card to his back row and sent Thunder King Rai-Oh, Mystical Space Typhoon, and Tragoedia from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard in his End Phase with Lyla’s effect.

Pramawat drew another copy of Dragged Down into the Grave next turn. Still, no Dark World monsters were willing to assist Pramawat! He Set Dragged Down into the Grave and Gozen Match before activating Card Destruction – a pathetic use for such a powerful card! He discarded Dark Hole and Dragged Down into the Grave to draw Sillva, Warlord of Dark World and The Gates of Dark World. Kenzie discarded his hand and drew 4 new cards. Pramawat activated Gates and flipped his face-down Dragged Down into the Grave. Kenzie revealed Card Trooper, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, and Forbidden Lance from his hand. Pramawat sent Kenzie’s Dark Armed Dragon to the Graveyard, and Kenzie sent Pramawat’s Sillva to the Graveyard. Sillva was Special Summoned, and then both Duelists drew a card due to the effects of Dragged Down into the Grave. Sillva was Summoned to the field. At last, Pramawat managed to muster a monster worthy of the Dark World’s power! Pramawat had drawn Mystical Space Typhoon off of Dragged Down into the Grave and used it to target Kenzie’s Mystical Space Typhoon. Kenzie Chained it, destroying Pramawat’s The Gates of Dark World. He attacked Lyla with Sillva to destroy it. It was a pleasure to once again watch as DARK triumphed over LIGHT!

Kenzie activated Heavy Storm to destroy both of Pramawat’s back rows and then Summoned Card Trooper. He used its effect to boost it to 1900 ATK and then attacked Sillva. He activated Forbidden Lance in the damage step to win the battle and destroy Sillva. He Set a card to his back row before passing.

Pramawat drew Compulsory Evacuation Device and Set it, hoping that it would keep him in the Duel long enough for ME, Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, to enter the fray and turn the tides of the Duel!

Kenzie activated his Trooper’s effect by sending Eclipse Wyvern, Chaos Sorcerer, and Lyla from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard. There were no monsters left in his Deck to banish with Eclipse Wyvern. He attacked directly with his 1900 ATK Card Trooper and passed.

Pramawat drew The Gates of Dark World and ended his turn.

Kenzie activated the effect of his Card Trooper again, this time by sending Spirit Reaper, Doomcaliber Knight, and Thunder King Rai-Oh from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard. He banished Thunder King Rai-Oh and Sangan from his Graveyard next, in order to Special Summon Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning!

Card Trooper attacked directly to drop Kenzie down to 3800 Life Points, and then Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning attempted to attack; but Kenzie flipped Compulsory Evacuation Device to return it to Kenzie’s hand. Kenzie banished Doomcaliber Knight and Lyla from his Graveyard to Summon Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning a second time, and then Tributed Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning and Card Trooper to Summon Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. He activated its effect to Special Summon Lightpulsar Dragon from his Graveyard and then ended his turn.

Pramawat drew Foolish Burial next turn and conceded!

Pramawat betrays the darkness and my Dark World army faces a minor setback as James Kenzie advances with an 8-1 record. But all hope is not lost, for I will stand by Pramawat in the next round, and lead him to the last victory he needs to secure a spot in the Top 32!
