Duel 1

LeBlanc Set a back row card to begin.

Singh had Gladiator Proving Ground, Gladiator Beast Equeste, Gladiator Beast Laquari, Gladiator Beast Retiari, Bottomless Trap Hole, and Pot of Duality. He summoned Retiari and attacked into Fiendish Chain. In Main Phase 2, he played Duality to get Solemn Warning from his Deck, shuffling back 2 copies of Mystical Space Typhoon. He Set Warning and Bottomless Trap Hole.

LeBlanc summoned Geargiaccelerator. It destroyed Retiari in battle, and LeBlanc Set 2 back row.

Singh drew Starlight Road. He played Equeste, but its attack was blocked by Book of Moon. He Set Road and lost it to Mystical Space Typhoon.

LeBlanc destroyed Equeste in battle and Set a monster.

Singh drew Warning. He Summoned Laquari and LeBlanc played his own Warning.

LeBlanc flipped up his Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 “Nishipachi”. He attacked directly with it and Geargiaccelerator. In Main Phase 2 he Synchro Summoned Black Rose Dragon, and Singh negated its summon with Warning. LeBlanc Set a monster.

Singh drew Safe Zone. He played Proving Ground to get a copy of Laquari and Summoned it. He attacked LeBlanc’s face-down Geargiarmor, taking 100 Battle Damage. Geargiarmor gave LeBlanc a copy of Geargiano Mk-II. At the end of the Battle Phase, Singh returned Laquari tagged out for Gladiator Beast Murmillo, which destroyed Geargiarmor. He Set Safe Zone and Warning to end his turn.

LeBlanc Summoned Geargiano Mk-II. It Special Summoned Geargiarmor, then it attacked Murmillo. Singh used Safe Zone to keep Murmillo around, and at the end of the Battle Phase Murmillo returned to the Deck to bring out Equeste! Equeste returned Laquari to Singh’s hand. LeBlanc flipped Geargiarmor face-down.

Singh drew Forbidden Lance. He Normal Summoned Laquari. Laquari destroyed Geargiano Mk-II, then Equeste attacked Geargiarmor. Geargiarmor gave LeBlanc a new Geargiano Mk-II. Singh returned Laquari to the Deck to Summon Gladiator Beast Darius. Darius revived the fallen Equeste, then the first Equeste returned to the Deck to bring out Laquari. In Main Phase 2, he Special Summoned Gladiator Beast Heraklinos!

LeBlanc destroyed Bottomless Trap Hole with Mystical Space Typhoon. He flipped his Geargiarmor face-down, then Flip Summoned it to get a Geargiaccelerator. He played Dark Hole next, forcing Singh to negate it with Heraklinos by discarding his only card – Forbidden Lance. LeBlanc played Geargiano Mk-II next, and it revived the previous copy from his Graveyard. He used them to Xyz Summon Wind-Up Zenmaines, and Singh negated its Summon with Solemn Warning! LeBlanc continued by using Pot of Avarice to return every monster in his Graveyard back to his Deck and draw two. He Special Summoned Geargiaccelerator and overlayed it and Geargiarmor for Gear Gigant X! Finally, he used Mind Control to get Heraklinos out of the way for a game-winning attack!

Christopher LeBlanc fights through Heraklinos to take the first Duel! Both Duelists quickly made use of their Side Decks.
