A victory for one of them will put that Duelist in a great position for Day 2. Nathaniel Jadotte is using Six Samurais, and Christopher LeBlanc is using Geargias.

Duel One

LeBlanc Set 5 cards to his back row and Summoned Thunder King Rai-Oh.

Jadotte opened up with Reinforcement of the Army, Six Samurai United, Spirit of the Six Samurai, Mystical Space Typhoon, and 2 copies of Asceticism of the Six Samurai. He Set everything except Spirit of the Six Samurai to his back row and passed, but lost Reinforcement of the Army and Six Samurai United to 2 of LeBlanc’s face-down Mystical Space Typhoons in the End Phase.

LeBlanc drew and Summoned Geargiarsenal and attacked directly with Thunder King Rai-Oh and his Geargiarsenal to drop Jadotte down to 4400 Life Points. He Tributed Geargiarsenal to Special Summon Geargiarmor from his Deck and then used its effect to put it face-down.

Jadotte drew Bottomless Trap Hole next turn and Set it.

LeBlanc Flip Summoned Geargiarmor, but couldn’t use its effect due to the effect of Thunder King Rai-Oh. He activated Monster Reborn to Special Summon Geargiarsenal, but lost it to Jadotte’s Bottomless Trap Hole. He attacked directly with Thunder King Rai-Oh and Geargiarmor to drop Jadotte down to 1400 Life Points and then put Geargiarmor face-down.

Jadotte drew Dimensional Prison and Set it along with Spirit of the Six Samurai.

LeBlanc drew Heavy Storm and activated it, Chaining Book of Moon to put his Thunder King Rai-Oh face-down. Knowing that LeBlanc would then be able to search his Deck with the effect of Geargiarmor, Jadotte conceded.

Duel Two

Nathaniel Jadotte opened up Duel 2 with The Six Samurai – Yaichi, Spirit of the Six Samurai, Reinforcement of the Army, Dimensional Prison, and 2 copies of Kagemusha of the Six Samurai. He activated Reinforcement of the Army to add Legendary Six Samurai – Kageki from his Deck to his hand and then Normal Summoned it. He activated its effect, but LeBlanc negated it with Effect Veiler. He Set Dimensional Prison before ending his turn.

LeBlanc activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Jadotte’s Dimensional Prison and then Summoned Geargiarsenal. He attacked Kageki to destroy it and drop Jadotte down to 6500 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, he Tributed Geargiarsenal to Special Summon Geargiarmor from his Deck, and used its effect to put it face-down. LeBlanc Set a card to his back row before ending his turn.

Jadotte drew Legendary Six Samurai – Kizan next turn. He Normal Summoned Spirit of the Six Samurai and then Special Summoned Kizan. He equipped Spirit of the Six Samurai to Kizan with Spirit’s effect and then tried to attack, but was stopped by Fiendish Chain.

LeBlanc Flip Summoned Geargiarmor and used its effect to add Geargiaccelerator from his Deck to his hand. Then he Special Summoned 2 Geargiaccelerators and combined them to Summon Gear Gigant X. He detached an Xyz Material from Gear Gigant X to add Karakuri Strategist mdl 248 “Nishipachi” to his hand. He put his Geargiarmor face-down with its effect and then Normal Summoned his Strategist. He used its effect to switch his Geargiarmor into Attack Position and used his Geargiarmor’s effect to add Geargiaccelerator from his Deck to his hand. Next, he Special Summoned Geargiaccelerator and Tuned it with his Strategist to Summon Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 “Burei”. He activated Burei’s effect to Special Summon Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 “Saizan” from his Deck and then Tuned his Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 “Saizan” with Geargiarmor to Synchro Summon Karakuri Steel Shogun mdl 00X “Bureido”. He Special Summoned Karakuri Watchdog mdl 313 “Saizan” from his Deck in Defense Position and then used Burei’s effect to switch it into Attack Position and draw a card thanks to Bureido’s effect. He attacked Kizan with Watchdog and then activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Spirit of the Six Samurai. Watchdog was destroyed in battle, and LeBlanc lost 1200 Life Points. Watchdog’s effect activated to give his other 2 Karakuris 800 Attack Points each. Next, Gear Gigant X attacked and destroyed Kizan, and then direct attacks from Bureido and Burei finished Jadotte off!
