Duel One
Shah opened up with Torrential Tribute, Solemn Warning, Tour Guide From the Underworld, Wind-Up Magician, Wind-Up Shark, and Effect Veiler. He Summoned Wind-Up Magician and then revealed Wind-Up Shark from his hand to Special Summon it. He Special Summoned another Magician from his Deck with the effect of Wind-Up Magician and then used his Shark’s effect to lower its Level to 3. That allowed him to activate his new Magician’s effect to Special Summon Wind-Up Rat from his Deck in Defense Position. Next, he combined both Wind-Up Magicians to Summon Photon Papilloperative and detached an Xyz Material to switch Wind-Up Rat into Attack Position. He used his Rat’s effect to Special Summon Wind-Up Magician from his Graveyard. Then he combined his Shark with his Rat to Summon Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity. He detached Wind-Up Shark from Zenmaity to activate its effect and trigger his Magician’s effect, allowing him to Special Summon 2 more copies of Wind-Up Shark from his Deck. Finally, he combined 2 Sharks and a Magician to Summon Number 16: Shock Master, and detached an Xyz Material from it to prevent the activation of Spell Cards. Shah Set Torrential Tribute and Solemn Warning before ending his turn.
Cutts Set a monster and passed.
Shah activated the effect of Zenmaity to Special Summon Wind-Up Rabbit from his Deck. He detached an Xyz Material from Shock Master to prevent Spells. Then he detached an Xyz Material from Photon Papilloperative to switch Cutts’s face-down Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter into Attack Position and reduce its ATK to 0. Ryko destroyed Shock Master with its effect and sent Effect Veiler, Ryko, and Mystical Space Typhoon from the top of Cutts’s Deck to his Graveyard. Next, he attacked directly with Photon Papilloperative, Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity, and Wind-Up Rabbit, dropping Cutts down to 3000 Life Points.
Cutts tried to Summon Card Trooper next turn, but Shah negated its Summon by giving up 2000 Life Points with Solemn Warning! Cutts instantly conceded, overwhelmed by Shah’s field.
Ankit Shah draws an amazing opening hand and uses it to take a quick win in the first Duel! Devin Cutts will be going first in Duel 2!
