Joshua Dal Porto from Jacksonville, Florida and Ben Leverett from Atlanta, Georgia are both 12-year-old Dragon Duelists who are currently undefeated in today’s Dragon Duel tournament! Joshua Dal Porto is using a Dino Rabbit Deck, and Ben Leverett is Dueling with Wind-Ups. These 2 Dragon Duelists are Dueling against one another in our final round Feature Match. Only one of these Duelists will emerge as Saturday’s Dragon Duel Champion!

Duel One

Leverett started off Duel 1 by activating Fire Formation – Tenki and adding Wind-Up Rabbit from his Deck to his hand. He Set a card to his back row before ending his turn.

Dal Porto opened up with Pot of Duality, Tour Bus From the Underworld, Rescue Rabbit, Dark Hole, and Compulsory Evacuation Device.

He drew Neo-Spacian Grand Mole in his Draw Phase. Next, he Summoned Rescue Rabbit and activated its effect by banishing it in order to Special Summon 2 copies of Kabazauls from his Deck. Next, he combined both Kabazauls to Xyz Summon Evolzar Laggia. Laggia attacked Wind-Up Rabbit, and Leverett banished the Rabbit to dodge the attack. Laggia attacked Leverett directly instead, dropping Leverett down to 5600 Life Points. Dal Porto Set Compulsory Evacuation Device before ending his turn, and Leverett activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy it in Dal Porto’s End Phase.

Leverett Summoned Tour Guide From the Underworld next turn and used its effect to Special Summon Sangan from his Deck. Next, he combined Tour Guide with Wind-Up Rabbit to try to Xyz Summon Number 17: Leviathan Dragon; but Dal Porto detached both Xyz Materials from Laggia to negate its Summon. Leverett Set a card to his back row before ending his turn.

Dal Porto drew Jurrac Guaiba and then activated Pot of Duality, revealing Dimensional Prison, Forbidden Lance, and Jurrac Guaiba from the top of his Deck. He added Dimensional Prison to his hand and shuffled the other 2 cards back into his Deck. Dal Porto Summoned Neo-Spacian Grand Mole next turn and attacked Sangan with it; but Leverett flipped Fiendish Chain to stop the attack and negate Grand Mole’s effect. Next, Laggia attacked and destroyed Sangan, allowing Leverett to add Wind-Up Shark from his Deck to his hand with Sangan’s effect. Dal Porto Set Dimensional Prison before ending his turn.

Leverett activated Heavy Storm, destroying his own Fiendish Chain and Tenki, along with Dal Porto’s Dimensional Prison. Next, he Normal Summoned Wind-Up Magician and Special Summoned Wind-Up Shark from his hand. He used his Magician’s effect to Special Summon another Magician from his Deck and then raised his Shark’s Level to 5, triggering the second Magician’s effect in order to Special Summon another Wind-Up Shark. He increased the new Shark’s Level to 5 in order to combine both Sharks and Xyz Summon Tiras, Keeper of Genesis, and then combined both copies of Wind-Up Magician in order to Xyz Summon Maestroke the Symphony Djinn in Defense Position. Next, he detached an Xyz Material from Maestroke to put Neo-Spacian Grand Mole face-down, and he attacked Laggia with Tiras to destroy it. At the end of the Battle Phase, Leverett destroyed Neo-Spacian Grand Mole with Tiras’s effect. Leverett Set a card to his back row before ending his turn and detaching an Xyz Material from Tiras.

Dal Porto drew Macro Cosmos next turn. He Set Tour Bus From the Underworld and Macro Cosmos before passing.

Leverett Summoned Wind-Up Rat and used its effect to Special Summon Wind-Up Rabbit from his Graveyard. Then he combined his Rat and his Rabbit to Xyz Summon Number 20: Giga-Brilliant. He detached an Xyz Material from Number 20: Giga-Brilliant in order to boost the ATK of all of his monsters, and then switched Maestroke into Attack Position. Number 20: Giga-Brilliant attacked and destroyed Dal Porto’s face-down Tour Bus From the Underworld. Dal Porto used its effect to return Neo-Spacian Grand Mole from his Graveyard to his Deck. Next, Leverett attacked directly with Maestroke and Tiras, dropping Dal Porto down to 2800 Life Points.

Dal Porto drew Torrential Tribute next turn. He activated Dark Hole to destroy Tiras and Number 20: Giga-Brilliant, and Maestroke lost an Xyz Material.

Leverett Summoned Wind-Up Rat and Dal Porto flipped Torrential Tribute to clear the field.

Dal Porto drew Solemn Judgment and Set it.

Leverett activated Fire Formation – Tenki to search his Deck for a Wind-Up Rabbit to add to his hand. He tried to Normal Summon it; but Dal Porto flipped Solemn Judgment and gave up half of his Life Points to negate its Summon.

Dal Porto drew Macro Cosmos and Set it.

Leverett Summoned Wind-Up Rabbit and attacked directly, wiping out Dal Porto’s last 1400 Life Points.

Ben Leverett wins the first Duel thanks to his Wind-Up Rabbits and Xyz Monsters! Joshua Dal Porto will be going first in Duel 2!

Duel Two

Dal Porto opened up Duel 2 with Dimensional Fissure, Sabersaurus, Mystical Space Typhoon, Needle Ceiling, Maxx “C”, and Macro Cosmos.

He Summoned Sabersaurus, activated Dimensional Fissure, and Set Needle Ceiling before ending his turn.

Leverett activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Dal Porto’s Needle Ceiling and then Normal Summoned Tour Guide From the Underworld. He activated its effect to Special Summon another Tour Guide from his Deck and then combined both Tour Guides to Summon Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity. Next, he activated Wind-Up Factory and detached an Xyz Material from Zenmaity to Special Summon Wind-Up Magician from his Deck. He added Wind-Up Rat from his Deck to his hand with Factory’s effect. When Magician was Summoned to the field, Leverett Special Summoned Wind-Up Shark from his hand. He used his Magician’s effect to Special Summon another Wind-Up Magician in Defense Position. Next, he raised Shark’s Level to 5, activating his other Magician’s effect to Special Summon another Wind-Up Shark from his Deck. He raised its Level to 5 as well, and then combined both Sharks to Xyz Summon Tiras, Keeper of Genesis. Leverett combined both copies of Wind-Up Magician to Xyz Summon Maestroke the Symphony Djinn in Attack Position next. Tiras attacked and destroyed Sabersaurus, banishing it from the Duel with Dimensional Fissure, and then direct attacks from Zenmaity and Maestroke dropped Dal Porto down to 4000 Life Points. Leverett Set a card to his back row before entering his End Phase and detaching an Xyz Material from Tiras.

Dal Porto drew Dimensional Prison. He activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Leverett’s Wind-Up Factory and then Set Dimensional Prison and Macro Cosmos.

Leverett activated the effect of his Zenmaity and Dal Porto Chained Maxx “C”. Leverett Special Summon Wind-Up Rat in Attack Position and Dal Porto drew a card. Next, Leverett used Rat’s effect to Special Summon Wind-Up Shark from his Graveyard, and Dal Porto drew another card. He lowered Shark to Level 3 and then combined it with Wind-Up Rat to Xyz Summon Wind-Up Zenmaines. Dal Porto drew another card, and then Leverett activated Fire Formation – Tenki to add Wind-Up Rabbit to his hand. He Normal Summoned Wind-Up Rabbit next. Leverett attacked directly with Tiras, and Dal Porto banished it with Dimensional Prison; but direct attacks from Wind-Up Rabbit, Maestroke the Symphony Djinn, Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity, and Wind-Up Zenmaines finished Dal Porto off!
