Welcome to YCS San Mateo! 1220 Duelists have traveled here to the San Mateo Event Center to compete in this weekend’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series tournament. Dragon Rulers reigned triumphant in the previous YCS tournament back in Toronto, and Duelists are now doing everything they can to find these Dragons’ weaknesses.

But there are new contenders capable of furthering to the draconic dominance. This weekend’s YCS tournament will be the first YCS in which the new cards from Structure Deck: Saga of Blue-Eyes White Dragon will be legal. Powerful new monsters like Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon and Maiden with Eyes of Blue may impact the competitive YCS scene this weekend. The brand new Castle of Dragon Souls Trap Card may also make Dragon Decks tougher to defeat.

This weekend’s tournament will consist of 9 rounds of Swiss play today, 2 rounds of Swiss play tomorrow morning, and then a cut to the Top 32.
