QQ: How Will You Gain an Edge Over the Competition?

February 2nd, 2014

QQ stands for Quick Questions! Players are using all sorts of different Decks this weekend, and the most successful Duelists will be those prepared to face them all. I surveyed the Duelists in attendance this weekend to see which cards they’re using to gain an edge over the competition, and which Decks those cards are most effective against. Check out their responses!

“I’m using The Dark Creator in Dark Worlds. It’s good against everything.” –Benedikt Junk

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Dragon, Fire Formation – Tenki, and Coach Soldier Wolfbark. Fire Fists are a strong Deck.” –Pedro Isidro

Skill Drain. It destroys almost any Deck, and Felgrand destroys almost any Deck. I destroy Hieratic Dragon Rulers and any other monster-heavy Deck.

Ghostrick Jackfrost and Mobius the Mega Monarch. They’re strongest against WATER Decks.” –Pasquale Crociata

“I’m Main Decking 2 copies of Black Horn of Heaven to help against Hieratic Decks.” –Brandon Wigley

“I’m using Black Horn of Heaven to help against Dragons and Fire Fists.” –Kelvin Beal

“I’m using Skill Prisoner to help against Fire Fists and Mermails.” –Perry Divan

Divine Wrath is good against everything.” –Garrett Byrd

Cardcar D, Upstart Goblin, and Pot of Duality help me reach my key cards.” –Christian Georges

“I’m using DNA Surgery and Koa’ki Meiru Drago. DNA Surgery is for beating Geargia and Prophecy Deck, and Drago is for the Mirror Match.” –Zachary Leverett (using Hieratics)

Creature Swap slows down Gravekeeper’s, Bujins, Geargia Karakuris, and Fire Fists.” –Richard Frailley

Mistake. It’s really good against all of the big Decks.” –Jarel Winston

Noble Knight Drystan and Borz.”
