There are nearly 1200 Duelists in attendance this weekend, but not all of them are veterans to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series scene. Take a look at five of our YCS first-timers in attendance this weekend!

10-year-old Adam B. has been playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME for nearly 2 and a half years, but is competing in his first-ever YCS event this weekend! Adam is a fan of the animated Yu-Gi-Oh! television series and is using an Elemental HERO Deck similar to the Deck Jaden uses in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. 10-year-old Logan Gerald has been playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME for 2 years, but just attended his first YCS event this weekend! Logan is a fan of the animated Yu-Gi-Oh! television series, and even watched it this morning before coming to play in Saturday’s Dragon Duel tournament! Logan is using a Cyber Deck, featuring his favorite Extra Deck card, Cyber Twin Dragon. Take a look at Logan holding up his favorite Fusion Monster!

Oliver Olson is 9 years old and has been playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME for years! He’s using an Atlantean Deck in today’s tournament, featuring his favorite card Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon. Take a look at Oliver holding it up!

Nikolas Bono is 9 years old and is using a Cyber Dragon Deck in the tournament today. Nevertheless, his favorite card is a card he’s not even using in his Deck: Obelisk the Tormentor! Bono likes Obelisk’s devastating effect that can destroy all of an opponents’ monsters at once. Bono has watched every Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series except for Yu-Gi-Oh! 11-year-old Linden Lazarus is competing this weekend with a Gadget Deck that features Rank-Up-Magic Barian’s Force! His favorite card is Number 101: Silent Honor ARK: A card that has significantly strengthened Rank 4 Xyz Summon strategies like those used by Gadget Decks. His favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! television series is Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Linden plays at local tournaments periodically, but has never attended a YCS event prior to today.
