Bijan Masoomi is one of the two lone Tellarknight Duelist still undefeated in the tournament, trying to battle through a field of Burning Abyss, Qliphort, and Nekroz to remain that way. His opponent is Shijing Yang, one of the many Nekroz Dueling showing their mastery as the tournament progress. Which Duelist will remain undefeated before the penultimate Round?

Yang won the roll and chose to go second.

Duel One:

Masoomi opened a hand with two copies of Reinforcement of the Army, Satellarknight Altair, Satellarknight Deneb, and Oasis of Dragon Souls. He activated Reinforcement of the Army and added Satellarknight Vega to his hand, then Normal Summoned it and used its effect to Special Summon Satellarknight Deneb, using Deneb’s effect to add Satellarknight Altair; he Set Oasis of Dragon Souls before ending his turn.

Yang Normal Summoned Senju of the Thousand Hands and used its effect to add Nekroz of Unicore to his hand, then activated Preparation of Rites to add Nekroz of Clausolas. He used the effect of Nekroz of Clausolas to add to Nekroz Kaleidoscope, then activated Raigeki to clear away both Satellarknights. He activated Nekroz Kaleidoscope, sending Herald of the Arch Light to his Graveyard, to Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore, triggering Herald of the Arch Light to add Nekroz of Brionac to his hand. He went to Battle Phase, and declared an attack with Senju of the Thousand Hands but Masoomi Flipped Oasis of Dragon Souls to Special Summon Satellarknight Vega, which then Special Summoned Satellarknight Altair from his hand, which then Special Summoned Satellarknight Deneb from his Graveyard, which then added Satellarknight Vega to his hand! Yang continued, attacking over Satellarknight Altair with Nekroz of Unicore, then went to Main Phase 2 and discarded Nekroz of Brionac to add Nekroz of Valkyrus to his hand. He Set a back row before ending.

Masoomi drew Raigeki for turn and contemplated his options while looking through his Extra Deck. He chose to overlay his two Satellarknights for Constellar Omega, but when he went to battle and tried to attack Yang activated Nekroz of Valkyrus to stop the attack by discarding itself and banishing Nekroz of Brionac. Masoomi went on to Main Phase 2, and used Reinforcement of the Army to add Satellarknight Deneb before Normal Summoning Satellarknight Vega and Special Summoning the freshly added Deneb, which then activated and added another copy of Satellarknight Vega. Masoomi slammed down Raigeki, then overlayed the two Satellarknights for Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk, he used its effect to banish Yang’s Nekroz of Clausolas and Nekroz Kaleidoscope, then equipped the Rhapsody to Omega before ending.

Yang drew to three cards and then activated Preparation of Rites adding Nekroz of Unicore to his hand. He activated its effect to add Nekroz of Valkyrus to his hand from his Graveyard before Setting a Monster along with a back row and ending.

Masoomi drew Bottomless Trap Hole for turn and then Normal Summoned Satellarknight Altair, using its effect to Special Summon Satellarknight Deneb from his Graveyard. When Deneb activated, Yang Flipped Shared Ride, getting a draw once Masoomi searched Satellarknight Altair. He Set Bottomless Trap Hole and ended his turn, choosing not to attack into Yang’s face down Monster.

Yang drew to three cards and Normal Summoned Mathematician, using its effect to send Tackle Crusader to his Graveyard! He used its effect to Flip Masoomi’s Constellar Omega face down, then Flip Summoned his Set Glow-Up Bulb and Synchroed with the Mathematician for Herald of the Arch Light. He declared an attack with Herald over the Set Constellar Omega, then ended his turn.

Masoomi drew Stellarnova Alpha for turn, then declared an attack with Satellarknight Deneb over Herald of the Arch Light, letting Yang add Nekroz of Brionac to his hand before attacking directly with Satellarknight Altair putting Yang down to 5400 Life Points. He Normal Summoned Satellarknight Altair in Main Phase 2, using its effect to Special Summon Satellarknight Deneb, which then used its effect to add Satellarknight Unukalhai to his hand; he overlayed all of his Satellarknights except for a Satellarknight Altair for Stellarknight Triverr, using its effect to return everything to the hand, but Yang Chained his Set Book of Moon to Flip it down. Massomi Set Oasis of Dragon Souls, Bottomless Trap Hole, and Stellarnova Alpha before ending.

Yang drew and Normal Summoned Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, using its effect to add Nekroz Kaleidoscope to his hand, but at resolution Masoomi activated Oasis of Dragon Souls to bring back Satellarknight Altair, which then Special Summoned Satellarknight Vega, which then Special Summoned Satellarknight Unukalhai from his hand and sent Satellarknight Deneb to his hand in order to have a Monster out in case he needed to use Stellarnova Alpha. Yang then used Nekroz of Brionac, adding Nekroz of Unicore to his hand; he activated Nekroz Kaleidoscope next, sending Herald of the Arch Light to his Graveyard to Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore, and when Masoomi tried to Bottomless Trap Hole Yang Chained the effect of Nekroz of Gungnir to stop the Bottomless Trap Hole! The Herald of the Arch Light then resolved, letting Yang add Nekroz Mirror to his hand. He then overlayed the Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands with Nekroz of Unicore for Lavalval Chain, then used Lavalval Chain to send Shaddoll Dragon to the Graveyard and blow away the Set Stellarnova Alpha! He then used Nekroz Mirror, banishing two copies of Nekroz of Unicore, to Special Summon Nekroz of Valkyrus from his hand. He went to Battle Phase next and declared an attack with Nekroz of Valkyrus over the Set Stellarknight Triverr, which let Masoomi Special Summon Satellarknight Deneb from his Graveyard and add Satellarknight Unukalhai to his hand. Yang kept going and attacked over Satellarknight Altair with Lavalval Chain, and moved to Main Phase 2 and used Glow-Up Bulb to Special Summon itself by sending Nekroz Cycle frm the top of his Deck to the Graveyard. He then sent both Lavalval Chain and Glow-Up Bulb to the Graveyard for Nekroz of Valkyrus to draw two cards, which het then Set to his back row before ending.

Masoomi drew Mystical Space Typhoon for turn, and slammed it down blindly destroying Yang’s Set Nekroz Mirror. He then overlayed all three of his Satellarknights for Stellarknight Delteros, using its effect to destroy Yang’s last Set back row: Shared Ride. Masoomi then Normal Summoned Satellarknight Vega, using its effect to Special Summon Satellarknight Unukalhai, which then overlayed to make Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer, spinning away the Nekroz of Valkyrus! After two attacks, Yang was left with only 900 Life Points.

Yang drew and immediately conceded seeing that he had no way to come back!

After a very long game, Masoomi manages to grind through and pull it out after a lot of back and forth. Will Yang be able to begin a comeback or will Masoomi seal the deal in the second Duel?

Duel Two:

Yang Normal Summoned Senju of the Thousand Hands, using its effect to add Nekroz of Brionac to his hand, then used Nekroz of Brionac to add Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz. He activated Nekroz Cycle, using the Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz as the material, to Special Summon Nekroz of Brionac from his Graveyard and add another Nekroz of Brionac to his hand thanks to Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz. He Set a back row before ending.

Masoomi started with a hand of Reinforcement of the Army, Fiendish Chain, Satellarknight Unukalhai, Satellarknight Altair, Mind Crush, and drew Thunder King Rai-Oh for turn. He activated Reinforcement of the Army, adding Satellarknight Vega to his hand which he then Normal Summoned, using its effect to Special Summon Satellarknight Unukalhai to send Satellarknight Deneb to his Graveyard. He went to Battle Phase, declaring attack over Senju of the Thousand Hands with Satellarknight Unukalhai, then went to Main Phase 2 and overlayed the two Satellarknights for Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer. He used its effect to shuffle the opposing Nekroz of Brionac in the Deck, then Set Fiendish Chain and Mind Crush before ending.

Yang drew for turn, but during his Draw Phase Masoomi activated Mind Crush to strip Yang of his Nekroz of Brionac leaving him with just Mathematician, Nekroz Kaleidoscope, and Nekroz Cycle. “That is awful!” Yang exclaimed in despair. He then Normal Summoned Mathematician to use its effect, Masoomi tried to Fiendish Chain it but Yang Flipped his Set Mystical Space Typhoon to get rid of it. He sent Glow-Up Bulb to the Graveyard, then sent Senju of the Thousand Hands to his Graveyard to Summon it, Synchroing it away for Herald of the Arch Light.

Masoomi drew Book of Moon and slammed Thunder King Rai-Oh down onto the Field! He declared an attack with Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer over the Herald of the Arch Light, and then directly with Thunder King Rai-Oh before ending.

Yang drew to three cards and was forced to end.

Masoomi drew and Normal Summoned Satellarknight Altair moving straight to Battle Phase. He declared an attack with Satellarknight Altair which prompted Yang to use his Nekroz of Valkyrus in an attempt to save himself which Masoomi let through rather than using his Book of Moon. He ended his turn immediately after.

Yang drew for turn and conceded!

After a bunch of targeted tech for Nekroz, Masoomi manages to pull out a 2-0 win and move on 6-0!
