Neither of these competitors are new to the Feature Match table. Jeff Jones brought his Performage Shaddoll Deck and he’s dueling against Thomas Morran with his Nekroz Deck. Both of these Duelists are highly skilled, and the winner of this Match will likely make the Top 32. This is a popular matchup we’re sure to see throughout the Top 32 Single Elimination Rounds and I can’t wait to get started!

Jones lost the die roll and went first. He opened with Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning, Performage Hat Tricker, Book of Moon, Mathematician, and Shaddoll Squamata. He Normal Summoned Mathematician to send Shaddoll Squamata, then Shaddoll Beast. That got him a Shaddoll Dragon. He Set Book of Moon and ended.

Morran started things off by Normal Summoning Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands to add Nekroz of Unicore. Then he used Nekroz Kaleidoscope to Ritual Summon Nekroz of Unicore using Herald of the Arc Light. He searched Nekroz of Brionac. He discarded it to add Nekroz of Clausolas, and he discarded that to add Nekroz Cycle. Next, he activated Nekroz Cycle tributing Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands and Great Sorcerer of the Nekroz to Ritual Summon Nekroz of Valkyrus, adding Nekroz of Unicore. Nekroz of Unicore attacked over Mathematician and Jones drew Breakthrough Skill, then Nekroz of Valkyrus attacked, too, but was stopped by Book of Moon. Morran Set a backrow and ended his turn.

Jones drew Shaddoll Falco. He Normal Summoned Shaddoll Dragon and Special Summoned Performage Hat Tricker. He then Xyz Summoned Performage Trapeze Magician. It attacked but was stopped by Book of Moon. Jones Set Breakthrough Skill and passed.

Morran Flip Summoned Nekroz of Valkyrus and discarded Nekroz of Unicore to add Nekroz of Brionac, which was promptly discarded to add Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz. Nekroz of Valkyrus’ effect activated next but was stopped by Breakthrough Skill. Morran used Nekroz Cycle to bring out Nekroz of Decisive Armor tributing Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz, and he added Nekroz of Brionac. Decisive Armor banished Performage Trapeze Magician and attacks from all three of Morran’s monsters sealed the first duel!

Morran was forced to go first. He discarded Nekroz of Clausolas to add Nekroz Mirror. Then he passed.

Jones started out with Book of Moon, Performage Trick Clown, Shaddoll Hedgehog, Shaddoll Fusion, El Shaddoll Fusion, and Enemy Controller. He activated Shaddoll Fusion to bring out El Shaddoll Construct sending Trick Clown and Shaddoll Hedgehog. He sent Shaddoll Beast to the grave, added Shaddoll Dragon, and Special Summoned the Trick Clown. He drew Effect Veiler with Beast. Then he Normal Summoned Shaddoll Dragon and Xyz Summoned Performage Trapeze Magician. He used its effect on El Shaddoll Construct and attacked with Trapeze Magician into Nekroz of Valkyrus but Jones used Book of Moon to turn it face-down. Two attacks from El Shaddoll Construct and an El Shaddoll Fusion and Jones took the second Duel on his very first turn!

Jones had to go first. He opened with Mathematician, two Shaddoll Falco, Vanity’s Emptiness, and El Shaddoll Fusion. He Normal Summoned Mathematician and sent Performage Damage Juggler, which he banished to add Performage Trick Clown to his hand. Then he used El Shaddoll Fusion but Morran Special Summoned Retaliating “C”. Jones summoned El Shaddoll Construct banishing Trick Clown and Shaddoll Falco and then passed after Setting Vanity’s Emptiness.

Morran used Mystical Space Typhoon on Jones’ Vanity’s Emptiness. Then he used Reinforcement of the Army to add Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz. He Book of Moon’d Retaliating “C” and then discarded Nekroz of Clausolas to add Nekroz Cycle. He used it to bring back the Nekroz of Clausolas tributing Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz, which added Brionac to his hand. Nekroz of Clausolas attacked El Shaddoll Construct and he used Nekroz of Clausolas’ effect to reduce it to 0 ATK and negate its effect. In Main Phase 2 he used Nekroz of Brionac to search Nekroz of Unicore.

Jones drew Majesty’s Fiend. He Tribute Summoned it and attacked over Retaliating “C”. He passed after that.

Morran drew to three cards in hand. He switched Nekroz of Clausolas to defense position and passed.

Jones drew Shaddoll Squamata. He attacked over Nekroz of Clausolas with Majesty’s Fiend and ended his turn.

Morran banished Nekroz Cycle and Nekroz of Clausolas to add Nekroz Mirror to his hand. He activated it banishing Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz to bring out Nekroz of Trishula, which attacked over Majesty’s Fiend. In Main Phase 2 he used Nekroz Kaleidoscope to Ritual Summon Nekroz of Unicore and he added Nekroz of Brionac to his hand with Herald of the Arc Light. Then he passed.

Jones drew Shaddoll Dragon. He Set Shaddoll Squamata and ended.

Morran drew and activated Raigeki. Shaddoll Squamata sent Shaddoll Beast to the grave and Jones drew Raigeki. Morran discarded Nekroz of Brionac to add Great Sorcerer of the Nekroz to his hand, and then he Normal Summoned it. Attack from all three monsters was just enough to take Jones’ Life Points out!
