His opponent, Donovan Schneider, is using an explosive Nekroz Deck that he adjusted for the new Advanced Format Forbidden & Limited List. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Schneider started off Duel 1 by Summoning Senju of the Thousand Hands and activating its effect to add Nekroz of Valkyrus from his Deck to his hand. He activated Nekroz Kaleidoscope next, sending Herald of the Arc Light from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard to Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore from his hand. He activated the effect of Herald of the Arc Light to add Nekroz of Clausolas from his Deck to his hand, and then discarded Nekroz of Clausolas to add Nekroz Mirror to his hand. He activated Nekroz Mirror and Tributed Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz from his hand to Special Summon Nekroz of Valkyrus. He used Shurit’s effect to add Nekroz of Brionac from his Deck to his hand. He combined Nekroz of Unicore with Senju next, Xyz Summoning Daigusto Emeral. He detached Nekroz of Unicore from his Emeral to send Unicore, Shurit, and Herald of the Arc Light back to his Deck and then draw a card. He activated the effect of Nekroz of Valkyrus next, Tributing his on-field Valkyrus and Emeral to draw 2 cards. He banished Nekroz of Clausolas and Nekroz Kaleidoscope from his Graveyard next, adding Nekroz Cycle from his Deck to his hand with his Kaleidoscope’s effect. He ended his turn with 6 cards in his hand and no cards on the field.

Lin opened up with Void Seer, Reasoning, Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, Infernoid Devyaty, Infernoid Onuncu, and Infernoid Harmadik. He activated Reasoning, and Schneider called Level 1. Lin flipped the top card of his Deck, which was Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress, and Special Summoned it to the field in Attack Position. He attacked directly and then ended his turn, sending Infernoid Seitsemas, Reinforcement of the Army, and One for One from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard in the End Phase with Lyla’s effect.

Schneider banished Nekroz Mirror and Nekroz of Valkyrus from his Graveyard to use his Mirror’s effect and add Nekroz Kaleidoscope from his Deck to his hand. Next, he activated Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands and activated its effect to add Nekroz of Unicore from his Deck to his hand. He activated Nekroz Kaleidoscope next, sending Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard to Special Summon Nekroz of Valkyrus and Nekroz of Unicore from his hand. Next, he discarded Nekroz of Brionac to search his Deck for Exa, Enforcer of the Nekroz and add it to his hand. He activated his Valkyrus’s effect next, Tributing Exa and Denko Sekka from his hand to draw 2 cards. He used Exa’s effect to add Nekroz of Decisive Armor from his Deck to his hand. Schneider discarded Nekroz of Decisive Armor to increase the ATK of Nekroz of Unicore and then activated Reinforcement of the Army to add Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz to his hand. Finally, Schneider activated Nekroz Cycle, and Lin conceded, realizing he would be defeated that turn.

Duel Two

Schneider started off Duel 2 by Summoning Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands and activated its effect to add Nekroz Kaleidoscope from his Deck to his hand. He discarded Nekroz of Brionac next, activating its effect to add Nekroz of Unicore from his Deck to his hand. He activated Nekroz Kaleidoscope, sending Herald of the Arc Light from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard to Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore from his hand. He activated the effect of Herald of the Arc Light to add Nekroz of Brionac from his Deck to his hand. Schneider then passed his turn.

Lin opened up with Charge of the Light Brigade, Infernoid Antra, Burial from a Different Dimension, Mistake, Infernoid Harmadik, and Infernoid Pirmais. He activated Charge of the Light Brigade, sending Infernoid Seitsemas, Infernoid Onuncu, and One for One to his Graveyard and adding Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn to his hand. Schneider discarded Maxx “C” from his hand next, activating its effect. Lin banished Seitsemas from his Graveyard and Antra and Pirmais from his hand to Special Summon Onuncu from his Graveyard. Lin drew a card with the effect of Maxx “C” and then Onuncu’s effect destroyed all monster on the field. Lin Summoned Raiden next, and activated its effect to send Reasoning and Upstart Goblin from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard. Raiden attacked directly, and Schneider discarded Nekroz of Valkyrus from his hand and banished Nekroz of Brionac from his Graveyard to stop the attack and end the Battle Phase. Lin Set Mistake and Burial from a Different Dimension before ending his End Phase and sending another Infernoid from his Deck to his Graveyard with the effect of Raiden in the End Phase.

Schneider discarded Nekroz of Clausolas from his hand to activate its effect; but Lin Chained Mistake, and Schneider was unable to search his Deck!

Lin Summoned another Raiden and used its effect to send Devyaty and Charge of the Light Brigade from his Deck to his Graveyard. He attacked directly with both Raidens and Onuncu to drop Schneider down to 1600 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Lin combined his Raidens to Xyz Summon Tellarknight Ptolemaeus in Defense Position, and he attached Stellarknight Constellar Diamond to it as an Xyz Material in the End Phase with its effect.

Schneider conceded on his next turn, unable to make any effective plays with Mistake face-up on the field.

Duel Three

Lin opened up with Raiden, Reinforcement of the Army, Infernoid Harmadik, and 2 copies of Antra. He activated Reinforcement of the Army to add Raiden to his hand and then Summoned it to the field. He activated its effect to send Void Seer and Reasoning from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard. He banished Infernoid Antra from his hand next, in order to Special Summon another Antra from his hand in Defense Position. In his End Phase, Lin sent Infernoid Decatron and Void Seer from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard with the effect of Raiden.

Schneider activated Nekroz Kaleidoscope to send Herald of the Arc Light from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard and Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore from his hand. He activated the effect of Herald of the Arc Light to add Nekroz of Brionac from his Deck to his hand and then Normal Summoned Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands. He activated its effect to add Nekroz of Clausolas from his Deck to his hand and then discarded it to add Nekroz Mirror from his Deck to his hand. He activated the effect of Nekroz of Brionac next, adding Nekroz of Trishula from his Deck to his hand. He activated Nekroz Mirror, banishing Nekroz of Clausolas and Nekroz of Brionac from his Graveyard to Special Summon Nekroz of Trishula from his hand. He activated Nekroz of Trishula’s effect, and Lin Chained the effect of Antra to Tribute Antra and banish Nekroz Kaleidoscope from Schneider’s Graveyard. Next, Trishula’s effect banished Raiden from Lin’s field, Decatron from Lin’s Graveyard, and Harmadik from Lin’s hand. Direct attacks from Nekroz of Unicore, Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, and Nekroz of Trishula dropped Lin down to 1600 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Schneider combined Manju with Nekroz of Unicore to Xyz Summon Tellarknight Ptolemaeus and then used it to Xyz Summon Satellarknight Constellar Diamond. He activated Preparation of Rites next, adding Nekroz Mirror from his Graveyard to his hand and Nekroz of Brionac from his Deck to his hand. Schneider Set a card to his back row before passing his turn.

Lin drew Upstart Goblin and activated it to draw Reinforcement of the Army from his Deck. He immediately conceded, overwhelmed by Schneider’s field.
