Welcome to YCS Dallas!

October 3rd, 2015

1287 Duelists have traveled this weekend to prove their worth and try to immortalize them as a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Winner. Only one can make it all the way, but who will it be?

Welcome

While the Advance Format has not had any significant changes recently as far as the Forbidden & Limited List goes, new and exciting cards are being released all the time to shake things up! Most recently, High-Speed Riders has brought two new exciting strategies, PSY-Frame and Speedroid, along with even more support for Red Dragon Archfiend. Both PSY-Frame and Speedroid have a lot of cool and interesting plays that make them quite powerful, while the new Red Dragon Archfiend support is quite the force to be reckoned with.

However, if you thought that new Psychic and Synchro cards were the coolest thing you would see this weekend, you are in for a treat. With the release of the 2015 Mega-Tins has come the release of Old Entity Hastorr and Elder Entity Norden. While the former has not received that much hype, the latter may have the biggest impact a single card has made in quite some time.

Elder Entity Norden is easily Special Summoned with Instant Fusion, meaning that a single card now gives you access to Level 4 Monsters to do whatever you would like with! Most of the time that is going to be a Rank 4 Xyz, but the possibilities are endless as we will definitely see a large variety of play with it this weekend.

Even with all of these new tools the major powerhouses are still represented in large numbers. Nekroz and Shaddoll can both utilize Elder Entity Norden very well, while Burning Abyss does not necessarily have a good way to do so.

Will someone find success with this new technology? Or will the tried and true prevail? We will have to see this weekend!

It’s Time to Duel!
