This Match spotlights the power of technology, with Kozmos against Qliphorts! Jed Copsey is using Qliphorts, featuring Wavering Eyes and plenty of ways to hamper his opponent’s plans. He’s up against Mitchell Martin, one of our VIP Duelists! By winning a YCS VIP Qualifier tournament, you get to attend the YCS for free! You also get to lounge in the exclusive VIP area, and you automatically win the first two rounds of the YCS without having to play. Martin has to start Dueling now though, and Copsey doesn’t intend to make it easy for him.

Duel 1

Copsey won the dice roll and chose to play first. He put Qliphort Cephalopod and Qliphort Carrier in the Pendulum Zones, then used Wavering Eyes. He searched for Qliphort Scout and played it. When he activated its effect, Martin destroyed it with Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit! Copsey Set two to his back row.

Martin had Kozmo Sliprider, Kozmotown, Honest, Kozmo Forerunner, and Kozmo Strawman. He played Kozmotown, and used it to put back his Kozmos, getting Kozmo Strawman, Kozmo Goodwitch, and Galaxy Cyclone. Cyclone hit Copsey’s Lose 1 Turn, and Martin sent Goodwitch to attack directly.

Copsey passed.

Martin drew Kozmoll Wickedwitch. He returned Strawman and Wickedwitch to the Deck with Kozmotown, drawing Farmgirl and a second Honest. He banished Galaxy Cyclone to destroy his Kozmotown, adding Kozmo Sliprider to his hand. He banished Goodwitch to Special Summon Sliprider, and it was hit by Fiendish Chain. Martin played Farmgirl and attacked directly, adding Kozmo Dark Destroyer to his hand! He banished Farmgirl to Special Summon Dark Destroyer, which destroyed Sliprider. Sliprider’s effect brought Kozmoll Wickedwitch to the field, and Wickedwitch and Dark Destroyer finished off the last of Copsey’s Life Points!

Martin proves why he earned his VIP spot, taking a commanding win! The Duelists each moved to their Side Decks, looking to get an edge on their opponent.

Duel 2

Copsey began, Normal Summoning Qliphort Shell.

Martin’s hand was Honest, 2 Emergency Teleport, Farmgirl, Kozmotown, and Mistake. He played Kozmotown, returning Farmgirl to draw… Farmgirl again. He Normal Summoned Honest and played Emergency Teleport. Copsey Chained Maxx “C”, and Martin Chained his second Emergency Teleport. He Special Summoned Farmgirl and Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit. Martin tuned Ghost Ogre to Honest for Ancient Fairy Dragon, destroying Kozmotown to gain 1000 Life Points. He got a new Kozmotown from Fairy Dragon, and the old one’s effect put Kozmo Dark Destroyer in his hand. He played the new Kozmotown and returned Farmgirl from his hand to the Deck, drawing Honest. In the Battle Phase, Farmgirl attacked Qliphort Shell and Honest let her win the battle. Her effect put Kozmoll Wickedwitch in Martin’s hand. Ancient Fairy Dragon attacked directly, and Farmgirl’s effect Special Summoned Dark Destroyer to end the Match!

Martin takes the second Duel even more forcefully than the first! Martin is your victor, with Kozmos!
