Round 5 Feature Match: Chancy Wigglestove versus Benjamin Leverett

November 8th, 2015

Chancy Wigglestove is quite the popular comedian in the community, but even though he is known for his laughs, he’s no slouch in terms of Dueling skills; he has chosen to use a Majespecter Deck with a bunch of sweet tech. His opponent is young legend Benjamin Leverett, sticking to his guns and bringing his Nekroz to the table. Can Wigglestove claim victory while always holding his hand upside down? Or will Leverett see through the sitcom that is Wigglestove and take the match?

Wigglestove won the roll and chose second.

Duel One:

Leverett started with Nekroz of Brionac to add Nekroz of Valkyrus and then activated Nekroz of Unicore to add back the Nekroz of Brionac before ending his first turn.

Wigglestove opened with a hand of Majespecter Crow – Yata, Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer, Archfiend Eccentrick, Majespecter Cyclone, Majespecter Fox – Kyubi, and drew Majespecter Tempest for turn. He placed Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer on scale along with Majespecter Fox – Kyubi, then used the effect of Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer to destroy the Kyubi so he could add another copy. He then placed the second copy on Scale and Pendulum Summoned the Majespecter Fox – Kyubi from his Extra Deck along with Majespecter Crow – Yata and Archfiend Eccentrick from his hand; both Majespecter Fox – Kyubi and Majespecter Crow – Yata triggered which let him add Majespecter Tornado and Majespecter Cyclone. He declared attacks with both of his Majespecters and Set his hand to his back row before he ended.

Leverett drew and activated Nekroz of Brionac to add Great Sorcerer of the Nekroz to his hand, then activated Nekroz Cycle to tribute the Great Sorcerer of the Nekroz and Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore from his Graveyard. The Great Sorcerer of the Nekroz triggered which let him add Nekroz of Unicore, and then he ditched Nekroz of Clausolas to add Nekroz Kaleidoscope. He activated the freshly searched Ritual Spell to Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore by sending Herald of the Arc Light to the Graveyard, and once it did hit the bin it triggered to let Leverett add Nekroz of Trishula. Leverett moved to Battle Phase and declared an attack, which prompted a, “I guess I should’ve done this before you added Trish.” from Wigglestove. He Flipped his Set Majespecter Cyclone and tributed his Majespecter Crow – Yata to destroy one of the Nekroz of Unicore, and then the other Nekroz of Unicore made an attack over Wigglestove’s Majespecter Fox – Kyubi. In Main Phase 2 Leverett activated Mystical Space Typhoon to blow away the Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer that was currently a Pendulum Scale before he ended.

Wigglestove drew Majesty’s Pegasus a little too late! He was forced to pass not having any good plays.

Leverett drew and activated Reinforcement of the Army to add Nekroz of Clausolas, and then used its effect to add Nekroz Mirror. He then activated it, banishing his Nekroz of Clausolas and Nekroz of Brionac from his Graveyard, to Special Summon Nekroz of Trishula! Wigglestove sighed and admitted that he should’ve probably Set his in hand Field Spell as the Nekroz of Trishula resolved and banished it along with his Pendulum Scale Majespecter Fox – Kyubi and the Majespecter Cyclone from his Graveyard. Leverett made attacks with Nekroz of Unicore over Archfiend Eccentrick and Nekroz of Trishula directly before he ended.

Wigglestove drew Majespecter Crow – Yata and let out a cry, “Oh man, if I would’ve Set the Field Spell I could’ve won!” Both Duelists laughed and Wigglestove Set the Majespecter Crow – Yata.

Leverett drew and Normal Summoned Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands to add Nekroz of Decisive Armor to his hand. He thought for a moment but ultimately went to Battle Phase, and when he swung with Nekroz of Unicore which was enough for Wigglestove as he conceded.

After a capitalizing on Wigglestove’s small misstep, Leverett manages to take the first Duel. Can Wigglestove wiggle his way out this time?

Wigglestove chose to go second.

Duel Two:

Leverett started off with Nekroz of Brionac to add Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz and before he used Nekroz of Unicore to add back the Nekroz of Brionac. He then activated Nekroz Cycle, tributing the Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz, to Special Summon Nekroz of Unicore from his Graveyard. The Shurit, Strategist of Nekroz triggered once it was sent there which let him add Nekroz of Trishula. He Set a back row before he ended.

Wigglestove opened a hand of Solemn Warning, Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer, Majespecter Cyclone, Majesty’s Pegasus, and Pendulum Impenetrable before he drew Majespecter Tornado for turn. Clearly in dismay, Wigglestove began shaking his head while Setting his cards and both Duelists shared a quick laugh. Wigglestove chose to Set just Solemn Warning and Majespecter Tornado before he ended.

Leverett Normal Summoned Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands and Leverett responded with Solemn Warning to stop it, but this put him exactly into a position to get hit by Nekroz of Trishula! Leverett slammed Nekroz Mirror down and Special Summoned his Nekroz of Trishula, banishing not only three of Wigglestove’s cards but also his chance at winning this Duel. He activated Nekroz of Brionac next to add Nekroz of Decisive Armor, and with exactly lethal damage Set up, Wigglestove conceded.
