Zhenning Guo is the only undefeated Majespecter Duelist left in the tournament, and while he is probably already locked for Top Cut at this point, getting into the Top 32 as the first seed has some pretty big upside in terms of who you are paired against in the first rounds. His opponent is Sven Amaya, one of many Duelists who chose to Duel with Kozmo this weekend, but unlike Guo he is sitting at 7-0-1, meaning that he has a draw and that this match matters much more for him. If he loses this match he will need to win the following, otherwise he is likely to be out of contention for Top Cut. Who will come out on top between this battle between Dimension of Chaos strategies?

Amaya won the roll and opted for Guo to go first.

Duel One:

Guo started with a hand containing Majespecter Crow – Yata, Majespecter Cat – Nekomata, Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer, Solemn Warning, and Majespecter Cyclone. He started off by placing Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer on his Pendulum Scale along with Majespecter Cat – Nekomata and used the effect of Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer to destroy his other Scale and add another copy. He placed the new copy back on the scale and announced he would Pendulum Summon both Majespecter Cat – Nekomata and Majespecter Crow – Yata. Both triggered, Guo added Majespecter Cyclone to his hand. He Set both copies of Majespecter Cyclone along with Solemn Warning and during the End Phase added Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku to his hand thanks to Majespecter Cat – Nekomata.

Amaya started off by activating Galaxy Cyclone and blew away one of Guo’s Majespecter Cyclone. He then Normal Summoned Kozmoll Wickedwitch and declared an attack over Majespecter Cat – Nekomata. He tried to use its effect, but Guo stopped it with Solemn Warning. He Set one to his back row before passing back.

Guo drew Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin for turn and activated the effect of Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer to destroy Majespecter Cat – Nekomata and add another copy. He placed it back on scale and then announced a Pendulum Summon as he Summoned two copies of Majespecter Cat – Nekomata from his Extra Deck along with Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku from his hand. He triggered both Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku and Majespecter Cat – Nekomata, grabbing Majespecter Fox – Kyubi off of Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku. He Normal Summoned the Majespecter Fox – Kyubi and activated its effect to add Majespecter Tempest before he overlayed Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku with one of the Majespecter Cat – Nekomata for Totem Bird! He declared direct attacks with Totem Bird and Majespecter Fox – Kyubi to put Amaya down to 4300 Life Points. He Set the Majespecter Tempest in Main Phase 2 and during End Phase he added Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku to his hand thanks to Majespecter Cat – Nekomata.

Amaya started by activating a second copy of Galaxy Cyclone from his hand but Guo ultimately chose to negate it with Totem Bird. Amaya thought to himself for a moment and ultimately chose to Normal Summon Kozmoll Wickedwitch. He activate the Graveyard effect of the Galaxy Cyclone he had used last turn and destroyed Guo’s Majespecter Cat – Nekomata off of his scale before he passed.

Guo drew Archfiend Eccentrick for turn and considered his options before placing Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin on scale. He chose to Pendulum Summon Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku from his hand and activate its effect to add a second copy before he used the effect of Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer to destroy Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin and add another copy. He placed Archfiend Eccentrick in the Pendulum Zone next and used its effect to blow away Amaya’s Set Storming Mirror Force. Next, Guo overlayed both Majespecter Cat – Nekomata and Majespecter Fox – Kyubi for Performage Trapeze Magician! He used its effect on Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku and then went to Battle Phase. He activated Majespecter Cyclone to bait out the effect of Kozmoll Wickedwitch and when Amaya activated it, Guo responded with Majespecter Tempest to negate it! Now with a clear board, Guo swung in with both Performage Trapeze Magician and Totem Bird to finish the Duel!

After a strong opening with Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer to Set up huge Pendulum plays, Guo takes the first game. Can Amaya manage to win the back two? Or will Guo continue his dominating performance?

Duel Two:

Amaya started things off with the Normal Summon of Kozmoll Wickedwitch before he Set three to his back row and ended.

Guo had a hand of Necrovalley , Archfiend Eccentrick, Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku, Majespecter Fox – Kyubi, and Majespecter Cyclone before he drew a second copy of Majespecter Fox – Kyubi for turn. He studied his hand for a moment and went forward with the Normal Summon of Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku and used its effect to add Majespecter Cat – Nekomata to his hand. He placed Archfiend Eccentrick in his Pendulum Zone and Majespecter Fox – Kyubi on the opposite before he Pendulum Summoned Majespecter Fox – Kyubi and Majespecter Cat – Nekomata from his hand. Both triggered, and he added Majespecter Tempest to his hand thanks to Majespecter Fox – Kyubi. He Set the Trap along with Majespecter Cyclone and during the End Phase he added Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku to his hand.

Amaya activated his Set Galaxy Cyclone trying to target Guo’s Set Majespecter Cyclone, but Guo Chained it tributing his Majespecter Cat – Nekomata to try to destroy the opposing Kozmoll Wickedwitch. In response to that, Amaya activated its effect but Guo used ‘mtempt tributing away his Majespecter Fox – Kyubi to negate it. Amaya followed it up with the Normal Summon of Kozmo Strawman and activated its effect to Special Summon Kozmo Dark Destroyer to the Field. He ran over Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku before he ended.

Guo drew Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin for turn and announced a Pendulum Summon for his Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku, Majespecter Fox – Kyubi, and Majespecter Cat – Nekomata from his Extra Deck. He triggered all three, adding Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku to his hand along with Majespecter Tempest. He overlayed Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku and Majespecter Cat – Nekomata for Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction, but when he attacked Amaya had Storming Mirror Force! Guo moved to Main Phase 2 and Normal Summoned a second copy of Majespecter Fox – Kyubi but couldn’t use its effect. During the End Phase he added Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku to his hand.

Amaya drew and slammed down Kozmotown! He activated its effect and added back his Kozmoll Wickedwitch and Normal Summoned it. He went to Battle Phase and declared an attack over both of Guo’s Monsters leaving him with 5000 Life Points before he ended.

Guo drew Majespecter Crow – Yata for turn and announced a Pendulum Summon when he entered Main Phase. He Special Summoned Majespecter Fox – Kyubi, Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku, and Majespecter Cat – Nekomata from his Extra Deck along with Majespecter Crow – Yata from his hand. He triggered his effects and added Majespecter Tempest to his hand. He activated the effect of Archfiend Eccentrick to blow away Amaya’s Set Storming Mirror Force before he overlayed Majespecter Crow – Yata and Majespecter Fox – Kyubi for Number 52: Diamond Crab King! He used its effect and then went to Battle Phase to crash it into Kozmo Dark Destroyer. He Majespecter Tempest and added Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku to his hand during the End Phase thanks to Majespecter Cat – Nekomata.

Amaya drew and activated Kozmotown to add back his Kozmo Strawman to his hand. He declared an attack with Kozmoll Wickedwitch over Guo’s Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku and Set a Monster along with a back row before he ended his turn.

Guo drew a copy of Imperial Iron Wall for turn and placed Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku in his Pendulum Zone. He announced a Pendulum Summon and put Majespecter Cat – Nekomata, Majespecter Fox – Kyubi, Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku, and Archfiend Eccentrick into play. He activated the effect of Archfiend Eccentrick and blew away Amaya’s Set Kozmo Strawman before he tributed awayMajespecter Cat – Nekomata to Normal Summon Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin from his hand! He moved to Battle Phase and declared an attack with Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin and when Amaya tried to activate the effect of Kozmoll Wickedwitch, Guo used Majespecter Tempest to stop it. He pushed through with Majespecter Unicorn – Kirin and Set Imperial Iron Wall before he ended and triggered Majespecter Cat – Nekomata to add Majespecter Crow – Yata.

Amaya drew for turn and during his Draw Phase, Guo Flipped his Set Imperial Iron Wall. Amaya activated the effect of Kozmotown to shuffle back his freshly drawn Kozmo Dark Destroyer for a new card, which he Set before he ended.

Guo drew Solemn Warning for turn but Amaya Flipped his Set Wavering Eyes to blow away both of his Pendulum Scales! It did not matter though, as Guo pressed forward and swung for game!
