Jose Uriel Diaz de Leon is the last Kozmo player left in a sea of Performapal Pendulum players. His Deck and skills have taken him to top 16 and he’s looking to advance further.   Can he overcome Oscar Wener Zelaya Jr.’s Performage Pendulum Deck? Left’s find out!

Diaz won the roll and elected to go first.

Game 1

Diaz started with Kozmo Tincan. He set one spell or trap, then moved to the End Phase, activating Kozmo Tincan’s effect revealing Kozmo Dark Eclipser, Kozmo Dark Destroyer and Kozmo Forerunner. Kozmo Dark Eclipser was added to hand with the others sent to the Graveyard.

Zelaya drew Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer, but Diaz flipped-up Anti-Spell Fragrance in the Standby Phase! Zelaya set Performapal Lizardraw and Solemn Strike before passing. Diaz used Kozmo Tincan’s effect again, revealing Kozmotown, Kozmo Dark Destroyer and Kozmo Farmgirl. Kozmo Dark Destroyer was added, the other 2 were sent to the Graveyard. Diaz activated Kozmo Tincan’s Special Summoned effect, banishing it for Kozmo Sliprider and its effect destroyed the newly set Solemn Strike.

Diaz drew for turn, Kozmo Goodwitch was Normal Summoned, which attacked into the face-down Lizardraw. Kozmo Sliprider attacked directly. Kozmo Goodwitch was banished to Special Summon a Kozmo Dark Destroyer from hand, which destroyed Kozmo Sliprider, Special Summoning Kozmo Farmgirl, which prompted Zelaya to concede right on the spot.

Game 2

Zelaya elected to go first.

Zelaya started with a hand of Performage Damage Juggler, Performapal Monkeyboard, Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer, Mystical Space Typhoon and Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer. Performapal Monkeyboard was activated to add Performapal Skullcrobat Joker, who was Normal Summoned to add Performapal Guitartle to hand. Diaz activated Maxx “C” when Performapal Guitartle was activated. Zelaya passed.

Diaz activated Dark Hole, then Normal Summoned Kozmo Farmgirl! Kozmo Farmgirl attacked, but Zelaya activated Damage Performage Damage Juggler to prevent the damage. Still in the Battle Phase, Kozmo Farmgirl was banished to Special Summon Kozmo Dark Destroyer, which used its effect to destroy itself Special Summoning Kozmo Strawman. In Main Phase 2, Kozmo Strawman’s effect Special Summoned the banished Kozmo Dark Destroyer. He set 1 and moved to the End Phase, where Dark Destroyer was destroyed again, Special Summoning Kozmo Tincan, which used its effect in the same End Phase, revealing Kozmo Sliprider, Kozmo Dark Eclipser and Kozmo Dark Destroyer. Kozmo Dark Eclipser was added to hand.

Zelaya drew for turn, banished Performage Damage Juggler to add Performage Plushfire to hand. He Normal Summoned Plushfire, then Special Summoned Performage Hat Tricker, then used both to Xyz Summon Diamond Dire Wolf, whose Summon was negated by Diaz’s Solemn Strike! Zelaya proceeded to Pendulum Summon Performapal Skullcrobat Joker, Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer and Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer! Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer used its effect to destroy only the Performapal Monkeyboard and search another copy from the Deck. Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer and Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer were used to Synchro Summon Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer! Ignister’s effect Special Summoned Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer from the Deck, then Performapal Monkeyboard was activated as a Pendulum Spell and searched for Performapal Skullcrobat Joker. Zelaya then asked for Eclipser’s stats, then declared an attack on Kozmo Tincan, destroying it. When he declared an attack on Kozmo Strawman, Diaz banished it to Special Summon Eclipser. In Main Phase 2, Zelaya used Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer’s effect to destroy his own Performapal Monkeyboard and send Kozmo Dark Eclipser back to the Deck.

Diaz drew and scooped up his cards, moving this match into game 3!

Game 3

Diaz chose to go first. He started with a Kozmo Goodwitch, banishing it to Special Summon a Kozmo Dark Destroyer, destroying itself to Special Summon Kozmo Strawman from the Deck, then Kozmo Strawman Special Summoning the banished Kozmo Dark Destroyer. He set 2 cards, then moved to the End Phase where Kozmo Dark Destroyer was destroyed again, Special Summoning Kozmo Tincan. Kozmo Tincan’s effect activated, revealing Kozmo Dark Destroyer, Kozmo Dark Eclipser and Kozmo Forerunner. Kozmo Dark Eclipser was added to hand.

Zelaya drew for turn, Normal Summoned Performapal Skullcrobat Joker, added Performapal Guitartle to hand. Draco Face-Off was activated next, revealing Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer and Vector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord. Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer was added to the Extra Deck and Vector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord was Special Summoned. Zelaya overlaid his 2 monsters from Diamond Dire Wolf. Diaz responded by activating Call of the Haunted targeting Kozmo Dark Destroyer, Special Summoning it and clearing away Diamond Dire Wolf with its effect. Zelaya continued, activating Performapal Monkeyboard and Performapal Guitartle. Diaz used Kozmo Strawman to Special Summon Kozmo Sliprider, destroying Performapal Guitartle. Zelaya set Solemn Strike and ended.

Diaz drew, attacked with everything, set another card and passed.

Zelaya drew, his hand now containing Mystical Space Typhoon and 2 copies of Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer. His face-down was Solemn Strike and his Pendulum Zone contains only a Performapal Monkeyboard. He banished Performage Damage Juggler to add Performage Plushfire to hand, then used Mystical Space Typhoon on his own Performapal Monkeyboard. He followed up by activating Performage Plushfire and Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer as scales and attempted to Pendulum Summon 3 monsters but Diaz negated the Summon with a clutch Solemn Strike! That was enough for Zelaya to concede the match!
