Round 6 Feature Match: Cleivis Alfama versus Jason Zimmerman
Cleivis Alfama and Jason Zimmerman both currently have four wins and one loss in the tournament, each with a rather unconventional strategy. Cleivis Alfama from Massachusetts is using an Atlantean Mermail Deck that features Brilliant Fusion and Performage Trick Clown to enhance its ability to wipe out 8000 Life Points in a single turn. Zimmerman, on the other hand, is using a Performapal Pendulum Deck that features 3 copies of Angel Trumpeter – a Level 4 Normal Tuner from Shining Victories that has synergy with the Rescue Rabbit, Painful Decisions, and Unexpected Dais that Zimmerman also uses in his Deck. Angel Trumpeter helps Zimmerman make big plays involving Synchro Summons, making his Performapal Pendulum Deck nearly as explosive as Alfama’s Atlantean Mermails. Now, Alfama and Zimmerman are Dueling against one another in this Round 6 Feature Match, in a Match that will determine which Duelist will advance with a 5-1 record. It’s time to Duel!
Duel One
Zimmerman started off Duel 1 by placing Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer and Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer in his Pendulum Zones.
Next, he Normal Summoned Performapal Secondonkey and activated its effect to add Performapal Skullcrobat Joker from his Deck to his hand.
Alfama opened up Duel 1 with Solemn Strike, Twin Twisters, Brilliant Fusion, Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord, and 2 copies of Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince. He activated Brilliant Fusion and Zimmerman Chained Maxx “C”. Alfama sent Performage Trick Clown and Gem-Knight Garnet from his Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon Gem-Knight Seraphinite from his Extra Deck and gave up 1000 Life Points to Special Summon Trick Clown back to the field. Zimmerman drew 2 cards thanks to Maxx “C”. Next, Alfama Summoned Neptabyss and activated its effect to send Atlantean Dragoons from his Deck to his Graveyard and add Atlantean Heavy Infantry from his Deck to his hand. He used the effect of his Dragoons to add Deep Sea Diva from his Deck to his hand and then Normal Summoned his Diva. He activated its effect to Special Summon Atlantean Marksman from his Deck in Attack Position, allowing Zimmerman to draw another card. Next, Alfama Tuned Deep Sea Diva with Neptabyss to Synchro Summon Tatsunoko in Attack Position, allowing Zimmerman to draw another card. Next, Alfama Tuned Tatsunoko with Seraphinite to Synchro Summon PSY-Framelord Omega in Attack Position, and Zimmerman drew another card off of Maxx “C”. Alfama attacked Secondonkey with Atlantean Marksman to destroy it and inflict 400 points of damage to Zimmerman. He Special Summoned Atlantean Dragoons from his Deck with the effect of his Marksman, and Zimmerman drew another card. Dragoons attacked directly next, and Zimmerman Special Summoned Speedroid Menko from his hand in Attack Position to stop the attack and switch all of Alfama’s monsters into Defense Position! Next, Alfama combined 2 of his monsters together to Xyz Summon Number 101: Silent Honor ARK in Defense Position, and activated its effect to attach Speedroid Menko to Number 101: Silent Honor ARK as an Xyz Material. Zimmerman drew another card with Maxx “C” as a result of Number 101’s Summon. Alfama Special Summoned Moulinglacia from his hand next, allowing Zimmerman to draw another card and then forcing Zimmerman to send 2 random cards from his hand to his Graveyard.
Zimmerman drew for his turn and then had 6 cards in his hand thanks to all of the cards he was able to draw off of Maxx “C” on the previous turn. Next, he Summoned Performapal Skullcrobat Joker and activated the effect; but Alfama flipped Solemn Strike to negate its effect and destroy the Joker. Next, Zimmerman used his Master Pendulum’s effect to destroy the Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer in his Pendulum Zone. He placed Performapal Silver Claw in his Pendulum Zone next, and Alfama activated Twin Twisters by discarding Atlantean Heavy Infantry, destroying both of Zimmerman’s Pendulum Scales. Next, Zimmerman activated Instant Fusion and Special Summoned Elder Entity Norden from his Extra Deck. He used its effect to Special Summon Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer from his Graveyard, and then combined Master Pendulum with Elder Entity Norden to Xyz Summon Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer in Attack Position. He detached both Xyz Materials to shuffle Moulinglacia back into Alfama’s Deck with Castel’s effect, and Alfama was forced to skip his next Battle Phase due to Moulinglacia’s effect.
Alfama drew Instant Fusion. He activated it by paying 1000 Life Points, and Zimmerman Chained Maxx “C”. Alfama Special Summoned Norden from his Extra Deck, allowing Zimmerman to draw a card, and then Alfama activated Norden’s effect to Special Summon Performage Trick Clown from his Graveyard, allowing Zimmerman to draw another card. Next, he combined Norden with Trick Clown to Summon Daigusto Emeral, allowing Zimmerman to draw a third card from Maxx “C”. He detached Norden from Emeral to activate its effect and shuffle Deep Sea Diva and 2 copies of Atlantean Dragoons from his Graveyard back into his Deck and draw Maxx “C”. Next, he banished his PSY-Framelord Omega from the Duel to banish Performapal Lizardraw from Zimmerman’s hand with its effect. Alfama Summoned Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince next, and used its effect to send Dragoons from his Deck to his Graveyard and add Atlantean Dragoons from his Deck to his hand. He used the effect of the Dragoons he sent to the Graveyard to add Moulinglacia from his Deck to his hand and then Special Summoned it. Zimmerman drew a card and then sent Instant Fusion and Painful Decision from his hand to his Graveyard due to Moulinglacia’s effect.
Zimmerman activated Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer and Lector Pendulum, the Dracoverlord in his Pendulum Zones, and then Alfama activated Maxx “C”. Zimmerman Pendulum Summoned Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer, Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer, Performapal Silver Claw, and Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer, and then Alfama drew a card thanks to the effect of Maxx “C”. Next, Zimmerman Tuned 2 of his monsters together to Synchro Summon Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer. He combined Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer and Silver Claw to Summon Number 39: Utopia, and upgraded it into Number S39: Utopia the Lightning. Next, he attacked Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince with Utopia the Lightning, and detached both Xyz Materials to increase his monster’s ATK to 5000. Alfama lost 4200 Life Points and his Neptabyss was destroyed. Finally, Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer attacked over Daigusto Emeral, ending the Duel!

Then, he used his Ignister Prominence’s effect, and Alfama Chained the effect of Abyss Dweller. Zimmerman destroyed his own Guitartle and returned Abyss Dweller to Alfama’s Extra Deck. Next, he combined his 2 monsters to Summon Majester Paladin, the Ascending Dracoslayer. He activated its effect to Special Summon Master Pendulum, the Dracoslayer from his Extra Deck in Attack Position. He activated Instant Fusion to Special Summon Elder Entity Norden from his Extra Deck, and used its effect to Special Summon Angel Trumpeter from his Graveyard.
