Despite Zoodiac Ratpier being Semi-Limited, Zoodiac Decks still had the strongest showing here at YCS Denver! Metalfoes were leading in the top tables through most of the weekend, though they’re now firmly in second place. We had predicted Infernoids and Paleozoics would be very strong, and they’ve shown that they’re more than capable of competing in this new format. Zombie Lightsworn Decks, using Shiranui, are all very strong contenders as well. Several of them are packing the new Gozuki card from Duelist Saga, in addition to the usual Uni-Zombie. Finally, there’s a handful of other Decks making the cut with one representative for each. Two very different Invoked strategies, one using Lightsworn monsters and one with Windwitches, and a Kozmo Deck designed to win in the Zoodiac and Paleozoic matchups, all made the top cut. Finally, a SPYRAL Zoodiac hybrid Deck made it into the Top 32! SPYRALs have been popping up quite a bit at this event, probably in part due to the new SPYRAL Tough and SPYGAL Misty from Raging Tempest.
The Top 32 has just begun! Check back to see who advances!
