Duel 1
Furman won the roll and chose to play first. He started with a hand of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Imperial Order, Dragonic Diagram, Zoodiac Barrage, and Zoodiac Ratpier. A potent opening! He played Ratpier and used it to Xyz Summon Zoodiac Boarbow. He Special Summoned a new Ratpier, then used Boarbow to play Zoodiac Broadbull. Broadbull put Lunalight Black Sheep in his hand, and he used that to get Fusion Substitute. He used Broadbull to play Zoodiac Chakanine, and had it bring Boarbow back to the field. Fusion Substitute combined his Zoodiacs into Elder Entity Norden, which revived Ratpier. He stacked Norden and Ratpier for Daigusto Emeral, and detached Norden for its effect. He recycled his Xyz Monsters, and drew Fire Formation – Tenki! He played it to get Zoodiac Ramram in his hand. He used the effect of Fusion Substitute in the Graveyard, returning Norden to his Extra Deck, and drew a second Tenki. Zoodiac Barrage came down, destroying his Tenki to Special Summon Zoodiac Thoroughblade. Thoroughblade’s effect let Furman discard Ramram to draw True King’s Return. He stacked Ratpier and Thoroughblade for another Chakanine, and Special Summoned Ramram to the field. He played Dragonic Diagram next, and had it destroy Ramram. He added Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King to his hand, and Ramram Special Summoned Thoroughblade. He used Chakanine to Special Summon Zoodiac Drident in Defense Position, Set Return and Imperial Order, and passed.
Kite began with Ratpier as well, using its effect to send Ramram to the Graveyard. Furman targeted Ratpier with Drident’s effect, Kite Chained Forbidden Chalice, and Furman flipped Imperial Order! Kite Set three to his back row. Still in the Main Phase, Furman flipped True King’s Return and used its effect to immediately Tribute Summon! He Tributed Zoodiac Barrage and Thoroughblade to play Master Peace, but Kite just Tributed it to Special Summon Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju to Furman’s side.
Furman drew Terraforming, and paid 700 Life Points for Imperial Order. He used his Emeral’s effect again, shuffling back three Zoodiacs into his Deck to draw another Terraforming. He tried to use Drident’s effect to destroy his own Imperial Order, but Kite used Dimensional Barrier to negate Drident! Since Dimensional Barrier had locked him out of Xyz Monsters anyway, Furman used True King’s Return to bring Master Peace to the field in Defense Position.
Kite drew, and Furman lost another 700 Life Points. Kite Set a card to his back row.
Furman drew Zoodiac Barrage and dropped to 5900 Life Points. He turned Master Peace to Attack Position and moved to the Battle Phase. Emeral, Kumongous, and Master Peace attacked to leave Kite with 850 Life Points. When Kite saw his next card, he conceded!

He used Invoker’s effect to Special Summon Ramram. He played Tenki to get Zoodiac Ratpier to his hand and Summoned it, sending Thoroughblade to the Graveyard. He used Ratpier to Xyz Summon Zoodiac Hammerkong, and Special Summoned another Ratpier. He played Zoodiac Barrage next, and had it destroy Ramram. With Barrage and Ramram, he Special Summoned Zoodiac Whiptail and Thoroughblade. He used Hammerkong to play Broadbull, and added a Whiptail to his hand. He stacked his on-field Whiptail and Ratpier for Daigusto Emeral, and used Broadbull to play Chakanine. That brought Hammerkong back to the field as well. Chakanine was turned into Zoodiac Tigermortar, and it attached Ramram to Hammerkong as an Xyz Material. Emeral returned Ratpier and two Xyz Monsters to let Kite draw a card. He activated Fusion Substitute, combining Emeral and Tigermortar into Elder Entity Norden, and Special Summoned Ratpier. Norden and Thoroughblade were used to play another Emeral, and it detached Norden to return Emeral and two Zoodiacs – but Furman finally chose to use the Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring he’d been holding, negating Emeral. Kite used his Ratpier to play Boarbow, and that to play Drident. He Set one card to his back row.
Furman had Master Peace, Speedroid Terrortop, Instant Fusion, Dark Hole, and Zoodiac Barrage. In Furman’s Standby Phase, Kite flipped Anti-Spell Fragrance!
That hurt, with Furman’s hand full of Spells. He Special Summoned Terrortop and added Taketomborg to his hand. Kite then chose to destroy Terrortop with Drident, and Furman conceded! He’d been totally locked down by Kite’s Drident and Anti-Spell Fragrance.
