Welcome to YCS Pittsburgh!
Welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!
999 Duelists have gathered to compete this weekend, in a tournament that is certain to shape the landscape of competitive Dueling. Zoodiac Decks, Paleozoic Decks, Metalfoes Decks, Infernoid Decks, Lightsworn Decks, and Invoked Windwitch Decks recently dominated the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events in Bogota, Colombia and Denver, Colorado; but everything changed on May 5th, with the release of the new Maximum Crisis booster set.
Duelists have been expecting Maximum Crisis to overhaul the competitive scene, and this weekend, we’ll find out just how big of an impact the release of Maximum Crisis will have. Many talented Duelists revamped their Decks to take advantage of the powerful new “True Draco” cards, while others are bolstering the already-popular “Zoodiac” strategy with new additions like Zoodiac Hammerkong and Zoodiac Chakanine.
The release of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring is also certain to have a major impact this weekend. The overwhelming power of That Grass Looks Greener swayed many Duelists to use 60-card Decks in recent tournaments, but Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring’s ability to negate That Grass Looks Greener (as well as many other popular effects) may start a trend where Duelists revert back to using Decks with 40 cards in them.
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring is just one of the many tech cards from Maximum Crisis that we can expect to see rise to the top tables this weekend. Tornado Dragon, Unending Nightmare, Ultra Polymerization, Set Rotation, Fairy Tail – Luna, and more cards from Maximum Crisis have found their way into Duelists’ Decks, and they are certain to influence the outcome of this weekend’s tournament.
The Duelists have entered the tournament hall, and the first round of competition is about to begin! Follow the coverage to see which cards from Maximum Crisis dominate this weekend’s tournament. It’s almost time to Duel!
