13-year-old Carlos Kaleb Villavicencio Ramirez from Guadalajara, Mexico is Dueling against 12-year-old David Alexander Villatoro Montenegro from Guatemala in a Match that will determine which Duelist becomes the winner of the Central American Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier. The stakes have never been higher for these young Duelists. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Villavicencio opened with Maxx “C”, Solemn Strike, Terraforming, and 2 copies of Fire Formation – Tenki.

He activated Tenki to add Zoodiac Ratpier from his Deck to his hand and then Normal Summoned it and used its effect to send Zoodiac Ramram from his Deck to his Graveyard. He Xyz Summoned Boarbow over Ratpier next, and used its effect to Special Summon another Ratpier from his Deck. He upgraded Boarbow into Broadbull, and used Broadbull’s effect to add Zoodiac Whiptail from his Deck to his hand. He Xyz Summoned Zoodiac Chakanine over Broadbull next, and used its effect to Special Summon Ramram. Then, he activated Terraforming, searching his Deck for Dragonic Diagram and adding it to his hand. He activated it and then used its effect to destroy Ramram and add True Draco Heritage from his Deck to his hand. He used Ramram’s effect to Special Summon Ratpier from his Graveyard and then combined his two copies of Ratpier to Xyz Summon Daigusto Emeral. He activated Emeral’s effect to return a Ratpier to his Main Deck and 2 Xyz Monsters to his Extra Deck and draw a Twin Twisters. He Set 3 cards to his back row and then Xyz Summoned Tigermortar over Chakanine. He used Tigermortar’s effect to detach Chakanine and attach Ramram to it instead. Finally, he upgraded his Tigermortar into Zoodiac Drident and ended his turn.

Villatoro activated Interrupted Kaiju Slumber, and Villavicencio Chained Maxx “C”. All monsters on the field were destroyed, and Villatoro Special Summoned Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju to Villavicencio’s field and Dogaran, the Mad Flame Kaiju to his own field. He activated Fire Formation – Tenki next, using its effect to add Zoodiac Thoroughblade from his Deck to his hand. He Summoned Thoroughblade and then attacked Gameciel with Dogaran to destroy it, and attacked directly with Thoroughblade. Villatoro tried to Xyz Summon Drident in Main Phase 2, but lost out to Solemn Strike. He Set a card to his back row before passing his turn. Villavicencio activated Twin Twisters in the End Phase, discarding Whiptail to destroy Villatoro’s face-up Tenki and face-down Kaiju Slumber.

Villavicencio Summoned Whiptail and then Xyz Summoned Boarbow and then Broadbull over it. He used Broadbull’s effect to add Whiptail to his hand and then flipped over Fire Formation – Tenki, using its effect to add Thoroughblade to his hand. He Xyz Summoned Drident next, and used its effect to destroy Dogaran. Next, he used the effect of his Diagram to destroy the Ramram in his hand and add Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King to his hand. He Special Summoned Whiptail from his Graveyard, and then activated True Draco Heritage. He Tribute Summoned Master Peace by Tributing Heritage and Whiptail, and then attacked directly with Drident and Master Peace, dropping Villatoro down to 3350 Life Points.

Villatoro Tributed Master Peace to Summon a Kaiju to Villavicencio’s field and then activated Raigeki to clear the field! He activated Zoodiac Barrage next, and then used Barrage’s effect to destroy it and Special Summon Ratpier from his Deck. He Xyz Summoned Hammerkong over Ratpier, and then Special Summoned another Ratpier from his Deck. Next, he Xyz Summoned Chakanine over Hammerkong, and activated Chakanine’s effect to Special Summon Thoroughblade from his Graveyard. He Xyz Summoned Broadbull over Chakanine, and used Broadbull’s effect to add Thoroughblade to his hand. He Summoned Boarbow over Broadbull, and then Drident over Boarbow. He Normal Summoned Thoroughblade and then attacked directly with both Thoroughblades. He attacked with Drident next, and attached Whiptail to Drident to increase its ATK by 1200, giving it enough ATK to finish Villavicencio off!

Duel Two

Villavicencio opened with Zoodiac Whiptail, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Dragonic Diagram, Imperial Order, and Solemn Strike. He Summoned Whiptail and then Xyz Summoned Boarbow over it. He Xyz Summoned Broadbull next and activated its effect, but lost out to Villatoro’s Ash Blossom. Next, he Xyz Summoned Drident over Broadbull. He Set Solemn Strike and Imperial Order before ending his turn.

Villatoro activated Fire Formation – Tenki, and Villavicencio flipped Imperial Order to negate it. He Summoned Zoodiac Ramram next, then Xyz Summoned Boarbow over Ramram. Then he tried to Xyz Summon Broadbull, but lost out to Villavicencio’s Solemn Strike. Villatoro Set 2 cards to his back row before passing his turn.

Villavicencio drew Solemn Strike. He paid 700 Life Points to keep Imperial Order and then Set the Solemn Strike. Next, he tried to use Drident to destroy his own Imperial Order, but Villatoro negated the effect and destroyed Drident with Solemn Strike.

Villatoro drew a card, and Villavicencio lost another 700 Life Points due to Imperial Order. Villatoro Summoned Denko Sekka next, and attacked directly.

Villavicencio drew Baobaboon and lost another 700 Life Points. He Summoned Baobaboon and used its effect to draw Terraforming and then put it on the bottom of his Deck. He attacked Denko Sekka with Baobaboon, losing 500 Life Points and causing Baobaboon to be destroyed. Villavicencio Special Summoned two more copies of Baobaboon from his Deck, and used their effects to draw another Terraforming to put on the bottom of his Deck, and draw a Ramram that he also sent to the bottom of his Deck. Villavicencio combined his two Baobaboons to Xyz Summon M-X-Saber Invoker next, and used its effect to Special Summon Zoodiac Ramram from his Deck in Defense Position. He Xyz Summoned Hammerkong over Ramram and then Broadbull over Hammerkong. He used Broadbull’s effect to add Zoodiac Whiptail to his hand and then Xyz Summoned Chakanine over Broadbull. He used Chakanine’s effect to Special Summon Ramram from his Graveyard in Defense Position and then Xyz Summoned Tigermortar over Chakanine. He used Tigermortar’s effect to swap one of its Xyz Materials for a Whiptail, and then Xyz Summoned Drident over Tigermortar. He used Drident’s effect to destroy his own Imperial Order and then activated Dragonic Diagram; but Villatoro used his own Imperial Order to negate it!

Villatoro drew a card and lost 700 Life Points due to Imperial Order. He attacked Invoker with Denko, and Drident’s effect was activated to destroy Denko Sekka. Villatoro used Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy Drident before Denko Sekka went down. Villatoro Set a card to his back row before ending his turn.

Villavicencio drew a card and then used the effect of M-X-Saber Invoker to Special Summon Zoodiac Thoroughblade from his Deck. He Xyz Summoned Chakanine over Ramram next, and Villatoro flipped Solemn Warning and gave up 2000 Life Points to negate the Summon and destroy Chakanine. Villavicencio attacked with Invoker and passed his turn.

Villatoro drew a card and then paid 700 Life Points with Imperial Order, dropping down to 1400 Life Points.

Villavicencio attacked directly with Invoker on his next turn, finishing Villatoro off!

The Match is moving into a third and final Duel that will determine who gets to compete in the Dragon Duel World Championship!

Duel Three

Villatoro started off Duel 3 by Normal Summoning Ratpier and activating its effect to send Zoodiac Combo from his Deck to his Graveyard.

He Xyz Summoned Hammerkong over Ratpier next, and detached Ratpier to Special Summon another Ratpier from his Deck. Next, he Xyz Summoned Chakanine over Hammerkong, and used its effect to Special Summon Hammerkong back from the Graveyard. He Xyz Summoned Broadbull over Chakanine, and used its effect to add Zoodiac Whiptail from his Deck to his hand. He Xyz Summoned Zoodiac Tigermortar next, and detached an Xyz Material to give Hammerkong an Xyz Material instead. He Xyz Summoned Boarbow over Tigermortar and then Drident over Boarbow and Set 1 card to his back row before ending his turn.

Villavicencio opened with Zoodiac Thoroughblade, Terraforming, True King’s Return, Baobaboon, and 2 copies of Zoodiac Ratpier. He activated Terraforming to add Dragonic Diagram to his hand and then activated it. He tried to use its effect, but Villatoro used the effect of his Drident to destroy it. Next, Villavicencio Normal Summoned Ratpier and activated its effect. Villatoro discarded Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit from his hand to destroy the Ratpier, and then Villavicencio sent Ramram from his Deck to his Graveyard with the effect of Ratpier. Villavicencio Set True King’s Return before ending his turn, and Hammerkong lost an Xyz Material in the End Phase.

Villatoro Xyz Summoned Broadbull over Hammerkong and used its effect to add Thoroughblade from his Deck to his hand. Next, he banished Zoodiac Combo from his Graveyard and sent 4 monsters to his Extra Deck and a Ratpier to his Main Deck to draw 1 card. He Normal Summoned Thoroughblade next, and used its effect to discard Ramram and draw a card. Next, he activated Fire Formation – Tenki and added Zoodiac Whiptail to his hand. He Xyz Summoned Hammerkong over Ratpier next, and detached Ratpier to Special Summon another Ratpier from his Deck. He combined Ratpier with Thoroughblade next, and Xyz Summoned Tornado Dragon. He detached an Xyz Material to destroy Villavicencio’s face-down True King’s Return, and True King’s Return activated to destroy Drident. Villatoro Xyz Summoned Chakanine and then detached an Xyz Material to Special Summon Hammerkong from his Graveyard. He Xyz Summoned Tigermortar next, and used its effect to attach a Ramram to Hammerkong. He attacked with Tornado Dragon and Drident, and attached two Whiptails from his hand to Drident to increase its ATK by 2400. Villavicencio dropped down to 3400 Life Points.

Villavicencio drew a Flying “C”. He Summoned Baobaboon and used its effect to draw Tenki and send a card from his hand to the bottom of his Deck. Villatoro discarded Droll & Lock Bird from his hand to prevent Villavicencio from drawing any more cards during the turn. Baobaboon attacked Tornado Dragon, causing Baobaboon to be destroyed, and Villavicencio Special Summoned two more copies of Baobaboon from his Deck in Defense Position. Villavicencio desperately combined his two Baobaboons into M-X-Saber Invoker, but Drident destroyed it immediately. He Set a bluff Tenki before passing, and lost that to Tornado Dragon.

Villatoro’s monsters finished Villavicencio off on the next turn!
