New Game Mats At YCS Toronto!

August 26th, 2017

There are a lot of factors making YCS Toronto a special weekend, and prizes are a big one. The debut of a new YCS Prize Card is always a big deal, and this weekend marks the release of Number 89: Diablosis the Mind Hacker – the main event runners-up will each win a Super Rare copy, while the Champion of YCS Toronto will claim an even scarcer Ultra Rare version.

We’ll bring you a look at the new Prize Card tomorrow, because right now it’s being held securely under lock and key offsite. But Number 89: Diablosis the Mind Hacker isn’t the only new prize here this weekend! Three new Game Mats are on offer, starting with the new Regional Qualifier Mat.

Regional Qualifier Mat

This awesome new Topologic Bomber Dragon arrived last week, awarded at the first Regional Qualifiers of the season. It’s back this weekend, offered as a prize for 16-Duelist single elimination Regional Qualifier flights. We haven’t seen Topologic Bomber Dragon in action yet, but the day is young, and its powerful field-wiping effect has made it a common sight in tournaments abroad.

Yuri Win-A-Mat

The new Win-A-Mat Game Mat is all-new for YCS Toronto, featuring Yuri from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V and his signature Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, one of the most sought-after cards from Invasion: Vengeance. It was just reprinted in the 2017 Mega-Tin Mega Packs, and ARC-V fans in attendance this weekend will get first crack at it before it’s made available in future events.

Top Cut Mat

And finally, the Top 32 finishers this weekend will all go home with the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Top Cut Game Mat, featuring Number 89: Diablosis the Mind Hacker! New Top Cut mats are always a hot commodity, so while the ultimate prize is reserved for the Top 3 this weekend – the Prize Card itself – anyone who makes Top 32 is walking away with a really spectacular Game Mat that’s sure to be in huge demand.

With Generation Duels, Starter Deck Tournaments, Structure Deck Tournaments, Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Tournaments, ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!, and lots of other events, there are tons of different prizes to be won this weekend. The Game Mats highlighted above are just some of the exclusive rewards available, and to the victors go the spoils.

We’ll bring you a look at more prizes tomorrow morning, but for now it’s time to get on to Round 4 of the main event!
