YCS San Diego: QQ – What’s best, and how to beat it?
QQ stands for Quick Questions! We asked our Duelists what they felt was going to be the strongest Deck here at YCS San Diego, and what cards they’re using to counteract it.
“SPYRAL – Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Evenly Matched” -James Markowitz
“SPYRAL / Hand trap Decks. Counter: Trickstar / Disturbance Strategy / Prohibition” -Emory Landry
“SPYRAL. My charming personality and Ash Blossom” -Ridley Richards
“SPYRAL or Magician definitely and I’m using Trickstar to counter it because of all the hand traps I can play.” -Michael State
“SPYRAL and what I am using is Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries.” Edward Can’t-Read-Your-Last-Name
“SPYRAL, banish their resources” -Jesus Tovar
“SPYRAL, and I’m playing as many hand traps as I can.” -Jesse Kotton
“I believe SPYRAL is the strongest. Cherries and Droll & Lock Bird.” -Mason Blake
“SPYRAL. Quarter of my Deck is hand traps.” -Yoell Ramirez
The consensus seems to be nearly unanimous – SPYRAL is considered the biggest threat this weekend. Every single answer mentioned SPYRAL, except a handful of jokers who answered with “My Deck”…
It looks like most Duelists are planning for the SPYRAL match with hand traps, the monsters that behave like a Trap Card such as Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries, or Maxx “C”. A few other Duelists are using Trickstars to disrupt the opponent’s combos.
