Duel 2
Moore elected to go first in Duel 2. He started with Set Rotation, giving Boone Union Hangar while giving himself Dragon Ravine. He flipped up Dragon Ravine and activated the effect, discarding A-Assault Core to dump Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from the Deck to the Graveyard. Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm hopped out of the Graveyard, then Moore Normal Summoned Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and the two monsters were used to Synchro Summon Ancient Fairy Dragon. (Moore then said “when you discard the wrong monster for Dragon Ravine, you gotta do what you gotta do!”) Its effect was used to destroy the Field Spell, but Boone shut it down with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.
Boone started off with Gouki Suprex whose effect Special Summoned Gouki Riscorpio. The two monsters were used to Link Summon Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights. The three monsters started a new Chain with Moore responding with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring negating Gouki Suprex’s effect which was the last link in the chain. Boone added Gouki Twistcobra and Gouki Re-Match to his hand, and Gouki Re-Match was activated, Special Summoning Gouki Riscorpio and Gouki Suprex. Gouki Headbatt came down next, then all 3 monsters were used to Link Summon Borreload Dragon. Gouki Headbatt was used to add Gouki Suprex to hand, and Borreload Dragon attacked into and stole Ancient Fairy Dragon. Its effect was used in Main Phase 2 to blow up Dragon Ravine.
Moore activated Union Hangar which searched for B-Buster Drake, which was Normal Summoned and C-Crush Wyvern was equipped from the Deck. A-Assault Core was banished from the Graveyard along with the other 2 cards from the field to Special Summon ABC-Dragon Buster. Borreload Dragon redirected its attack to C-Crush Wyvern, taking it. Gouki Twistcobra’s effect Tributed Gouki Headbatt to power up Gouki Suprex letting it attack over B-Buster Drake, forcing the equipped A-Assault Core off. In Main Phase 2, Gouki Suprex and C-Crush Wyvern were used to Xyz Summon Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir.
Moore Normal Summoned A-Assault Core which switched to Defense Position due to Number 41’s effect. Union Hangar equipped C-Crush Wyvern to A-Assault Core. Next, Pot of Desires came down, banishing 10 cards face-down to let Moore draw 2. He then used the two monsters to Link Summon Qliphort Genius! Time was called in the round. A-Assault Core’s effect added back another A-Assault Core while B-Buster Drake’s effect added another B-Buster Drake. He then banished an A, B and C from his Graveyard to Special Summon ABC-Dragon Buster from the Extra Deck which was forced to Defense Position. Boone then activated Borreload Dragon’s effect to cut ABC’s ATK by 500.
Boone drew Gouki Headbatt for turn. He detached Gouki Suprex from Number 41 to keep it around. Then, Gouki Re-Match came down, Special Summoning Gouki Headbatt and Gouki Riscorpio from the Graveyard. The 4 Gouki monsters were used to Link Summon Saryuja Skull Dread! All 4 Gouki effects added 4 more cards from Deck to hand and Skull Dread’s effect let Boone draw 4 and send 3 back to the bottom of the Deck. He sent Evenly Matched, Gouki Twistcobra and another Gouki back to the Deck. Borreload Dragon attacked into and stole ABC-Dragon Buster and Skull Dread attacked directly. Next, Boone switched Number 41 to Attack Position, allowing him to use ABC-Dragon Buster’s effect to banish Union Hangar. He Set Twin Twisters and passed.
Moore activated a second Pot of Desires, but Boone used Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to stop it, and that was enough to end the Match!
