We started with 144 Duelists and now we’re down to 8! It’s 3 Rounds of Single Elimination until we have a winner and a new Ultimate Duelist Series Champion! Ed Acepcion and Aaron Arturo Aguirre Osuna already played each other in Round 10, so they’re already familiar with what they’re going up against; but this time the stakes are higher as each Duelist is just 3 wins from the title of Champion and all of the perks that come with it! It’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Acepcion won the roll and elected to go first. Aguirre Osuna started by Normal Summoning Magical Musketeer Kidbrave and used Pot of Duality to add Pot of Desires from his Deck to his hand. He used Magical Musketeer Kidbrave’s effect, discarding Magical Musketeer Doc to draw 2 cards. Acepcion then activated Pot of Desires, banishing 10 cards from his Deck to draw 2 cards.

Aguirre Osuna had Zefra Providence, 2 copies of Zefraath, Dragon Shrine, and Zefra Divine Strike. He drew Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit for turn. He used Dragon Shrine to send Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from his Deck to his Graveyard. He used its effect to Special Summon Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from the Graveyard then used the effect to add Supreme King Gate Zero from his Deck to his hand. Aguirre Osuna then activated Zefra Providence to add Satellarknight Zefrathuban from his Deck to his hand. He activated Zefraath then Normal Summoned Satellarknight Zefrathuban and tried to use the effect; but Acepcion activated Magical Musket – Cross-Domination from his hand to negate its effect. Acepcion activated Magical Musketeer Kidbrave’s effect, but Aguirre Osuna Chained Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy it. Aguirre Osuna then placed Supreme King Gate Zero in the Pendulum Zone, then used Satellarknight Zefrathuban and Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite. He tried to use the effect, but Acepcion Chained Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy it. Aguirre Osuna sent Zefraath to the Extra Deck. He then Pendulum Summoned Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing and used its effect to add Nine Pillars of the Yang Zing to his hand. He Set 2 cards and passed.

Acepcion Normal Summoned Magical Musketeer Caspar then activated Raigeki behind it. Acepcion Chained Nine Pillars of the Yang Zing, negating Raigeki and sending it back to Acepcion’s Deck while also destroying Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing. He used the fallen Yang Zing’s effect to add Zefra Providence from his Deck to his hand. Acepcion then activated Pot of Duality behind Magical Musketeer Caspar, but Aguirre Osuna Chained Zefra Divine Strike, banishing the Zefraath from his Extra Deck to negate it. Acepcion then activated another Pot of Duality behind Magical Musketeer Caspar, revealing 2 copies of Ties of the Brethren and an Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He took Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, then used the effect of Magical Musketeer Caspar to add Magical Musket – Desperado from his Deck to his hand.

Aguirre Osuna drew for turn, Acepcion activated Desperado behind Magical Musketeer Caspar to destroy Aguirre Osuna’s Supreme King Gate Zero. Acepcion activated Magical Musketeer Caspar’s effect, but Acepcion Chained Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy the monster. Acepcion added another Magical Musket – Desperado to his hand. Aguirre Osuna then tried to activate Zefra Providence, but Acepcion Chained Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate it. Aguirre Osuna then used Zefraath’s effect to send Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing from the Deck to the Extra Deck. He then placed another Zefraath in the other Pendulum Zone then Pendulum Summoned Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing and used the effect to add Zefra War to his hand. He passed there.

Acepcion drew for turn. He Normal Summoned Magical Musketeer Caspar. Aguirre Osuna activated Zefra War, destroying Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing and Magical Musketeer Caspar.

Aguirre Osuna drew Oracle of Zefra, which was activated, adding Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi to his hand. She was Normal Summoned, and her effect added another Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing from his Extra Deck to his hand. He then used one Zefraath to send Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing to his Extra Deck. He then used Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi and Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite, and that was enough to cause Acepcion to concede the Duel!

Duel 2

Acepcion elected to go first. He Normal Summoned Magical Musketeer Kidbrave then activated Pot of Duality, adding another Magical Musketeer Kidbrave to his hand. He used Magical Musketeer Kidbrave’s effect, discarding the new one, but Aguirre Osuna Chained Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy the monster. He activated Upstart Goblin to draw a card, then Acepcion Set 2 cards to the back row and passed.

Aguirre Osuna activated Dragon Shrine and sent Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from the Deck to the Graveyard. Its effect Special Summoned itself and its other effect added Supreme King Gate Zero from his Deck to his hand. Next, Aguirre Osuna activated Zefra Providence to add Oracle of Zefra to his hand, which was activated to add Stellarknight Zefraxciton from his Deck to his hand. He then activated Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing and Acepcion Chained Rivalry of Warlords. Aguirre Osuna then activated Zefraath; but when he tried to activate Zefra War, Acepcion Chained Solemn Scolding to negate it! Aguirre Osuna then used Zefraath to send Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing to the Extra Deck from the Deck. Aguirre Osuna attacked with Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm.

Acepcion drew for turn. He Normal Summoned Magical Musketeer Caspar, then activated Magical Musket – Desperado behind it to destroy Aguirre Osuna’s Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm. He added Magical Musket – Cross-Domination to his hand with Magical Musketeer Caspar. He attacked with Magical Musketeer Caspar and passed.

Aguirre Osuna tried to Special Summon Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju to Acepcion’s field by Tributing Magical Musketeer Caspar but couldn’t do so because of Rivalry of Warlords. Instead, he Pendulum Summoned Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing from the Extra Deck and activated the effect. Acepcion Chained Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit and Aguirre Osuna used his in-Graveyard Zefra Providence to protect the monster. Aguirre Osuna added another Zefra Providence to his hand with the effect of Zefraniu and activated Providence to add Satellarknight Zefrathuban to his hand.

Acepcion drew, shifted Magical Musketeer Caspar to Defense Position, and passed.

Aguirre Osuna activated Terraforming, adding another copy of Oracle of Zefra from his Deck to his hand. He activated it and added Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing from his Deck to his hand. He then Normal Summoned Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing and passed. In the End Phase, Acepcion activated Magical Musket – Desperado from his hand behind Magical Musketeer Caspar, destroying Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing. Magical Musketeer Caspar’s effect added Magical Musketeer Doc from his Deck to his hand.

Acepcion Normal Summoned Magical Musketeer Doc and passed.

Aguirre Osuna switched Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing to Attack Position and crashed it into Magical Musketeer Doc. He used Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing’s effect to add Zefra Divine Strike to his hand. In Main Phase 2, Aguirre Osuna Normal Summoned Satellarknight Zefrathuban, but Acepcion used Magical Musket – Cross-Domination from his hand to negate it.

Acepcion’s Magical Musketeer Doc attacked into Satellarknight Zefrathuban and Magical Musketeer Caspar attacked directly.

Aguirre Osuna used Zefraath’s effect to send a Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing from the Deck to the Extra Deck. He then Pendulum Summoned Satellarknight Zefrathuban whose effect destroyed Acepcion’s Rivalry. That allowed him to Tribute Acepcion’s Magical Musketeer Caspar for Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju. Aguirre Osuna then activated Dragon Ravine, sending Stellarknight Zefraxciton to the Graveyard to activate its effect; but Acepcion Chained Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy the Field Spell. Aguirre Osuna Chained his face-down Zefra Divine Strike; but Acepcion Chained Magical Musket – Last Stand from his hand to negate Divine Strike!

Aguirre Osuna continued by activating Supreme King Gate Zero, Setting Nine Pillars of the Yang Zing and passing.

Acepcion used Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju to destroy Satellarknight Zefrathurban then Magical Musketeer Doc attacked directly. Acepcion used Desperado to destroy Aguirre Osuna’s Supreme King Gate Zero.

Aguirre Osuna drew and activated Terraforming, but Acepcion Chained Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and Aguirre Osuna conceded! We’re going to the third and final duel!

Duel 3

Aguirre Osuna activated Oracle of Zefra to add Zefraath to his hand, which was activated and used to kick Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing from the Deck to the Extra Deck. He then activated Zefra Providence to add Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi from his Deck to his hand. He Normal Summoned it to add the Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing in his Extra Deck back to his hand. He then activated Dragon Ravine over Oracle of Zefra and used the effect, discarding Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit; but Acepcion negated it with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He activated Supreme King Gate Zero from his hand, then Pendulum Summoned a monster. The 2 monsters on his field were used to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite. Its effect destroyed Supreme King Gate Zero to add back the Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing in his Extra Deck and draw a card. Acepcion Set Zefra Divine Strike and passed.

Acepcion activated Upstart Goblin to draw a card. He then activated Pot of Duality, revealing another Pot of Duality, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, and Magical Musketeer Kidbrave. He took the Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit. He went into the Battle Phase and at the end of the Battle Phase, he activated Evenly Matched; but Acepcion negated it with Zefra Divine Strike!

Aguirre Osuna used Zefraath to send Zefraniu, Secret of the Yang Zing to the Extra Deck. He then tried to Pendulum Summon Zefraniu from the Extra Deck, but Acepcion negated the Summon with Solemn Scolding! Aguirre Osuna then used the effect of Heavymetalfoes Electrumite to destroy Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing and to draw a card. He Normal Summoned Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi and use the effect to add Zefraxi, Treasure of the Yang Zing from his Extra Deck to his hand. Aguirre Osuna then attacked with Ritual Beast Tamer Zefrawendi and Heavymetalfoes Electrumite.

Acepcion activated Pot of Duality but Aguirre Osuna negated it with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Acepcion extended the handshake!

Aaron Arturo Aguirre Osuna moves on to Top 4!
