Duel 2
Sullivan elected to go first. He started with Brilliant Fusion, sending Gem-Knight Garnet and Performage Trick Clown. Trick Clown’s effect Special Summoned itself with Sullivan dropping to 7000 LP. Foolish Burial came down next, sending Performage Damage Juggler from the Deck to the Graveyard which was banished to add Performage Hat Tricker from the Deck to the hand which was immediately Special Summoned. He then used the additional Normal Summon for the second Gem-Knight Garnet (which elicited a groan from everyone at the table). He sent it, Seraphinite and Performage Hat Tricker to Link Summon Curious the Lightsworn Dominion! When the effect resolved, BTS couldn’t negate Abyss Dweller since Abyss Dweller wasn’t on the field and the monster’s effect resolved! Sullivan activated the Performage Trick Clown he detached, taking another 1000 LP to Special Summon it. Gonzalez Set another Anti-Spell Fragrance and passed.
Sullivan used Fairy Tail – Snow and Performage Trick Clown to Xyz Summon Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn! He activated Minerva’s effect, detaching Performage Trick Clown but Gonzalez chained Lost Wind targeting Minerva. Sullivan contemplated chaining, which he did, using the second Fairy Tail – Snow, banishing Minerva, Curious the Lightsworn Dominion, 2 cards from his hand and everything else from his Graveyard, sending Shiranui Solitaire, Giant Rex and Dimensional Barrier from Sullivan’s Deck to his Graveyard. Performage Trick Clown came out again, then it and the first Fairy Tail – Snow were used to Xyz Summon Tornado Dragon! Gonzalez Xyz Summoned Toadally Awesome and attacked over Performage Trick Clown. In the End Phase, Sullivan used Fairy Tail – Snow, banishing 6 cards and Giant Rex. (Time in the round was called here). Fairy Tail – Snow was Special Summoned. In the next chain, Fairy Tail – Snow was Chain Link 1 and the Giant Rex was Chain Link 2, effectively preventing Snow’s effect from being negated by Toadally Awesome. The chain resolved and Toadally Awesome went face-down and Giant Rex was Special Summoned.
In turn 1 of time, Sullivan Normal Summoned Mezuki. Giant Rex attacked the face-down Toadally Awesome (since Giant Rex can’t attack directly) and Fairy Tail – Snow and Mezuki attacked directly to end the Duel.
