Jones consistently sees strong results in the tournaments that he enters, and now he’s Dueling using one of the most consistent Decks out there. Duel One

Torres Reyes started off the Duel by activating Terraforming to add Sky Striker Airspace – Area Zero to his hand, prompting Jones to discard Droll & Lock Bird. He then Set 2 cards to his back row and Normal Summoned Sky Striker Ace – Raye. He used its effect to Tribute it and Special Summon Sky Striker Ace – Kagari and then Set his Field Spell Card.

Jones drew a card and then had Scapegoat, Droll & Lock Bird, 2 copies of Trickstar Reincarnation, and 2 copies of Effect Veiler. He Set 3 cards and passed.

Torres Reyes Set a card and then used Area Zero to destroy his newly Set Sky Striker Mecharmory – Hercules Base and add Sky Striker Maneuver – Afterburners! to his hand. He attacked with Kagari and then used it to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Shizuku in Main Phase 2. He Set another card to his back row and Jones used Effect Veiler to negate the effect of Shizuku. Jones activated Scapegoat in the End Phase to Special Summon 4 Sheep Tokens.

Jones drew Trickstar Candina and then used a Sheep Token to Link Summon Linkuriboh. He used another Token to Link Summon Link Spider next, and then used another Token and his Link Spider to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix. He activated its effect by discarding Effect Veiler, targeting Torres Reyes’s face-down card; but Torres Reyes flipped Sky Striker Mecha – Widow Anchor to negate its effect. Jones Summoned Candina and used its effect, but Torres Reyes Chained his face-down Shared Ride. Jones added Trickstar Light Stage to his hand, and Torres Reyes drew a card and lost 200 Life Points to Candina’s effect. Jones activated the Light Stage to add Lycoris to his hand, allowing Torres Reyes to draw another card with Shared Ride. Next, Jones used his Light Stage’s effect to pin down Torres Reyes’s face-down card. Jones Special Summoned Lycoris by returning Candina to his hand and then combined Knightmare Phoenix with Linkuriboh and Lycoris to Link Summon Borreload Dragon. He attacked Shizuku with Borreload, gaining control of Shizuku with Borreload’s effect, and then ended his turn after attacking. Torres Reyes sent his face-down Shared Ride to the Graveyard due to the effect of Light Stage.

Torres Reyes drew a card, prompting Jones to activate Trickstar Reincarnation, and when Torres Reyes Chained Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate it, Jones Chained another Reincarnation. Torres Reyes Chained Sky Striker Mecha – Hornet Drones from his hand to Special Summon a Sky Striker Ace Token to his field, and then banished the Upstart Goblin and Sky Striker Maneuver – Afterburners! from his hand to draw 2 new cards. He used the effect of his Area Zero, prompting Jones to banish Trickstar Reincarnation from his Graveyard and Special Summon Lycoris. Torres Reyes added a Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! from the top of his Deck to his hand and destroyed his Token, losing 400 Life Points in the process. Then he used Engage to add Sky Striker Maneuver – Afterburners! to his hand and draw a card, losing another 600 Life Points. Torres Reyes activated Afterburners to destroy Borreload and Light Stage, and then activated a Hornet Drones to Special Summon a Token. He used the Token to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Kagari and then used Kagari’s effect to add Sky Striker Mecharmory – Hercules Base from his Graveyard to his hand, losing another 200 Life Points. He equipped his Kagari with Hercules Base, and when he tried to attack with it, Jones Special Summoned Linkuriboh from his Graveyard by giving up a Sheep Token! In Main Phase 2, Torres Reyes used Kagari to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Shizuku and then entered his End Phase. Jones’s Shizuku was sent to the Graveyard, while Torres Reyes’s Shizuku added Sky Striker Mecha Modules – Multirole from his Deck to his hand. Torres Reyes lost another 200 Life Points.

Jones drew Terraforming and then Normal Summoned Candina. He activated its effect but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, Jones used Terraforming to add Trickstar Light Stage to his hand and activated it. He used its effect to add Trickstar Lilybell from his Deck to his hand and Special Summoned it to the field with its effect. Next, he combined all 4 of his monsters to Link Summon Saryuja Skull Dread! He drew Scapegoat, Effect Veiler, Phantom Skyblaster, and Trickstar Candina. He kept the Effect Veiler and sent the other 3 cards to the bottom of his Deck. Next, he banished Reincarnation from his Graveyard to Special Summon Lilybell linked to Skull Dread. He attacked directly with Lilybell, adding Lycoris from his Graveyard to his hand with its effect, and then Special Summoned Lycoris from his hand, linked to Saryuja, by returning Lilybell.

Torres Reyes drew a card and lost 400 Life Points. Then, he activated Sky Striker Mecha Modules – Multirole and used Shizuku to Link Summon Kagkari. He activated its effect but lost out to Effect Veiler. He activated a Hornet Drones to Special Summon a Token next, and then used the Token to Link Summon Linkuriboh. Next, he combined Linkuriboh with Shizuku to Link Summon Knightmare Cerberus, and used the Cerberus’s effect to discard Diabolos, Lord of the Lair and destroy Lycoris. He used Multirole to destroy his Area Zero and Special Summon Sky Striker Ace – Raye from his Deck, and then Tributed Raye to Special Summon Shizuku and Special Summon Diabolos, Lord of the Lair from his Graveyard. He attacked Skull Dread with Diabolos to destroy it, and then attacked directly with Knightmare Cerberus and Shizuku, dropping Jones down to 1600 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Torres Reyes used Diabolos’s effect to force Jones to put the Lilybell in his hand on the bottom of his Deck. Next, Torres Reyes combined his monsters to Link Summon Knightmare Cerberus, and used its effect to discard PSY-Frame Driver and shuffle Light Stage into Jones’s Deck. He Set Hornet Drones from his Graveyard to his field in the End Phase with the effect of Multirole.

With no cards in his hand or on his field, Jones drew Sky Striker Mecha – Hornet Drones! He activated it to Special Summon a Token that he used to Summon Kagari and then used Kagari’s effect to return Hornet Drones from his Graveyard to his hand. He used Kagari to Link Summon Shizuku and then Set the Hornet Drones. In his End Phase, Jones added Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! from his Deck to his hand. Torres Reyes activated his Hornet Drones in the End Phase to Special Summon a Token to the field and used Multirole to Set Engage in his End Phase.

Torres Reyes used Engage to add Widow Anchor to his hand and then Normal Summoned Phantom Skyblaster. Jones conceded, realizing that even with Hornet Drones face-down, he would have no way of surviving the turn.

Jones opened up with 2 copies of Heavy Storm Duster, 2 Trickstar Reincarnation, and Called by the Grave.

He Set all 5 cards and then ended his turn.

Torres Reyes Set 4 cards to his back row and passed. In the End Phase, Jones flipped 2 copies of Heavy Storm Duster to destroy all 4 of Torres Reyes’s face-down cards: Scapegoat, Twin Twisters, Mystical Space Typhoon, and Sky Striker Mecha – Widow Anchor!

Jones drew Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage!! He activated it to add Hornet Drones to his hand, used Hornet Drones to Special Summon a Token, and then used the Token to Link Summon Kagari. He used Kagari’s effect to return Engage to his hand, Link Summoned Shizuku, and then added another Engage from his Deck to his hand in the End Phase.

Torres Reyes drew a card and Set a card to his back row.

Jones drew Droll & Lock Bird and then activated Engage to add Sky Striker Maneuver – Jamming Waves! from his Deck to his hand. He activated it to target Torres Reyes’s face-down Scapegoat, which he Chained. Jones activated Engage next, and when Torres Reyes tried to negate it with Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Jones Chained Called by the Grave to banish the Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and resolve his Engage. He added Hornet Drones to his hand with Engage and then drew Trickstar Light Stage from the top of his Deck! He activated it to add Candina to his hand, then Link Summoned Kagari. He used Kagari’s effect to add Engage to his hand then used Engage to add Hornet Drones to his hand and draw Called by the Grave. He activated Hornet Drones, Chaining another Hornet Drones and Special Summoning 2 Tokens to the field, and then Summoned Candina and used its effect. He combined Kagari with a Token to Link Summon Space Insulator next, and then used a Token to Link Summon Linkuriboh. He attacked 3 Tokens, then returned Candina to his hand to Special Summon Lycoris and destroy the last Sheep Token. Jones combined his 4 monsters to Link Summon Topologic Bomber Dragon in Main Phase 2 and then Set a card.

Torres Reyes used Afterburners to destroy Bomber Dragon and Called by the Grave.

Jones Summoned a monster and attacked directly with it on his next turn, and when he revealed his 2 face-down Trickstar Reincarnations, Torres Reyes conceded.

Jones manages to use 2 copies of Heavy Storm Duster to destroy 4 of Torres Reyes’s cards on Torres Reyes’s first turn of the Duel and take the victory in Duel 2!

Duel Three

Torres Reyes activated Sky Striker Mecha Modules – Multirole and then used Foolish Burial Goods to send Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! from his Deck to his Graveyard.

He activated Hornet Drones next, and then used the Token that it Special Summoned to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Kagari. He used Kagari’s effect to return Engage to his hand and then used Engage to add Area Zero from his Deck to his hand. He activated Area Zero’s effect targeting Kagari, and then added Widow Anchor to his hand and destroyed Kagari. He destroyed Area Zero with Multirole to Special Summon Raye, and then used Raye to Summon Sky Striker Ace – Shizuku. He Set 2 cards to his back row and then Set Area Zero, Engage, and Hornet Drones from his Graveyard with Multirole, and added an Engage from his Deck to his hand with Shizuku’s effect.

Jones opened up with Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage!, Trickstar Light Stage, Terraforming, Phantom Skyblaster, Mind Control, and Trickstar Lycoris. He activated Light Stage to add Candina to his hand and then used Light Stage to pin down one of Torres Reyes’s back row cards. Next, he activated Terraforming to add another Light Stage to his hand. He activated the other Light Stage to add Lycoris to his hand, using the new Light Stage to pin down the same card. Next, Jones activated Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! to add Sky Striker Maneuver – Jamming Waves! from his Deck to his hand, destroying Torres Reyes’s face-down Widow Anchor, and Torres Reyes Chained it, targeting Shizuku. Jones Normal Summoned Phantom Skyblaster next and used its effect to Special Summon a Token. He Link Summoned Knightmare Goblin, then discarded Lycoris to gain a Summon and Normal Summon Candina, He used Candina’s effect to add Lilybell to his hand and Special Summoned Lilybell with its effect. He used Mind Control to take control of Shizuku next, and then used Shizuku to Link Summon Kagari. He used Kagari’s effect to return Engage to his hand, and then attacked directly with all of his monsters, returning a Lycoris to his hand with Lilybell’s effect. He then Special Summoned Lycoris by returning Lilybell to his hand. He attacked directly with Lycoris to end the Duel and the Match!
